Iplehouse Elemental Guardian- Knight of Water Claude SID

Jul 27, 2011

    1. So! I just put in my boy's order! *eek!* I feel like a small minority who wasn't really interested in his "knight-ness" fullset. As far as character goes, my guy is the farthest thing from a knight. He'll be the re-shelling of my oldest and best loved male character, Jay Aerily. He's a drifter-type starship mechanic... and he's also the grinning cad in my Avatar pic. :sweat

I have to say that I agree with the idea that, while Iplehouse *may* release some of their elemental guardian series later as a special order type deal, I am getting the vibe from them that they *really* don't have plans to make these guys commonly available. A lot of other company's tend to just skirt around questions about re-releases with very non-commital answers. Iplehouse has been very clearly saying "no". Although... who really knows? I personally wouldn't bank on it, though. Not the fullset.

I wouldn't mind either way. A later basic edition release would make a lot of people happy! :)

    2. I've been waffling on the blushing as well. It looks pretty, but it's nothing really unique or eye-catching.

I would think that adding to the pre-blushed armour would be reasonable. (For people with talent, unlike myself. >>; ) It seems like it would be the same as adding to a pre-existing face-up.

    3. me too. if I do order him I'm not getting the armor. I have -3% interest in it xD;

but GAH I'm so confused right now! this afternoon I decided I wouldn't order him as I wouldn't know what to do with him and because it would not be reasonnable to have 3 naked dolls(I promised myself I would stop buying all the dolls I see and spoil the ones I have instead). but a few hours ago I once again felt like I just NEED him D:

    4. You're not alone - my guy has no use for the knight-gear either :)

EDIT: I got my deposit on my MNF so I can officially say I will be ordering him !!!

    5. It really isn't all that is it? Not for an extra $70 or whatever it is to have a coat of silver on it :/.
I think I'll not get it blushed when I order him and find someone on the board willing to do something a little more unique :).

Also, it's wonderful to see so many people ordering him, I can't wait to join the ranks of the Knights! :D

    6. Yeah, I debated getting the brushing on the armor for a while. I sort of wish you could just get the brushing on the sword, since I think the sword looks a lot better with the paint but the armor looks pretty much the same.

Ranks of knights. Man that just conjured up an image of a room full of Claudes decked out in their armor and stuff. Crazy idea indeed

    7. I agree, I'd like to get it on the sword (which is so awesome) but I don't think Iple will go for that and I'd rather get it done seperately; means I can get him some boots instead xD.

Sounds like a fantastic idea to me! That has to be the name of Claude's database page where they can assemble in all their handsome glory 8D.

    8. Well I just the go-ahead for an $80 commission, so that should help a bit once I get it done! The hardest part is going to be getting the first layaway payment together, it should be smooth sailing after that...

    9. SQUEEEEEEEEE!!! :aheartbea Oh goodness, the moment I get enough for a down payment I'm putting this boy on layaway. This would be my first layaway. D:
I just don't know what I'll do when the first of you guys' boys start arriving. I will be far too excited and I might explode with joy. D:

    10. Once you go layaway you never go back, believe me xD
I think I have a good chunk of his cost from a previous dolly sale but I have a GO that I recently lead that I'm finishing up over the next few days so I'm going to wait until that's all done with and then reward myself with Claude :D. Granted he won't be here until December though xD.

Oh yes, when people's Claudes start arriving I will be all over the arrivals whilst sat on layaway, eeeee so exciting! :D

    11. me too - I know I'll get the money but the MNF I'm selling is on layaway and I'm not sure how long I should wait before I put him on layaway myself ?!? I'm gonna die when I see the first one arrive :D

    12. Man, the reason I never started a layaway before though is because I'm still a student, and my income is very unpredictable. :sweat But yeah, I can see myself using layaway more often when I find me a job. I am really hoping my Claude shows up with my Bernard, they could be shipping buddies. :aheartbea

Poor Ban, it's so hard doing dolly layaways! The money comes in so slowly. D:

    13. It's so much fun listening to people's ideas for their Claudes! I love everything about him, but I just can't get over the jutting chin. :( The face would have been so perfect for someone I have in mind!

An army of Claudes would look reeeeally impressive though!

    14. That... is a beautiful image. *dreamy look* It is also totally what the database thread should be called. Lol! "The Ranks of Knights" or "The Rank of Knighthood". Or something... it's late, and I shouldn't be allowed to type when I'm this tired and this excited. :sweat

    15. Gorsh, I didn't really like Iplehouse dolls till HE came along... I was planning on ordering bodies for two heads I have at home...but looks like they have to wait a little while longer....

    16. So I was thinking of the room of knights, Iplehouse, round tables, and more stuff that I don't really remember. In a nutshell, it all converged into this one idea, aptly named "Knights of the House of Iple" (or "Knights of House Iple," I can't decide what I like better) wherein there is a giant doll castle with a giant round table with Claudes seated all around it. Or better yet, an army of Claudes on white horses in front of the aforementioned castle, ready for battle.

Hmm, I wonder where you can get a white horse for these guys...

Anyways, then my thoughts got somewhat off topic from this thread but I'll just continue. I thought, "Wait, Claude is the knight of water so... are there going to be warriors for all the other elements?!" If there is a Shaolin monk for air I might be in some serious trouble here.

    17. D: I didn't think of that. That is a little alarming, more sweet knight dolls of different elements that I won't be able to afford when they are for sale. I don't think I like that idea at all. WAAAH! I need to freelance more just in case! T^T

I was going to order two bodies for several of my floating heads until he came along. Now, I really only have one floating head that needs a body, so I guess it's good? Good that I am spending this much money? I need to not think about it. :D
Are you guys getting any extra things from Iple with your dollies? I has thinking that I want geta feet for my boy, just in case. I sort of think maybe I should buy him a pair of jeans as well, just to make sure he has an alternate outfit. I am really hoping he will be able to maybe share some of the looser shirts with my other big boys. If not, he can always wear the tiny dog shirts! :XD:

    18. wait, they don't come with normal feet ? I thought the boot-feet were just part of the 'armor' package :/
I will probably get him a pair of boots 'cause I can't make those - otherwise, he's coming nekkid and I'll have to alter my MNF patterns to make him some jeans and a Tee. that's pretty much all my character will wear ...

EDIT: never mind - I see he comes with regular flat feet

    19. @LiviLovelace That's a good point! From the posted story on the site, it looks like the EIDs are called "High Priests" (and there seems to be a fourth coming). So maybe all the SIDs will be knights? That's kind of exciting. ;)

    20. D: That would be awful. There would be tons and tons of knights, and they'd all cost so much and be limited. T^T
