Iplehouse SID boy - Lee

May 26, 2010

    1. Jill..."But it's nice to have that to look at rather than the scowl so many others of mine seem to have on their faces..."

I do love a pouty guy and have several...and that's what I originally liked about Lee...he's different. I think he will become buds with my Gentle Akando, who also has that look of he is up to something....or just that Mona Lisa smile.

Thanks for looking at my EID/SID post! My EID Akando...did pose extra special that day. He is sueded though, and that must also be helping. I like to think he is just competitive.:)

    2. Jill, you have to love a guy that looks like he is having so much fun! And I see Luluna feels the same about her gentle Akando and Lee . . have to agree. . . They look like there isn't much they couldn't dream up!

Luluna .. love your photos of the guys.. so good looking and the lighting is great, too! All of the Lees here are just so good looking! :)

    3. Thanks so much Sherry! Iple guys are so much fun to photograph. :)

    4. I <3 <3 <3 his hair color & how his eyes match so well.

    5. He looks gorgeous! He works that brown hair very well, which makes me glad. My future Lee will be sporting a brown wig as well. :D

    6. Thanks so much!

Yes, thanks...he does look matched with brown hair. Nice to know there will be more Lees out there soon.

    7. If anyone is interested, I just posted a little demonstration photoshoot in the gallery - SID Lee wearing EID fist hands. I was really excited to find out that they fit AND look great!

There is the slightest bit of resin color difference (the hands are a little lighter, but it's barely noticeable.) The realskin hands were cast nearly a year ago and Lee's body, of course, was just made this past summer. It's not enough difference to bother me, and I'm really happy to have hand options now!

    8. Your Lees are so amazing! Next month I'll order one, but wanted to compliment and congratulate the Lee owners so far (I've been drooling over these pictures the past half hour or so... ) :D

    9. Just out of curiousity, I'm eyeing the Lee SID sculpt and was wondering how difficult it is to find clothes for him. I know that my Ringdoll boy's clothes would no means fit, and I just kinda want a forwarning. It's going to take me a while to save up for him though. Any info on that would be great. He is a beautiful sculpt, and the smile is so mischievious, as if he's keeping a secret and you have to try to lure it out of him.

    10. Well, this is just my experience, so maybe others have some additional information for you. Lee is pretty difficult to fit, unless it's Iplehouse and made for him, or the style is large and stretchy. I can get him into just about every Hound-sized shirt I have (and a few SD13 sized things, too) as long as it's a stretchy style, such as a knit tee shirt or tank or sweater. His shoulders and upper chest are really broad, which makes more closely tailored things fit poorly across them. Pants are an even bigger problem, since there isn't usually a lot of stretch built in to jeans and dress slacks, and you can't leave them open if they aren't quite big enough, like you can with a shirt. :) I did have one pair each of board shorts and flannel sleep pants that were made for my Hounds that ended up fitting Lee, but nothing else would.

Shoes, too, can be difficult. Although his foot is not as long as the EID Iple boys, it is pretty wide, which means it doesn't fit a lot of the longer shoes out there. I have gotten him into Super Senior Delf shoes and a couple of Ebay-purchased pair that fit my Unidoll boy, who also has really big feet. Dollmore Model boy shoes are iffy, as they are pretty narrow even while they are long enough.

I had to make an Iplehouse purchase after I got Lee, just to get him clothed decently, and their stuff isn't cheap. I don't regret it though; I only wish they had more styles available. I suppose once the SID size catches on more widely, they will.

I still love my Lee, even though he is a difficult one to fit. His face really appeals to me with that secretive smile. :)

Above, Lee is wearing Iplehouse SID jeans and a sweater I got at a doll show, supposedly Hound-sized.

    11. Jill: I love your Lee! He is just gorgeous!!! and that sweater looks real cozy. Yummy...

    12. Jill, I think you should know I've swooned at about every Lee picture you've posted. XD I love that sweater on him, it is gorgeous.

Baring misfortune, I can finally order him next month, and this is good info to know about the clothes! So thank you for pretty pictures and head's up on clothing!

    13. Good luck Elliedra on getting a Lee! I love mine. :aheartbea

    14. Thank you luluna! Ah, that picture is gorgeous! :drool *nosebleed* *thud* :love Thank you for sharing these, they just get me more excited for my first (and long overdue) Iplehouse purchase!

    15. Thanks Elliedra! I think Lee is underappreciated so I like to spread the news of how cool he is...or just call me an enabler. LOL.

    16. Jill in WV and luluna: Both of your Lee's are gorgeous! He is one awesome guy!

    17. Thanks Casta! I just love his smirk.

    18. Thanks - I was super-pleased at how well it fit - as if it was made just for him!

Let me help you up, there...... :) And thanks - I love the guy, too. What a face he's got.

He really is. I have to agree with Luluna - so far he is WAY underappreciated, but he's truly wonderfual and I'd love to see more people order him and see that for themselves!

    19. Thank you so much Jill for that information. It gives me an idea of what to expect when I start saving up for him. I guess I'll have to figure out how to sew doll clothes. :: laughs :: I can sew people clothes with a pattern, but not doll ones. Again, thank you for the information.

    20. Oh, more Lee love! Jill and luluna...gorgeous boys. I need to post some pictures of my boy. He's had sort of a transformation since I first got him. But yeah, totally underappreciated for such a handsome and happy boy!
