1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Iplehouse SID boy - Lee

May 26, 2010

    1. The thread looks like it's been sleeping a little bit! I thought I'd drop by to share that I've finally saved up enough (more than enough?...) for my Lee! I've been thinking about him for a year until a month-ish ago that I decided I'd start saving up for him. He's my grail doll so I'm excited for his arrival! I'm just wondering when I should order him, though, since there might be a chance of a postal strike hmm...

      @silverholly:
Hey! I don't have my Lee yet so I can't answer your question... (I have some pictures that someone sent me with B faceup with NS but that's still not a direct answer for real life, haha!) I would like to know, too since I absolutely love the B type faceup! (It'd suit the character my Lee is going to be made after as well).

    2. Congrat Itsuka! When you get your Lee, I hope he is everything you want him to be! He's such an adorable sculpt.

    3. Thank you! I do hope that he'll be what I want him to be when he arrives.
When I was looking for a sculpt for my character, Lee hit it dead on (the even more scary thing was that he was wearing the look I was exactly looking for: hair/eyes/etc. Type B for his promo pictures).
I hope to share my pics in the future!

I spent my afternoon looking through all your guys' Lees and oh~
      So excited! C : Everyone's Lee's look absolutely fantastic~

    4. Congrats, Itsuka! Yes, Niborian was very helpful and sent me some clear shots of her handsome boy. I'm trying to decide if I like him in NS or RS best. He's a lovely doll in both, and I hope to get him someday. My dolls need a guardian and Adia (Benny) needs a break!

    5. Thanks!
I hope you decide which tone you'd like your Lee in~
I agree, he does look good in both! He looks amazing in RS but it won't fit his character (is okay, I like NS, too).
Do you have a character in mind for your Lee already? (Aside from the rock star theme going on---rock star was it?)

      ----

Does anyone else know any shoes that fit Lee/SID guys that aren't from IH?
Trying to decide if I should get shoes at the same time when I get hi

    6. Nah, nothing much beyond that initial impression. I don't have characters to make into dolls, but my dolls can sometimes get a character once I have them. I just think Lee's the nicest SID boy I've seen. :sweat He might end up being a rural elementary teacher by day and a visual kei rocker by night. Taking care of all my little kid dolls isn't cheap!

    7. I've had good luck with Luts Super Senior Delf shoes and a couple of the pair of Dollmore Model shoes I've tried on my boy. I keep buying them hoping something fits my even bigger boys (EID) but so far, Lee ends up with all the larger shoes I try for them. He's got quite a shoe wardrobe now, although he does still need to share some of them with my SSDFs and DM guys.

I've also had luck with the largest size converse-style sneakers Sunny's Wonderful World on Ebay sells, as well as a couple of other Ebay purchases in the large 70cm size range. Many merchants provide inside shoe measurements in their listings, which can be very helpful. Often they refer to the biggest sizes as "uncle" sized.

    8. sillverholly: Lee definitely has a lot of character I think! I hope he becomes something that can fit into your family well! That sounds like an interesting twist (the teacher and then VK rocker by night. I hope to see pictures of him in the future, whenever that may be!) ^-^ My Lee's just a singer, who's the popular kid and actually a jerk but is vice versa (kind of) once you're a friend/something more to him.

Jill in WV: Thank you so much! I'll be checking out some stuff from them now (and taking those other "tips" for finding shoes as well).

    9. I'm a little slow but I *finally* ended up bringing Lee home. :D

    10. Congrats, he's quite handsome!

    11. Yeah another Lee! He is handsome for sure!

    12. Thanks Calli and luluna! I hope to get his body sent off for blushing and a tat soon as well as get him a better wig in the right color, but I am really really glad he's here at last.

    13. kadepie - congrats on your boy's arrival. Always good to see more Lee's find homes with appreciative guardians!

I discovered something interesting today. Rikiya's looks aged by several years with a simple eye and wig change...

HUGE difference, in my opinion. :aeyepop: Even his expression changed - he doesn't seem as smile-y in the second picture. He looks like a totally different guy!

    14. Thank you! :) Wow what a change! He does look completely different. Are you going to go back to his old look or keep the new one?

    15. I love how versatile he is! Even with the same outfit he almost looks like a totally different doll. Man, I love Lees. XD

    16. I am going to give him back his brown color but in a smaller size, so he still looks a bit older. Here is what I am contemplating (I have to get a new pair though; I stole these from one of my Carina's and she wants them back) They are Carmel Eyecos in 11mm...

I couldn't get over the change. I mean, I realize that smaller eyes can often make a face look older, but you're right - he's like another doll entirely. I also tried 13mm Eyeco Smokey (grey) eyes in him and loved them as well...

And I totally share the LeeLove with you!

    17. Jill - he's so handsome! I like both sets of eyes. I have 12mm in my boy but I've wondered if he could wear 10mm. This has just made me think I really should take some pictures of my Lee, he's been so neglected recently. He has a serious lack of clothes. He has his Avatar outfit, a pair of jeans, sweatpants and a tank top and that is it! Poor guy!

    18. I still can't believe how different he looks not only with different eyes...but different size.

    19. Wow! He looks great with those smaller eyes. I really like the gray ones. :)

    20. I adore eyeco eyes. I'd recently gotten a pair for my ordered Saint (someday, Dollshe. someday!) But Robin, my Lee, totally stole them. Fortunately, I'll have plenty of time to replace them, since Robin's not giving them up for beans. XD
