Iplehouse Fashion Doll Discussion - Part 12

Hi all, I'm thrilled to be finally able to add to all the loveliness I constantly see in this thread as I got off my butt and took some half decent photos of the girl I adopted from a fellow member. I redid her faceup to give her a softer, more natural look.
Allow me to introduce my Harace girl (no name yet I'm afraid).

Some of you may have already seen phone pictures of her in some Facebook groups.

 

I love her wig, that volume and that colour and the itty bitty flowers. Is that combed out yarn or mohair or something else?

Found a relatively lightish wig for Aine that works well, and helps her look more like Gloria from BD2.



Now to get the rest of the outfit!

 

So beautiful! With those flowers in her hair, she is the embodiment of Spring.

 

I don't know who that character is but the light wug suits her pretty face.

 

Thank you! Since her eyebrows are so dark I've been favoring dark wigs for her, but this one seems to fit pretty well too.

 

For several days I did not go to the site and almost missed so much beauty - a real flower garden!!!!

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry.

I bought, second hand and at a really good price, a set of Iplehouse FID clothes. Most of the set Vanessa is pictured wearing on the website along with some extra shoes.

I swear, the shorts for the doll have better pockets than shorts for actual human women. Both front pockets and both back pockets are not only functional they're really quite deep.

 

That makes me laugh. I love how clothes for dollies are functional. It helps me justify the price.

(If you're into leggings, popfit leggings come with really deep pockets. I have like a dozen of the pairs!)

 

Where do you guys find eyes? I like the size of the stock acrylics, but I need different colors and IH doesn't sell them individually!

I've done a little bit of experimenting and my resinsoul 1/4 jointed hands don't look too oversized on Doria apart from the wrist joint, which is generally quite chunky. So maybe if I shave those down they might actually fit and look good. Now the only question is how close Resinsoul's 'Normal' is to Iplehouse's 'Normal' and whether there's a point in getting a pair in normal if I'm going to have to colour match them anyway.

I just really like jointed hands.
