It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Iplehouse EID Women - Ashanti and Asa

Mar 11, 2010

    1. Bridget I have asked Iplehouse the same thing. I hope if enough persons ask them about a re-release they will do it XD
Too bad she has been released in a very bad timing for me (too many dolls purchased in that time) but I would grab her in a second if they release her again.
I asked too if they are planning to release her in SID version too, in ebony skin. If so, I could purchase her in that way ^^

    2. Ah thanks! I will post a question on the q&a board - I would take her in a second in sid! Its funny how you can do that - I looked at her and looked at her when she was released, nearly pressed the buy button several times, but chickened out and its only after seeing these wonderful owner pics that I am kicking myself.

    3. I agree with you, I feel the same =__= Wish I had clicked that buy button. I really hope they release her in SID version *_*

    4. I asked IH if they will release ebony Ashanti again (besides RS Jessica) and this is their reply:

      [It is high possibility to release RS Special Edition, but it is not clear for Ashanti. ^^;

Even though we will release Ashanti, but our manufacturing work for ebony color is too difficult, and we can expect much lighter LT colored doll might be released.

      Thank you so much.]

    5. I have my aswer about a SID Ashanti

      We don't have any schedule to release SID Ashanti. ^^;

Or, if we will release, the price for her will go up higher than EID Ashanti.
Last time, the price was fixed too low, and our company should have big loss in profit.
It is too difficult to manufacture ebony color. ^^

But, we are now manufacturing JID girl in ebony skin color. (African girl character)

      Thank you so much.

I was quite sure the problem with her was the price, as she was not really so pricey to be a ebony girl and it looks like Iple has high extra costs to manufacture ebony resin.

Well they are manufacturing a JID aftican girl, so the ones who like MSD size dolls should be happy ^^

Sadly MSD dolls are too small for me XยฐD (I need a lot of resin to be happy :P ) so I have to wait and hope Iple will decide to try and make a re-release of Ashanti for an higher price. I suppose the price could anyway be lower than the price I am offering on the market, so I could save some money... :P

      *hope*

    6. Will they ever rerelease Ashanti in ebony again?

I'm really happy to hear about the JID girl. I was just wondering yesterday where I'm going to find a black child for my future black SD female. I hope she's pretty. :D

    7. MicroRNA ask them =) if enough people ask about her, maybe they will. At last she is a special ediction, not a limited one and they re-released every EID special ediction. Let's hope! ;)

    8. My guess is we will see her released in RS and maybe the LT brown resin, like they did with Kamau, during the special ordering periods. I"m not holding my breath for another release of the ebony resin. I think she would be really pretty in the brown resin too though.

    9. Sanding marks? Ulp.... I hope Iplehouse can get you replacement parts RROSS... the rainy season of Korea is upon us and along with it comes major delays *_*

I do feel bad for those who missed out on Ebony skin Ashanti. Iplehouse raised their prices due to the economy right after the initial sales period and it'll probably be impossible to find a secondhand Ashanti at the original price she was sold at.

    10. I asked them too to release Ashanti again, so now I begin to feel a little hopeful: maybe after all the requests they put her up again for sale....

    11. Well, my Ashanti is here, and she is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately the SOOM wig I had for her doesn't fit, and I'll probably just throw my hands up and get an Iple wig later, if I want braids.

I do want to make her a hand-felted dread wig, though, so that's not really too tricky to make with a bag of roving and a handsewn wig cap.

    12. this doll is amazing!!!! her face is so beautiful. and the eyes are just as gorgeous. was your wait very long? i didn't read the whole thread but i am thinking about ordering asa basic soon enough.

    13. Well, I ordered my Ashanti around the 27th of April and just received her today, so I guess it was a reasonably long wait, but if you account for dark resin you can't really say it was long. That kind of a wait is rather expected with dark resin, I guess. (:

      - Mel

    14. :) I told them I had no problem paying a higher price for her. Here's their reply:

Now, it is a little negative about the release of ebony color.
Because of the difficulty of work.

If we will release again, the price should go up for sure. ^^

      Thank you so much.

    15. I'm loving seeing all the Ashantis coming in. She is absolutely stunning! It's a shame that producing dark tanned resins is so much more difficult. I'd love to see her more often in ebony resin. :(

    16. Finally I recieved Abidemi's wig and colorful tiny beads! My Ashanti will be finished soon! :)

About IPLE... I really don't understand them. Well, Ashati was released with a very low price... but why they say they feel uncomfortable casting dark (ebony) dolls? They are releasing an african JID! And I am pretty sure she will be ebony...

    17. Is she likely to be expenseive second hand?

    18. More than likely. Especially considering there are very few that have shown up here on DoA and especially if they do not release her again in that ebony skin color.

    19. I have a feeling second-hand Ashantis will be expensive second-hand, considering that it's likely Iplehouse won't release her in that skin tone again and the price jump happened just after the ordering period ended. People will feel justified with setting her price at higher than what they originally paid.

That's my line of thinking. In the unlikely event that I'd sell my Ashanti I would do this. Others may not.

    20. Is the default faceup included in the standard price or is it extra?
