1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse EID Women - Ashanti and Asa

Mar 11, 2010

    1. Morriscode -- I really like the red coloured hair on her (the auburn wavy one). ;) Ashanti looks great with Mellow!

Callum91 -- Thanks for posting that! Ooooh! Those two look great together!

    2. I feel a little less guilty about ordering my Ashanti blank now. Her face was so stunning, but I just couldn't afford anything at all extra at the time. I feel awful for the faces coming in with the humidity-mangled sealant, though. I have to wonder if this happens more often than we ever realize, and it's just the darker resin that allows it to show up much more readily?

    3. who's the man behind her? tedros in LT brown skin? <.< i could recognize by the nose

    4. Surreality -- I also feel really bad about the faceup clouding problems. You can definitely tell when sealant clouds over on a NS and WS sculpt as well. It's really apparent as well (it tends to be a lot more apparent on tanned dolls though and sometimes the heads look a completely different shade from the bodies)--a few of my dolls have clouded over because I did their faceup and body work when it was wet outside in the Spring. =___=

I think so! Delish! XD They look really gorgeous together!!

    5. Linakauno you know what I have learned with 3 of my bjd's......is that I really wanted them and although I couldn't get them at first...... after a year, 3 years and 4 years I did get them. So one day you will get Mellow

Thanx masala_chai_tea, I realy like it as well, but I have about 60 other wigs and time, so we will see.

    6. If you have tons of wigs, then you're bound to eventually find the right look for her. ;)

    7. Wow. I don't know how I missed these pics...

Your dolls are gorgeous. I love Ashanti in the auburn hair, too. I have got to get that catsuit from Iple.

Update on my Ashanti's face: Iple said to send her back and they will repaint her. they said they'd refund my cost to ship her too. I hate to have to wait for her even more, but I am happy they'll fix her.

I think I am liking this size doll.

    8. divadionne At least you'll be happy with the face up and IH owned up to their mistake.

    9. divadionne -- Good to hear that! That is a far better resolution. ;)

morriscode: Is that wig with variegated colors? It looks cool!

    10. Masala_chai_tea yes it is, thanx

    11. OMG, morriscode, your Ashanti is gorgeous. I really like the vibe she is giving in that wig and suit.

Thanks, masala_chai_tea, I will send her head back to Iple this weekend. i'm going to pack her body back into her box until her head is home again. It is really bittersweet, but I am happy that they were so nice about everything, and once they said they would refund my shipping her head back, I was satisfied.

They said I could not change Benny to blank, but promised to take very good care when doing her face-up.

    12. Very cool and unusual! I love colourful wigs! :D

Awww good!! Sorry to hear that Benny cannot be changed to blank though. :( Hopefully no clouding will occur this time.

    13. D, I am so glad they owned up and covered the cost! I am sorry you have to wait longer for her though.

    14. This is great news. Iplehouse seems to be good about taking care of their customers, so I am really glad to see that this looks like it's (hopefully!) en route to a happy ending, or at least a fix.

I am currently twisting over the 'coming soon' image with Asa. I hope soon isn't too far away!

Maybe they're going to torment us with unforgivable levels of beauty and do a costume drama series next, since it seems like the circus image/concept might be filling up to capacity? (I would starve. Seriously. They'd just own me.)

    15. I really cannot wait for what's in store! They look gorgeous! I hope that it will be a new series.

    16. I have regretted having to put off an Asa thus far, but seeing that one genuinely makes me think that waiting was the right thing for me to do. ;)

I would love to see Iplehouse do a costume drama style series. They would do such an utterly brilliant job of it. So much of 'getting it right' that way is about the clothing, and I haven't seen any of the companies that produces sculpts in the realistic style that does clothing as well as Iplehouse. Their attention to detail is superb, the fabrics they choose are great quality, and their eye for scale is flawless, particularly when it comes to problem pieces like trims and jewelry bits that can totally screw up the sense of scale on an otherwise perfect outfit.

Siiiiiigh. But those two look like classic historical costume drama material, and that makes me beyond happy. Does anyone have a translation of what the characters on the image mean in English? (Unless they also just mean 'coming soon', of course. ;) )

    17. Sometimes you have to wait for the right one! ;) I would absolutely love to see a costume drama series as well. I think Iple has it in them to do an amaaaaaaaaazing job and I would love to see their take on it.

    18. This suspense of this new stuff is just killer! Aggggg! I want to know what they are coming up with. Give me time to sell my house or my kidney or whatever will sell...LOL just kidding....I think I'm going to be poor for the rest of the year though.

    19. surreality : the characters read Tokyo Monogatari, which can be translated as Tokyo Tale. :)

I'm very impatient about this too... even though I'm not sure I can afford a EID now... :|

    20. Ooh... I wonder if we will get a few costume-drama inspired creations then! Oh please oh please oh please, dollygods, please don't keep us in suspense forever!
