1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse PID Discussion V. 01

Apr 15, 2013

    1. Here is another picture of Blooming. She still doesn't have a name -_- I started doing her faceup, and then ran out of sealant, so it got all blotchy and dirty. I am going to try to redo it tomorrow.

    2. hurry up Iplehouse - I want to see the new dollies! LOL

    3. I'm waiting with baited breath!!!

    4. Wow! It is very cute dolls. I want it )))):aheartbea

    5. I love Ryu-Ah again! LOL Twinky looks adorable with freckles but I am pretty sure Ryu-Ah will be my first order.

    6. Hehe - kadepie - I love Dorothy again and if I could afford two I'd totally get her - but my heart melts when I look at Twinkie and her little spattering of freckles

    7. Eepp! I love Twinky and one of the other girls! I can't wait to order.

    8. I'm disappointed. I thought Iple would release new molds, not the very same dolls with new face-up. I just read what they said afterwards, about the full-sets being limited, not the molds : that's not what they first said. They said these dolls wouldn't be like their other dolls, that they would not release them again afterwards. And then they said that it was just for the full-set : now I'm wondering what's different from their other dolls then...
I quickly bought my Dorothy when she was released because I didn't want to miss the chance to get one, when I could have used the money for another project. Now I feel like I've been tricked into buying, and buying fast, and I'm a bit sad about that.

    9. ^ That's what I originally thought too. But when I saw the pics this morning I went back to the original release set of pictures on Flickr and found this comment from Iplehouse

      http://www.flickr.com/photos/iplehouse_doll/8695586644/in/photostream/

"Sorry to cause confusion. These partifular full set is limited. We will release these characters again with different make up and limited outfit. But we won't release them again in this particular full set. We will also release different type head in PID line too."

So they actually seem to have stated they intended to re-release these molds along with different ones. I am glad to see these faces again because I was really bummed to not have been able to order Ryu-Ah the first time around.

    10. from what I understand from a friend, molds are incredibly expensive to make, so they need to make the most of the investment they've made :)

I love this release - I think I'm doomed for future releases too - maybe I'll end up with a little army of Pixxies ;)

    11. I like this round of face-ups much more than the debut set -- and those stripey socks look like they are for Rhu-Ah! -- which makes me happy.

Anyone have a Person and a Pixxie they might pose together for comparison spam? I'm wondering if they could share clothes and shoes too...

    12. I don't have anything smaller than a Pixxie right now, but when I had my Tiny Delfs I used all of their Lati Yellow sized clothes to try on my Pixxie. The shoes I had didn't work all that well because the Pixxie feet are longer and skinnier than a TD/LY or Pukifee. Leggings for LY or pukifee are capri length on a Pixxie. Some shirts fit very well and others fit loose. Sleeve length can be an issue too because the Pixxie arms are a bit longer.

I think Oliveoil posted a pic of her Twinky with some other dolls in this thread.

ETA: It looks like the photo I was thinking of was deleted. I am finding that middie Blythe stuff fits her better than most Lati Yellow sized items.

    13. Yep, I went back to look at her photo too and it had been deleted... darn. I remember she had a Person in there which had changed my mind about PIDs fitting in my current family. 20 cm is my favorite size for Tinies even though clothing and shoes can be tricky. I have Lati Yellow SPs, a Person and a Cherishdoll Faith so a fair bit of stuff lying around to choose from size-wise, and some Lati Yellow/Pukifee stuff that, yes, does tend to kinda work, though short. I, too, have found Middie Blythe to be an option clothing-wise. I guess what I'm really wondering is if the pear shaped Pixxie is too hippy to share more than dresses with scrawny People....

    14. I haven't been able to see the new ones yet - I fear that I'm going to be a bit sad - I really wanted my Twinky to have freckles like Siddal my KID which it sounds as if the new twinky does and I just can't add a second one to my crew at the moment

I can take a picture of Drusilla (person21) and my twinky together for you in the next day or so. My two share a couple of Petworks Nikki and Odeco dresses and also share some sweaters that belong to my pocket fairy sugars. The pixxies are definitely hippier than persons, which makes leggings for them so much easier. Here's a comparison with some other 20cm-ish dolls including a lati yellow SP for you. The Pixxies are very narrow across the shoulders which I think is the most challenging part of dressing them as lots of dresses that fit them otherwise look a bit gapey across the shoulders

My Usaggie in the pic below has almost the same body as Nikki/Odeco (they have a slightly more 'mature' chest) so you can see why their dresses cross over well.

    15. Oh if you please! I'd love to see their Tiny big heads together :)

The comparison pic is brilliant and extremely helpful. Thank you so much, honeythorpe. I see what you mean about narrow shoulders, and she's so shapely! A little lady indeed.

    16. The middie Blythe outfit I just got is a dress with leggings. The leggings went up over hips and fit ok, they are just a touch too long. Pippa's wearing the middie Blythe dress and leggings in this photo. You can see how they're a little scrunched up. I haven't tried any other MB bottoms yet.

    17. She's lovely -- is she in peach gold? The outfit looks like it fits really well in the shoulders and body and just a little scrunch for the leggings, not bad at all. Thanks for the info.

    18. Here is another size comparison if anyone is interested. I've got my Tiny Delf, my PID, and my BID. As you can see, the TDF and PID have similar measurements, other than length. A PID dress I bought fits beautifully on the TDF, so I think TDF dresses would also fit the PID (other than maybe being a bit short). I also have generic "tiny" size shoes that fit both my TDF and my PID.

Also, TDF/PID head swap isn't too shabby. There is some limited head mobility, though some of it could probably be fixed with sueding. The PID is a little pinker than the TDF, though I don't know how much my TDF has yellowed in the months I have had her.
