Iplehouse EID Tedros

Pfft, no way! The two versions are nowhere NEAR being the same doll. Not even close. I want that Ringmaster and I want that darker resin.

It's normal that the Ringmaster is more expensive than his everyday counterpart. Colored resin always costs more than WS or NS resin.

 

Oh yes, the darker faceup of the Ringmaster really suits the RS resin. That's why I went with the RS Yur even though I could get the faceup in NS or BW. With the more color on her faceup I thought she needed RS. The Ringmaster's faceup I think works the same way.

I am looking forward to seeing Tedros as part of the next RS limited EID guys. I'm sure we'll see him the next time just like they did with Chase on this release.

 

actually the ringmaster tedros by himself(no faceup, clothes,chimera parts) was $727; the NS tedros
(blank, no clothes) is $ 640.
that's a $87 difference; NS tedros is hardly a 1/3 of the ringmaster tedros.

its the same difference in price between the special editions in RS and the open edition NS and WS.

now, with all the other goddies, that's another story......

 

I did some calculations and I think you're right.

Normal-skin Tedros with thigh mobility, faceup (70 usd), wig, eyes (crystal - 11usd), outfit (81 usd for trench coat set), a pair of boots (45 usd) and blushing (15 usd) = 905 usd.

Now it looks like there's a 495 usd difference between my Noctarcana Circus Tedros (which cost me nearly 1400 usd) and the NS Tedros with all the extras.

BUT! If I hadn't bought the stick (45 usd) and the enchantment eyes (also 45 usd) and if I had replaced the 136 usd ringmaster outfit with the 81 usd trench coat set my total would've been something around 1000 usd - and that's for an NC Tedros with faceup, wig and shoes.

So bottomline is that there's really only a 100-dollar difference between a fully clothed, wigged and faceupped NC Tedros and NS Tedros. It was those darned Ringmaster outfit, stick and enchanted eyes that made the difference seem bigger! >_<

I'm very curious to see a NS Tedros posed with a NC/RS Tedros! It seems like the RS Tedros isn't all that tan, but it may look darker in comparison. Does anyone have an RS Tedros with a NS guy?

Of course, right after I posted that, I saw several photos with RS and NS dolls! Typical!!!

Hmmm... so the skin IS darker than NS, but just not as much as some people expected... I guess I'll have to wait and see how I like it. I think it'll be fine for what I want. And now I know more about what to expect!

 

I still love Tedros, but I would get him with facial hair makeup in NS, and the model body. Where is that money tree/ job tree?

I was hoping for some advice on EID man from owners. I’m really on the fence about him. I like the faces that they have come out with, but he looks like a massive doll. I own EID Jessica and am very happy with her size. How much bigger is EID man? Are they really as bulky and big as they look? Any input is much appreciated.

I just received my Tedros in the model body and he is a big guy, but I would say if you already have a Jessica you probably wouldn't mind the size. He is a bit more heavier than her, but I wouldn't say by an enormous amount. I was also hesitant to order an EID man until Tedros, but boy am I hooked. Now I am plotting to order a Kamau if I can gather the funds in time.

 

I've got Jessica and several of the men and I think they are perfect together.....I"m not sure if we are allowed to post pics in this thread, but here's a link to my PT site of Jessica with Gregori (my WS Luo). There are lots of shots of them together so you can judge for yourself how you think they match. The guys are heavier, but they are worth every Lb!! I LOVE them!

Ah, JinCIncy, I remember seeing your Gallery post--that was a gorgeous photoshoot! I so love WS! And the dramatic faceups really enhance them both.

The RS Tedros will be my first flesh-tone that is dark(ish). I usually go for white or pale or colored resins. But I do think it looks very good on Tedros, so I had to have him. It's sort of a kind of olive complexion, without actually being tanned, that suits the whole Rom-ish character (even if he doesn't end up being Romany... lots of folks have darker complexions but are still not tanned).

Can't wait to see him in person... though I'll probably see someone else's boy before my own since I haven't even paid my second installment yet!

Yeek! I just got my Tedros fullset delivered, but there was never any shipping notice! I suspect that my work email's new alias is at fault somehow, because it's been wreaking havoc on important deliveries lately, but in THIS case I'm not complaining! What a pleasant surprise. And what a huge box. My coworker just schlepped him into my cubicle, swearing mightily (Carla is only five-foot-four and the EID box dwarfs her).

If I have time to take him home at lunch, there could be box-opening pictures later; otherwise, it will have to wait. : Dancing!

Since I ordered Tedros near the end of his sales-period, I'm thinking that this means "soon" for the rest of you who're still waiting....
