Iplehouse EID Tedros

Yeah - the sculpt hasn't changed at all. It's an illusion caused by the different faceup. When you look at him in profile, I don't really see an overbite.

It is true that different-colored resins can make the same sculpt look dramatically different, though (in pictures & IRL). Must be the different way the light hits the same features, or something. This effect can really take some getting used to-- or, well, it can take years & years of obsessively staring at Iplehouse dolls, anyway. ^^

 

I like the normal skin Tedros, especially wearing that great black suit!

It's quite a remarkable effect sometimes. Most dramatically, to me, Realskin Kamau vs his original Dark resin - or Normalskin Cocori vs. her original Light or Dark Brown resin. They barely look like the same people! Or those stunning new pictures of Realskin Chase; I barely recognized him as a Chase, he's so different from the way he looks in both White & Shadow resins. Far out, but it can mess with your head. :>

One thing that helps = Spend more time staring at more pictures of him, to get his features really soaked into your brain. I'm absorbing as many home-photos of Tedros as I can, to see what sort of differences I might be preparing for. It also kinda helps whet the appetite of your optic nerves, for the day you FINALLY get to lay eyes upon your own Ringmaster at home!

I am anxiously waiting Tedros I want to at least experience one before I get tempted to order 1/2 a dozen
That said Chase is talking to me I told him "I like having money in my wallet" and he is sweet talking me telling me "Baby you know you want to spend come cash on me"
I am starting to feel faint, light headed from grasping my wallet so tightly pretty soon I'll be handing dollars over to him for a plane ticket.....sigh..

 

Wow, that was a quick release for the normal skin Tedros! People will probably have some before I get mine paid off (wah!!!).

But it will be fun seeing both versions. He really looks different with those faceups... And it'll be cool to see some non-default faceups, too.

 

Yeah, you want to be careful with your wallet around EIDs... they have a way of multiplying in your home, because they're fond of company... and then they bat their big long flappy Bambi eyelashes at you and say things like, "Well, you know I'll need that $150 leather biker outfit too, right?" or "I'd really love you if I had those green Ginarolo eyes"... and it just keeps going from there....

 

hi- do you think that IH might re-release Tedros in RS? I noticed that they did re-release some of the JIDs in rs again for a limited time.

 

I do definetely think they will release Tedros in RS again.............might be next year, but I do think we will see him in RS again. What I'd REALLY like is if they would release him in brown skin. Maybe I need to start bugging Iple now, LOL!

 

Pffft, I bet they do another Realskin release by summer, & include Tedros. The Normalskins are out before we've even got our LEs shipped, and they're sure not letting any moss gather between these Realskin releases lately.

J., I want brown too! ;;^^ Actually I wanted a brown ringmaster. If they didn't do brown for his LE release, though, what are the chances of them trying it later....?

Yeah, I was really kind of disappointed he wasn't in brown for his initial release. At first glance, when they first posted his initial release photos I thought he was going to be in brown resin and I was really excited..................then when I found out it was RS I talked myself out of him to wait on the new girls. Now they release Kamau in brown, and I"m all undecided whether I need another Kamau or not, instead of one of the girls, but oh do I LOVE that brown resin. It's my favorite of their resins.

 

My fave too! The lighting & heavy faceup-shadowing made me think Tedros was going to be brown, too, & I got my hopes all way up. ^^

Not that Realskin isn't gorgeous, but if there WERE a Brown Tedros later, I would be going through that agonizing "should I trade up?" thing, too... That brown Kamau SE #2 is utterly , and he gives me hope that they'll do other Brown SEs later.

 

Brown is pretty but I wouldnt have bought a brown Tedros. I love the RS. ;D I really want my guy to shipppp.

 

Ho my gahd, in normal skin and a business suit he looks like my other dream man. Tanned Tedros is my Latin lover but NS Tedros is my cold, calculating alpha-male businessman. *melts*

I have Circus Master Tedros on layaway and later I'll have him in NS or WS!

 

I have to admit it myself that I first thought that Tedros looked darker in the initial promo pics and was kind of dissapointed (it soon faded tho when I continued to stare at the pretty pics ) when I realised that he was just RS. I do love RS but it would have been nice to have a LE doll that isn't somewhat of a standard colour. Yes I know that the RS dolls are only released for a certain time but ... you know what I mean, right? Don't get me wrong, I love LOVE RS Tedros (have him on layaway ) but I have a feeling that if he is ever released in a darker colour, I will HAVE to get him too

Also, I haven't decided whether it bothers me or not that they release the NC sculpts not long after with the option that you can get the limited make-up. Doesnt that somewhat defeat the purpose of an LE? The other half of me thinks it's a fantastic idea for those who missed out.

 

Bexii, I don't think it does because the Chimera parts are not included with the Basic release or any future RS releases. The outfit is also LE. He still has LE aspects.

 

I agree with you completely there. The outfit was the main reason why I didn't wait for the basic Tedros to be released in RS ... I just had to have it. Like I said, it only half bothers me. It might also be due to the fact that everything seems to have happened very fast with him, which has caused this to stick out in my mind more prominently than the others. I mean, he began shipping before the order period was over and then the basic was released just 14 days after the NC version - speedy or what lol
