Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     1. Really? They don't accept custom face up? But why...? O_O I asked them a while back for a custom face up for my Mars, too, and they said they could do it, I just have to buy the custom face up option. But I didn't have the extra money for that so I just ordered the default face up... T.T I didn't like the colour of the lips, and the eyeshadow~ I love how Ryushin looks! T.T I want that face up on my Iori... But I guess I can't now... >.<'' Are they being bombarded with orders?? >.> This has never happens before, right? *sigh* I want him to be here on my birthday... T.T;;

    2. They have a notice up on the front page that they aren't doing custom face up and body blushing right now due to the Christmas event and such. If you go and look at the Face Up/Body Blush section, every option is listed as 'Sold Out'.

      I'm having a look around at face up artists because I'm now considering ordering my Mars blank. The eyebrows on the default are just too feminine to me... they look like -MY- eyebrows. x_x; I wonder if they'd pay heed to a request for bushier eyebrows? Everything else is perfect about it except for that. I want some man brows for my boy. ;~;

    3. They won't. I asked them if they could make the lips more brown (right now it's red... >.<) then they replied me saying that they could not do every "little thing" the customer wants... T.T I have to accept the default, or buy the Custom option... T.T They have to learn from DOD. DOD will do a custom face up for every doll~ with no extra time or cost.

    4. Hmph. Looks like it might be a blank Mars for me then. I'm wanting to get my Tatiana redone anyway, so maybe I could find a faceup artist that I like that could do both of them, and send them off together. ^^

      ETA: Good thing I'm taking a little bit of time to think about it before I order... Maybe its just the wig they have on Mars that is putting me off further... perhaps I can make him look a bit more boyish with a fur wig like my Ryan's? I'm so indecisive. :horror:

    5. I agree... Mars is a feminine sculpt... O_O But he fits the character I have for him... a male geisha. XD Hahaha... Oh well... But I need to find him fur hairs, that's for sure! And for both my twins, too! T.T Once I forget buying dolls and start buying things for them instead... (_ _)~~~~~~~~

    6. Quirked: It's fairly easy to make thin eyebrows bushier. :) Just some pencil strokes over the top of Iple's faceup. Ask around, I would think almost any faceup artist wouldn't mind doing a "touch up" job for less. :)

      Just... thinking out loud here... :sweat

      fransyung: Good luck with that! My boys are getting raggedy looking because I can't stop getting the new dolls instead of new clothes! :lol:

    7. Thanks for the tip, Aernath! I think I might go for the default then, and just send him off sometime later to be touched up; and I'll see if I can find someone that can do both him and my Tatiana, since that's all I really want on her is a touch up (darker brows, lighter lips). ^^

      I will be ordering my Mars either tomorrow or the next day. :D

    10. Mars is definitely a good choice X3. He's going to be the next doll I get from them ^_^ (After I get my Koji that is lol)

      Also, I've posted this in other threads but, My Harin has shipped! She'll be here Saturday ^_^. I'm so happy she didn't get caught in the "faceups have to wait" line and get her shipment date pushed behind the non face ups.

    15. Shame about the no-custom-makeup option during the holiday season! They're probably swamped with the new Noctarcana releases, besides being also swamped with the usual heavier Christmastime sales. We wouldn't want them to overextend themselves by overpromising, & end up with swapped orders or the wrong body-parts or the wrong eyebrows or anything (sorry, Soom, but I heard wat u did thar...).

      If you "mostly" like a default faceup, except for a couple of elements, & you can afford the faceup, then spring for it! You might actually like it IRL, & then you'll be glad you did. When you get him home, try to modify the faceup to be what you like (or have someone do it)... and if that doesn't fly, you can always wipe him off & get him painted right. I personally adore Iples' faceups, because they're great quality in addition to flattering their sculpts well.

      But I'm with you about Mars's wig in the sales photo-- awful color with a tan! And let's not talk about poor Lion & Kamau & Gentle Akando, the ridiculous hair THEY have to wear for this event! Iple has some serious Wig Disorder sometimes. XD Anyway, I'd love to see RS Mars with shorter bangs so I can see more of his face & faceup. *STILL* cannot decide. ;;^^

      As Darci tells it, it's the apt but unpopular "Iplewhore". :XD:

      I for one am not ashamed of the label. Though I don't have 9 [yet], I have clearly achieved whoredom. I have.... 5, all special-color resin men... plus 2 alternate heads & 1 floating Louis event-head I can't bear to part with. And it seems that there is always room for one more around here.

      ...But I like Lion's wig. It totally makes him look like the character I'm getting him for...

      I will agree that's Mars' wig is silly though, especially with the pink eyes. But it's an asset to the sculpt that he still looks darn attractive like that, though.


      Also random question about the face-up: is the pink around the eyes really noticeable in person? Because it kinda bugs me.
