Iplehouse PID Discussion V. 01

What wigs are you all finding that fit your girls? I ordered a PID wig, but my BID is wearing it and I don't want them having the same wig. My TDF's wig is too small, and I think that is size 5-6. However, some spare Leeke 6-7 wigs I have lying around just look too overwhelming, as does the BID wig, though they do technically "fit". I'd love some suggestions.

Welcome! I think it's an intriguing idea, too I bet the PID heads would look cute on the TDF20 bodies too, though I don't have one to try out.

Thanks! She is real skin. I was tempted to try peach gold but I really want to see it in person before I order it.

Pippa is actually wearing the Luts mohair wig shown on TDF Hansel in their tiny wig section. It slides a bit but it stays on without the use of a headcap or anything. I ordered an Iplehouse wig this time around though for Ryu-Ah. At least I think it will be for her, Dorothy may steal it. LOL

Thank you! I love Pippa to bits and am so glad I ordered on the first release. And thanks for the heads up on the open ordering! I just put Ryu-Ah AND Dorothy on layaway. I was hoping to be able to order those new outfits now so Pippa could wear them but Iple hasn't added them to the clothing section. I wonder if they will or if these outfits are limited too?

Hey Kadepie - I was just on there too - when you order the doll there is the outfit options - and you can choose ALL of them I do find it weird though that there are no wig options... *insert confused face*

Yeah I saw that. I ordered the Black Lizzy outfit and the Pink Tutu as part of the layaway. I was hoping to just order them outright now and have them ship before the dolls did.

I ordered Ryu-Ah in real skin and Dorothy in light brown. I didn't want to miss out in case Iple decides to really make the molds limited or stop producing due to lack of interest. I hope there are more orders this time around and they continue to bring out new stuff for the Pixxie line.

 

Ahhhh - my mistake. If I read the communication from IH so far correctly, each time they put up a new release the characters (inc outfits) will be limited.... OOOO another light brown Dorothy! Can't wait I'm ordering Twinkie this time - in peach gold skin - your girl is real skin hey?

 

Yeppers, Pippa is real skin. I hope someone orders the face up with freckles. (hint, hint! LOL )

I think I might post and ask Iple if they are going to do any more regular clothing releases for the PIDs.

Yay!!! If I buy another one I'm definitely going peach gold skin, but can't walk past a dark skin!!! Wish they did ebony.

PS: I noticed in the extra shoe parts they offered the shoes in ebony - did any of the dolls have this skin tone as an option? I swear I looked but couldn't see one.

 

I had to go to the wigs page separately and add the one I wanted to my order.

That was odd because they didn't offer ebony skin as an option during the initial release.

I just placed my PID on Layaway with Iplehouse, do I have to let them know that I just sent them the first payment on their Q&A board? I have never done a layaway with them before.

 

I always leave a message on the Q&A with the order number included.

 

Zardi My Twinky wears a crobi-doll wig in 6/7 and it fits her great. I tend to find most of the Leeke wigs overwhelming on lots of my dolls - for some reason they make the bangs really thick and long so for dolls with 6/7 size heads but shorter foreheads they completely overwhelm the face. The one doll I have that they look great on is my secret person because that giant egg-head forehead is just the right height for the bangs!

valee-anne ooooh you will love twinky in PG with freckles. That's what Siddal (my KID) is and it's the most gorgeous combination.

 

Cool that's what I did as well, I hope to have her paid off next month! She will be my first and last........yeah we all heard that one before

My Twinky finally has a name...actually it's the name I had intended for her all along - I wasn't sure if it suited her when she arrived but I can't think of another name for her so Audrey it is!

They are both beautiful girls -- so very different, yet I think they can co-exist peacefully (with perhaps, a bribe or two).
Did you knit Audrey's sweater? It suits her nicely.
