Iplehouse PID Discussion V. 01

Thanks to all of you who kept their fingers crossed - picked her up at customs this morning! Good old reliable customs - whenever I see on the tracking site that one of my parcels has arrived there, I know I'll have my notification in my mailbox the next day (provided my parcel arrived some time during the morning).

Here's a pic of Natalia (PID full-set Dorothy in NS). Taken with a crappy camera, in crappy lighting - she looks much, much better, especially the face-up.



Also, turns out I needn't have worried about not liking her in NS. She's perfect.

Due to the S-hooks being embedded in the hands and feet, he's not as poseable in the wrists and ankles as I'm used to from my other dolls but that doesn't matter since I'm not all THAT huge on posing and not into doing photo stories, either. She also seems to be standing much better on her heel-feet than her flat feet but that's just fine since those tiny black booties are perfect for that black leather outfit anyways. I'll have to do something about the outfit's fastening (in the back). The "button" (a tiny black bead) won't stay closed. I'll just sew a hook on it, shouldn't be any problem. Also, it was kinda tricky to get her into it. I don't think I'll ever undress her again! But all in all, she's perfect! (And I do love that little sleeping bag she came in - grey with pink hearts.)

 

congrats on all the new arrivals! It's nice to see more of the sculpts in the different colour resins. Val I hope the 20th comes around quickly. At least shipping time shouldn't be too painful for you - although no matter how short it always seems to take forever.

khell Glad that your dorothy finally escaped customs. They might not be as poseable but the sheer prettiness of those hands and feet make up for it - so delicate! She's much easier to stand and pose in the flat feet when she has shoes on (or at least my Twinky is)

Sad news for my still nameless twinky - my chibis arrived back from the faceup artist and one is definitely keeping the mohair wig that I'd been thinking of for Twinky. I do really like the short charcoal wig on her so she may keep that.

 

honeythorpe - Thanks! Hm, maybe those PIDs just don't like being barefoot? I'll probably order Natalia new eyes, though the acrylics she came with are rather pretty, actually. If I ever can bring myself to change them, I'll try the green Kanis eyes that I got here. They might not fit, though, they're a bit on the small side. And also, the iris might be too small ...

Congratulations Khell! Natalia is soo pretty!! Do her lips match that little swatch of color above her eyes?

Pippa doesn't have any shoes yet either but she does stand pretty well with out them too. Maybe the little imp will never wear shoes! LOL

My Twinky arrived Monday. I love her! I wish I had ordered Blooming too. Oh well...
Iple gave my Twinky two different eyes. I'll change them one of these days... maybe.

 

eeps Sunshinejade Your Twinky is too cute and I kind of like the odd eyes. Maybe you'll have to call her Bowie I kind of regret not ordering that full set outfit - the dress suits her sweet features so well.

 

Actually the odd eyes are really cute.

 

*squeeeeee* Khell - I LOVE Her. I was so worried I made a mistake not ordering the dark skin, but your photo has just put my mind at rest ^_^*. Can't wait to see more photos of her

 

Rest assured: She's GREAT in NS! It goes along so well with the wig-colour. I tried my Monique Panda wig on her - it's a bit large, being 6/7 inches but, darn, does it look great with that outfit and skin-colour! I kinda went "ok, that looks kinda like Elvira, Mistress of the Dark ..."

kadepie - the colour around her eyes matches the lip-colour fine. I don't know if it's the exact same shade, would have to take a closer look.

 

Congratulations! She looks adorable. I love the jewelry that comes with that fullset outfit and she looks like she's standing like a champ in her high heeled feet.

I know most of us are wishing we had ordered two! I can't wait for the new molds to be released.

LOL you've gotta put up a pic of her with the panda wig now!

 

Heh, maybe I'll get to taking better pics this weekend, in better light. If the weather stays good, I can take pics outside on my balcony. Might wait, though, until my Monique order arrives here, just to see what Natalia looks like with carrot-red hair.

 

I procrastinated on ordering for too long and missed the order date and now I see all your lovely photos, I'm rather gutted! I hope they do a another release before the end of the year.

 

smudge When I messaged and thanked them for my Twinky they said they'd do one during summer so it might only be a month or so away if they stick to that. I'm really curious to see what sculpts they do this time. I was really on the fence about it too and ordered my Twinky at the last moment. I know I would have regretted not ordering as they're way cuter than I expected. I really hope you can get one next go round

 

I keep checking the website every day for teasers or something. I really want another PID.

 

No new pics of Natalia, yet, but I did put her in different clothes. Monster High tops barely fit her (it's a really close fit) and the pants in that set are quite a bit too long but all in all, it's not a bad fit. I'll be trying some shorter Pullip dresses next. Too bad she's got such a definite like for black leather things ... Hard to find in that size ...

 

I had the same issue with Monster High. The ones I had (non dresses) were difficult to fasten in the back. I'm going to experiment with some middie Blythe stuff and see if that works.

Thanks Honeythorpe, I hope they do make a summer release. Do you think they are more likely to do different moulds? It's a shame that they are not a permanent line.

Kadepie, is your Twinky RS or peach? She's such a cutie.

 

She is realskin. Thank you! I hope you can get a pixxie on the next release. They are really very cute in person and so far pretty addicting!

 

Hmmm...if I were to guess, I think they might be planning to release some PIDs After Aug 15 (when Vincent is sold out) or After July 28 (after YID Bianca is sold out). I'm really hoping for a few more sculpts because I'm totally sold on the size, I just need to find the sculpt that "calls to me" if you know what I mean.
