Most of those ice falls are on rock cuts along major highways where one obviously can't stop, but we discovered this one spot years ago which is on a long driveway to a campground and boar launch which are closed in winter. @Sshodan - Thanks. That is the idea. @LyanneNZ - Thank you. Yes, it was a three hour drive each way to get to this location, but I really wanted to take photos there, and it was a nice day's outing. @oriscany - Thank you. Here's another....

MB Lilac, this is completely off-the-scale fabulous! Those waterfall scenes are epic. Your scenes, photographs and storytelling transport me to another dimension!
I also love your creative OOKA characters, too. I've enjoyed them over the years. The dragons, imps and elves......and griffon, too. You and your sister are masters of your craft and I still want a book.
@MB Lilac Your pictures are like a favorite picture book from childhood days, that one book that is your "escape-book". The one you never get tired of looking at because you find a new detail every time.

I was directed here from the iplehouse waiting thread. so I'm not sure if anyone can answer my questions, but I'm waiting to purchase an FID in April. (I may or may not be counting down the days...). It will also be my first doll. I was just wondering if anybody knew the best time to purchase one. I think I read somewhere that sometimes Iplehouse has new FID releases in the middle of the month? and curious if anyone has gotten custom face-ups from Iplehouse and if they were happy with them. I was thinking of asking for SID Eva's face type 2 on grace.
@Maud - They offer the FIDs like every other month...and it seems they sometimes have "sales" or "incentives" in the summer (maybe August?) and again during the holiday season. I'm not sure what schedule they use to offer a new FID....sometimes enough people ask them and they say when the next one will come out. I don't think I've gotten a custom faceup on a FID ...but I have on the larger dolls. And I know other people who have and they seemed very happy at the results. And edited to add: I don't have a Grace with an Iple custom faceup...but I do have a Grace with an artist custom faceup..just so you can see the sculpt with another...type....faceup. Maud, yes, FIDs are released every other month (at least they have been so far), so 1st April should be the next availability. If there is a New character released in FID size, it has often been around the 15th of the month I think? I thought I saw a notice recently that Iplehouse had stopped doing custom faceups altogether, and you could only buy a doll with the Default faceup at present, if you wanted a faceup. That is such a shame if so. I've had mixed feelings about the Iple faceups the past couple of years, all FIDs. 1) My Vanessa had wonky/lopsided lips (Iple said "you have to understand it is very difficult for our artists to work on such a small head"... Urrr? It's their job!!! ), 2) After a couple of months, my Vera FID's faceup started cracking around her eyes (Iple said "sometimes moisture affects the sealant when our artist is spraying it", and I had to fight with them for even a small credit note!). 3) I am now expecting an SID Mari (I hope she gets here soon), and made a tiny request re no freckles for her default makeup (Iple said "our artist won't do this, as it will affect how the doll's overall makeup will look" and wanted to charge me extra ). They used to be so good. I really don't know what's happened to them. So disappointing, and lack of customer service imo EDIT: The notice about suspension of custom makeup is under Support, Notice, item 248, dated 4th Jan this year. Sounds like it might only be temporary while they catch up with orders though?
