Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     8. This is an interesting thought. The original (big-headed) Pixxies were available only three times, for 30 days each time (in May, August, and December). There were lots of orders of them both times, according to the Iplehouse waiting rooms. And like Zardi said, there are no orders of these new small-headed Pixxies on the current waiting room list -- although at least a few people have indeed ordered them, based on the conversation in this thread.

      Agreed, totally. It would have been more advantageous of Iplehouse to release them even just one or two months later.

      Added to the poor timing, I think this release of Pixxies has several other factors that might make it less popular than the original Pixxies. For one, both Ariel and Pylia are fairies, and not everyone is into the fairy aesthetic. Second, the two new sculpts are so similar to each other as to be almost indistinguishable -- I can barely see any differences at all when I look at the blank sculpt photos! (The original Pixxies, as we all know and love, had four extremely different sculpts -- a little something for everyone.) Third, and I don't think anyone yet knows the answer to this for sure, but the new Pixxies might come with holes in their back by default to attach their wings, whether you buy the wings or not.

      So if you don't like the Ariel/Pylia sculpt, if you don't like fairies, if you don't want holes in their back, and/or if you spent all your doll money in December on the bevvy of winter events, you're basically SOL on this release of Pixxies.

    9. coming back on this thread since i noticed ariel and pylia (luckily just before they sold out, i've been really busy this past month with other things) the big head dolls were cute, but didn't fit in with my crew, but i'm thinking ariel might. i'm just not sure i like the wings from iplehouse. does anyone know if she would come without the magnet holes if i don't order the wings? (or if there is an optional torso part like there was for the addiction series to put on when the doll is wingless?)

    10. I actually like the original big headed PIDs better than the new versions. The face ups on the two newer ones don't seem as clean and there's no mold variety.

      I think part of the problem with this line is lack of clothing options.

      I would have ordered this time around if they had done a male version in the big head type.

      auntbear, I don't think anyone knows for sure about the magnet holes in their backs. You may want to contact Iplehouse and see what they say. I'm sure a few people here would be grateful to know the answer as well!

    20. I definitely fall into the camp of fairies do nothing for me. I felt the big heads had a lot more character to them.

      As far as clothing goes, if you don't mind dipping into playline dolls, the older Bratz tops will fit the Pixxie body.
