1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse Fashion Doll Discussion - Part 12

Oct 27, 2016

    1. Does anyone have a FID Bibianne and a JID Violet they'd be so kind to photograph together? With consideration of the different head sizes, I've been wanting to compare the sculpts beside each other for a character.... I'm more used to regular msd scale, so I'm considering violet as an alternative, but bibianne enchanted me originally!

    6. Wow, @LyanneNZ - is that Iplehouse's face-up, or yours? Did you make that sweater? It's gorgeous!
Add sculpt to list of want to buys...

    7. @MaleficentMrsofEvil Sorry for the delay in replying! Yes, this is one I painted :) My Mum knitted the sweater, for my CED dolls years ago now so it's a little large for our FID dolls but it works. Raffine is definitely lovely in person. It's funny, she is not one that I immediately would pick and yet in both small and large size they are ones that I have loved painting and enjoy photographing too. Yes she should be on your wish list haha

Extra photo of her while you write her sculpt name down ;)

    8. @LyanneNZ - oh my. She is going on my WTB list. She is so stunning. I love her. Thank you!

    9. To anyone who ordered and received FIDs in the last few months, is the 60 to 90-making period how long you waited for your doll? Or is it longer than that?

      • x 1
    10. @PinkBear - not FIDs, but I have ordered from Iplehouse pretty frequently.
Pet doll puma, blank - 60 days.
Doll Choice normal resin Elle, blank - 60 days.

My experience has been that if I order blank dolls, Iplehouse has a quick turnaround. Face-ups delay the process significantly.

I can't remember if Iplehouse told me directly, but I've read in a couple places that their in-house face-up artist left, and they have to contract out face-ups now, which means they have to ship the head to someone else to get the face-up done.

    11. @MaleficentMrsofEvil Thank you so much for answering my question and for that info on the faceups. This was so helpful!

    12. Rania has been released in FID size, she is stunning! Are the FID's included in the summer sale?

      • x 2
    13. Oh no, that's terrible news. For my bank account that is.

Rania was the one sculpt I always adored but she was both too big and also sold out when I got into this hobby. In fact, it was in this thread that I said if they came out with an FID Rania I would buy it.

I really really hope they are included in the summer sale now.

    14. Ooh that will be tempting if the FIDs are marked down for the summer sale! I wasn't intending to get one anytime soon, but I do want another boy on the muscle body (so I have all the boy sizes to sew for!), so if the boys are marked down I might reconsider!

    15. I love Rania 's outfit and I'm so excited that's it's available separately! I hope there is a male counterpart released to go with it. I'm wondering if I should wait for a male version or if I should order soon in case it's only a limited quantity or something....

    16. Seeing Rania get an FID version made me wonder if Scarlet (my Doria's character's big version) will get mini-fied eventually. Not holding out on much hope for that though, since she's prolly not the most in-demand sculpt around.

But speaking of my Doria, she finally got her first decent photoshoot. We powered through bad weather in one of our local historical sites, but the camera was really kind to her!

    17. She's so beautiful!!! I love her wig so much - such a fierce girl!!!

In other news - the FID aren't included in the sale.
Ugh, it feels unfair - and they're never included in the free head specials they've had for all the other sizes, either! I guess they count them in the "special" dolls category, like the Creea. It just feels unfair as they're really popular and available all the time now, why can't they be counted as a "basic" doll?
