When you have both Tedrii...you must do at least one really close up shot of their faces...so we can see if there are any variations and what they are.

I really had a hard time about the beard or not...myself. I'm already second guessing myself. LOL. I'ts only been a day.

And yes...someone will have some lap candy...maybe Tedros...but my Kamau has been moping around lately...and I don't know whose lap the candy will fall.
And I haven't even begun to figure out what and who my Akando(s) will be after. Could get dicey around here. LOL.

 

If I had no head, but I still had a choice between an Akando, a Tedros and a Kamau? Dang. I don't know which lap *I* would land in either.

Luckily the Volks SD17 is a fine big strong-boned lad, and can handle being time-shared. If need be.

 

LOL! There are an abundance of sturdy EID laps around here lately. Eveyone wanting attention....Mercy! What's a headless...but strong-boned lad to do? I wonder if EID's are good at sharing?

 

On the free stuff, this is usually the way companies get rid of stuff that hasn't sold that well. I got Ryan and I during the event period and the gifts are items I probably woudn't have ordered but they are nicer than I thought they would be from the pictures! I think I will have fun with them! "I" will definately need a name!

 

LOL So wrong & yet so right!!!

 

Truly! There are about fifteen really wrong things popping up (yuk yuk) in my head (yuk yuk) that could go forth as responses but... alas...

Aha! I'm not surprised that Hassan #1 will not be homeless/loveless for long (if at all). It was quite distressing for a moment there thinking of the poor waif, alll alooooone... (swoon... where's my fainting couch?)

All this "lap" talk is getting me confused...

So, I'm wondering about order status -- mine says "Before Shipping / Cannot Cancel." I'm assuming that it might have that status for weeks. Do they change the status when it is close to shipping, or will it say "Before Shipping" until it actually has shipped? Every company seems to use different phrases: processing, preparing order, order received, before shipment, etc. Does Iplehouse send you a notice that you're shipping? Sometimes I just find a sweaty postman at my door with a big box and didn't even know my doll was shipping.

I'm obsessing a little and just wondered if anyone knew how Iple handles order status and if they notify you when it ships.

Yeah, "before shipping" is that long, long empty valley of time between Ordering and Shipping. The next status change will be when it actually ships.

Usually they notify you via email when your order has shipped. But they didn't last time... my Tedros surprised me at the office! (Our receptionist is both big & strong AND accustomed to my bizarre international deliveries. She suddenly plonked this massive box into my cubicle and announced, "Got another one!")

Naw, he will barely have a single moment alone! - Just the short drive from San Francisco to San Bruno while he's boxed up, then he'll be alone for about a half-hour. He's going to an extremely crowded & lively home. And if a single grain of Hassan remains inside that shell, he will be ecstatic to be moving to a house with female dolls in it. Lots of mature female dolls. Score! (Someday I will actually take pictures of the inside of Dannyboy's house; you've seen the guest stars, but the home where they come from is incredible. Dolls on every available surface...)

 

Netflix just recommended this movie to me as a 'similar title' when I was searching for Memoirs of a Geisha.



The alternate title is Geisha vs Ninja, which means it's officially the most amazing thing ever (previously the most amazing thing was a movie I saw once that features zombie Samurai, but I never got the name of the movie).

Which only begs the question of why the swords weren't options w/Soo & Asa.

 

Well, my Asa will be a secret assassin, but she uses a smaller weapon hidden in her sleeves. I don't know how other people are picturing theirs, though.

 

Is it bad that this is part of the reason why I was so excited that I won one of the free katanas? ^_~

Hmmm...someone else mentioned a "swap" thread for ppl to trade their free gifts. I will likely be down for this, since some of the stuff that has been for sale at Iple for a while is not my (or my guys') style like whoa.

We'll see, though. Time will tell.

Iple has stopped notifying you by email when something is "on shipping". And they just shipped me a clothes order on Thursday that on Friday said "shipment complete" when it had just arrived at customs. Luckily I had tracked the package on Thursday and had the tracking number because it was no longer on my order.

 

Sometimes emails from Korea seem to be swallowed up by some filter along the way. I'm not even getting the order acknowledgment emails!

I'm hoping that I'll be able to use all my free gifts, but it doesn't hurt to have a back-up plan. ^__^

 

Those I'm getting! And I'm getting their 'thank you for ordering' email too. But for my last doll order, I didn't get a 'your goods are shipping' email, doll just showed up. It does seem spotty.

 

I'm not even receiving any order email, but I did check my account with them and saw that it was processed.

I asked this in another forum, and being that it seems there are more Tokyo Story admirers like me here I'm curious to know. Does anyone else wishes the line had been extended longer ? Perhaps even for the remainder of the year, giving us realistic time to purchase all the dolls we wanted to ?
