1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse EID Tedros

Feb 4, 2010

    1. The SEs were quite fast, like a month & a half-- but the LEs (esp colored ones) have always been more like 3 months! Well, then again, my last one was Luo who was just over 2 months. Maybe their shipping-and-mfg department has gotten bigger & faster recently thanks to their past year's successes. ^^

I just got a raise at work (hooray boss! <3) and so it turns out I will not have to bother with layaway after all. Tedros will be mine sometime next week, too! But, yes, after the payment, of course: the waiting. Am hoping it IS a month and a half.

      om nom nom ringmaster. :chocoberry

    2. Congrats on your raise! (more expendable income for dolly delights! :kitty2) And, congrats on being able to get Tedros without layaway. (Won't he get delivered faster if he is not on layaway?)

    3. Opps, might have put my post in the wrong section. But I'm getting him.
      Hi all,
New to this room. But I just ordered a complete set of the Tedros Circus master Set. Super Hero Body, full mobility, outfit, makeup, shoes, wigs, eyes and animal parts. I have been trying to find a boy "Male" doll for the last couple of years for my DES girl, and I think this will be the one (he better be with what all I paid). I'm so excited. I haven't ordered anything from Iplehouse in about four years, but it was so worth the wait. Now I have to get the right name (the boy name I had for my regular SD just wont work). AAAGGGHHHHH He's even getting another outfit, boots, and heart undies.

    4. :o 3 months??? Yikes. I'm also hoping that it doesn't take that long....but I'm sure the great work on these dolls require extra time.

Congrats!!! I absolutly think that he will be worth every penny!!:D
Now when you get your Tedros I got to see him in the heart undies.

    5. my Chase didn't take very long, but there weren't very many ordered... i bought him on 11-04, and received him on 12-24, so just over a month waiting.

    6. Gothic_hydran126: oh for sure. I have been wanting my boy for the longest time and I think he will do just great. Will have to see how much of my old SD clothes fit if any. I'm so glad I bought the heart/kiss undies. He has to be naked most of the time, with that body. My husband is jealous. LOL

    7. I think it was a couple months to get my Luna. Iplehouse is usually really quick on shipping. Then again, the doll I got before her was from Soom, so yeah. :P

    8. I dont know. My roomie ordered the RS msd girl and it only took a month and a half. ::shrugs::

    9. I hope it doesn't take three months, though after soom, thats a short wait.

    10. I hope so too! He's Realskin, so maybe he'll be one of those month-and-a-half dolls instead.

    11. Hope so. Tho that's enough time to get some clothes and such ready for him. Are they sending random acrylics eyes with him if you chose to get acrylics?

    12. Good question - for acrylics it's usually random, though. I got glass flatbacks in my Pierrot, but round acrylics in my Strongman (and all the other LEs I've ever bought from them). Sometimes good color, sometimes blah color.

I am tickled to death to see they have a cadillac-model eye option, actually! So often you have to just settle for knowing you'll probably receive lesser eyes than the photo. But if I can get those gold Enchanted eyes in the right size with the doll, just by throwing a few more dollars at it-- I'm sold.

    13. Hi everyone, this is my second post here...I've decided to forget about
my other doll plans and try to get Tedros! But I have a few questions
that I hope someone won't mind answering for an Iplehouse newb:sweat
Will Iplehouse accept a different make up request if I say "I'd like different
eyebrows" or do I need to pay for their custom make up service?
Has anyone requested different make up or purchased the service, were
you happy with the results? Will he come with body brushing or do I need
to purchase that option also? Thanks for any help you can give me!

    14. JennyNemesis - I hope I get gold eyes..tho I might buy some dollmore ones for him. Do they take 16mm?

    15. They do, but if you're talking about the acrylic ones they're not so good for photography if you're planning to take pictures of your dolls, especially close ups as the irises are digitally printed so in close up their detail becomes pixelated. If you're going to shell out the money for a good doll then you're better off with decent eyes to match - good glass eyes or Soom silicone, for example. Here's an example of what I mean:-
      [IMG]
You get what you pay for in eyes, and there's a reason why Dollmore acrylics are cheap.

    16. However, all acrylic eyes are NOT created equal! Iplehouse sells those gorgeous Crystal Acrylics, which look & photograph like this. These are "Golden-Peach 03".

I personally think even Iples' regular acrylics (I believe they're Glib brand?) are better than Dollmore's acrylics. Dollmore tends to have cloudy corneas and rough irises. But even so, there's no absolutes - certain colors of DM acrylics look & photograph wonderfully on certain dolls. And, my last pair of regular Iplehouse acrylics (with SE Mars) were absolutely awful, insipid and cloudy. Eye-shopping has lots of trial and error.

Tedros's sales page says 14mms-- I'd start there. His eyes look a little small for 16mms, but they might work, if you like a really young/distant/wide-eyed look. For an older & more threatening look, maybe even 12mms. He doesn't look as wide-eyed as Akando or as narrow-eyed as Luo.

Me, I'm springin' for those Cadillac eyes. :chocoheart Om nom nom pretty eye candies. But if you don't want to get those, I have already experimented on a TON of golden eyes that look good in tan Iple men, from cheap to pricey. Suggested browsing includes, but is not limited to:

      -Ginarolo "Honey"
-Masterpiece "Burning Amber" (you can also get it metalized!)
      -Volks "Goldenrod" (glass line)
      -Volks "Metallic Gold" (acrylic line)
      -Captured in Glass "#E6"
      -EA Gumdrops "Mellow Yellow"
      -Soom "Nightflower"
      -Iple/Crystal Acrylics "Golden-Peach 03"

    17. See..I have a pair of dollmores and never have problems with them, photography wise. I'll show pics when I get home later. Jenny, thanks for the list. I'm gonna look. ;)

    18. he looks very good, i imagine he in a steampunk history, obviuosly he is the big-handsome and good boy.
I have a question, iplehouse have plains to create a normal mold of he (how they was with luna, jessica, etc?)

    19. I do not think that you can request a different, specific part of the LE faceup.
At the bottom of Tedros' page Iplehouse says, "The composition of goods is not changed as per customer's request, and please kindly be notified of this."
It may be possible to pay separately for a custom faceup, but I'm not sure since it it a LE release. The easiest way to find out would probably be to post on their Q&A board about it.
Iplehouse does really beautiful faceups, so I'm sure you will like it! ^_^

I thought I saw somewhere that Iplehouse was no longer doing their full body blushing service...but I can't find it now. ^_^"
I think they had decided that since body blushing can be damaged too easily, they were going to stop that service. You can get hand blushing. And there are options for blushing of the Chimera parts as well, but not full body blushing.

Hope that was a little bit helpful. ^.^"

    20. I asked them about blushing for Tedros and they told me that they are only offering hand/nipple blushing ... asides from chimera parts obviously..
