Iplehouse Elemental Guardian- Knight of Water Claude SID

I'm in the same boat as Myuuchan; love Claude, got approval from the boyfriend who usually hates my dolls, now I need the funds. xP

 

A lot of folks in the original Elemental Guardians thread asked Iple if the EG sculpts would ever be released as basics or in CDS & Iplehouse has been consistent & firm in saying they won't be, so if you want this guy, I'd get him now.

 

^ Yes this is true. I missed out on the BID's and I asked them if they would be released again as basic or through the CDS and they said NO.

 

Heheh, today went by so slowly at work. Even though I won't have the money for a little while, I kept texting my sister about how wonderful Claude is. I am sure I sound like a schoolgirl every time I talk about him.
I have been arranging a garage sale of the piles of unused junk in my room, and I am amazed. I have, in the past, been far too sentimental to get rid of some of my hoard. Except now this expensive boy comes along, and I am finding it very easy to let go of a lot of it. I just hope people come to my sale. o_o

 

I love how the boyfriends approve of this doll haha. Even men love the knights :3

I wonder why Iple decided to not release the Elemental Guardians as basic/CDS dolls though... seems out of place for them. Were people complaining about them offering the special editions and Noctarcana dolls through the CDS?

 

Well, I can safely say I am seriously trying to figure out how I'm going to get this boy P:

 

the circus ones were special editions mostly because of their outfits and faceups, and back then, also for their skin tones. now even if you can get them in tan, you can't get the special faceups and outfits.
I guess they decided they wanted to have real limited dolls, to be cool like soom (JK, it's probably a marketing tactic actually)

 

talked with the hubby and he agreed, if my MNF sells then it's a sign and I will get him !!!

 

Actually when I ordered my CDS Eva I was able to request and get the NC Eva faceup.

only the outfits were important/limited with the noctara circus dolls

 

I think it ultimately does come down to a business decision for them. I don't doubt at all that more people buy a doll when there's the urgency of knowing that it truly is limited.

Also, they did mention getting grumpy messages from people in the past when they had released a doll as "limited" and then later released it as a basic or CDS doll. There were a couple in specific where this was the case, but I can't recall exactly which sculpts they were, at the moment.

 

I'm really on the fence about this one. He really reminds me of this actor I used to like (especially the mouth), and I just love the armor! But the chin looks really weird to me. Is anyone else bothered by it? It really bothers me in the picture showing the armor. :\

 

Well I got my paycheck today, and it was $100 more than I was expecting. I knew I got a raise last week, but it was way more than I expected. If I'm really careful with my spending, I think I can swing layaway... But I'll only be able to get him, not his outfit or armor. As it is, scraping together enough just for him will be tough. I guess I'll just have to try and make my own version? Hmm...

 

Man, I didn't even tell my boyfriend about this boy. >_> I mentioned that I was selling dolls and possessions to try and scrape together a lot of money, but I'm decently sure he thinks it's because I'm still behind on bills. Which means... eventually I'm going to have to tell him that I'm selling all this for a doll that's going to cost more than a grand. He is going to flip, he thought $650 for my Io was too much. D:

 

starzzz: ah yeah, I can understand that. When I heard about the CDS I thought "Hm, if they have this then what is the point of getting a limited doll? Sometimes their clothes aren't even limited." (I'm looking at you, Special Edition Chase...). Although, as soon as I realized that I could essentially get a Limited edition Chase first hand through the CDS, I sort of forgot about how weird the system was.

Pandy: Hey, maybe you're boyfriend will like him too! It seems that many Boyfriends/Husbands/SO's are a fan of this guy.

 

I must have the best husband ever, or he must secretly want a beefy buddy for his EID Chase, because when I asked if he liked Claude his response was, "Just get him." XD But I do worry that Claude will feel a bit small in the case next to an EID!

 

My boyfriend doesn't like any of my dolls, so I'd doubt I'd get away from telling him without at least a little bit of trouble with him. When I told him how much my Soom boy cost, he told me that he'd deal with it as long as I didn't spend a grand on a doll. Well... >_>

 

Haha, I just told my boyfriend and he told me to never ask him for money or complain about bills again with such an expensive doll. At least this is my last semester. Once I graduate and (hopefully) land a job, I will (hopefully) become the breadwinner of the family.

So guys, lemme stop talking about money for a bit here. What kind of character are you making your pretty little Claude into? My boy is filling the role of a knight that I was initially eying Luo or Kamau for. I'm gonna get his armor blushed gold and maybe eventually fill out his plate with... more plate.
