I just bought an Iplehouse FID Grace 2nd hand. Aside from the Iplehouse website (I placed an order two days ago and it still says pending payment) what's the best place to order wigs to fit them?
I'm anxious to see your answers regarding wigs. The wig I got from Iplehouse has been a major problem. I found several of the right size at Dollpeddlar and they've been a mixed bag. Some are great and others are not.
This one I got here-- got a couple pukifee sized wigs here that suited my girl well! Unfortunately the seller I bought her other wigs from is no longer on etsy and I don't know if that means they're somewhere else, or out of the game.
Up until recently Monique Wigs were a great option for this size doll ....unfortunately I believe they closed their business but some wigs are still being sold from dealers until their stock is depleted. The 5-6 size fits best and sometimes the 6-7 if they were made small fit (as some of the last styles in the last batches seem to be...or so I've been told.) I find it very hard to find "great" wigs for dolls this size...as the wigs are often too...pouffy. I still think it is difficult (even for the big dolls) to find a great short wig for the guys. But I hope things improve. Eyes used to be a big problem for this size...but now more people seem to be making this smaller size. Sometimes Raccoon Doll and SartoriaJ has what looks like a nice wigs in this size...but I haven't purchased one yet.
I bought a few from Iplehouse and one from SartoriaJ but my iplehouse order still says before payment, even though the money has been taken out of my paypal account, and the one from SartoriaJ won't be here for months. But yeah I noticed most of the wigs for this size are a little poofy as you said. It's a shame!
@light the light - Congratulations on your incoming new dolly. And when I make a payment I always also send them a message under the Support section. I reference the order number and tell them I've made a payment. If you haven't done that...you may want to just to be sure your payment gets tabulated correctly. Also when you go under the My Iple section and click on your order...scroll down and then it should show the payment info. Where is should indicate that the item is paid. That's also a nice place to check when you are splitting your payments on layaway as it will show the dates they are due.
Thank you for the tip! I will try this. The dolly should be arriving on Wednesday and I know I wouldn't have received the wig in time for her arrival anyway, but it would be nice if they at least acknowledged they got the payment.
@luluna have you tried Jusuns wigs? My little Mascat arrived with one, and I have another one from fatiao, I believe. They are very nice, good quality mohair, not too shiny and not too poufy. And they have a nice range of small sizes. I found a shop on Aliexpress and ebay searching for jusuns doll wigs, but I have not ordered from them directly. I anyone has more of that brand and would be able to share more experience, it would be helpful
@luluna If you order from the Aliexpress shop, will you let me know how it went and if you like them?
@ResinRapture - I've nevered ordered from Aliexpress shop before...but if I do...I'll let you know how I like the wigs...if I'm able to get one.
I'm really picky about wigs, but I was able to find a few on Etsy that should be here within a couple of weks. Oh, and I commented on the Support page about my order and they updated it, so that should also be here soon! They shipped it out now, and it's got a wig and a couple of outfits in it.
Does anyone have any recommendations for jointed hands that would fit an FID female? Preferably ones that match Iplehouse's normal skintone?
