Starzzz, hang in there . . you surely will get to keep your Tedros! They are so worth everything we go through for them!

JennyN, could you sleep for wanting to keep an eye on him? There is something so exciting about a new glorious doll that makes it difficult to stay asleep and not sneak peeks at them. I had that same thing on the hakama .. is that on him right? I cannot get it to drape down low as they wore them! But once you do get the outfit all on him .. Wow. He has presence!

 

Oh, I have enough sleep issues anyway - but having two Hassans in the house sure didn't make it any easier! Agagaga. Tell me again why I can't have twins? Oh right, shelf space, finite, etc.

Yes, the old guard must always make way for the new! But for a glorious moment, ahh, twins.


Wearing the proper eyes (12mm Gumdrops Java Frost). It's weird; these eyes didn't look at all right in my brown-resin Luo, who's almost the same skin color. But they are wonderful in this guy.


The Outfit, as perched on my couch. It looks so much more impressive standing up, but I'll get pix of that when I have more time.


And in case you were wondering a bald side-by-side without a beard & without eyes. Tokyo Tedros left, Noctarcana Tedros right. Almost like night and day! Newbie has way less heavy dark blushing overall, old boy has softer higher thicker eyebrows, newbie's lips look thinner and less smiley, because more neutral. And of course the pucker-blushing. ^^

PS. The mystery of the feet is thus: Old feet (basic) still have that old-fashioned resin hook. New feet (tabi) have the new loop. In case you care!

PS2. The tabi feet are cuter than I thought. XD I was afraid they'd look like those scary Volks tabi feet, like you could hitchhike with those things. But the toe is very subtly separated.

PS3. I am now 35 minutes late for work. Whee!

 

Jenny - Wow, Hassan 2 is awsome, congrats! I wish you could keep both because they are *such* eye candy! Yum!

Soo is very beautiful...the basic edition is really growing on me but I think the owner pictures of the Tokyo Story version are far better than Iple's pictures of her.

*sigh* I'm missing my Lee who's off getting a new faceup and body blushing and I've got what my husband calls "Dollies on the Brain" --meaning I am wanting to get a new doll. Unfortunately tires and a new muffler are coming first.

 

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh thanks so much for posting your Tedri next to each other like that! It's great for compairing the eyebrows and the facial hair!!! Yes, he is intense...not angry.

Oh Jenny! What a great display of the differences. It is such a shame you can't have both. They are really so different. Yes, even their mouths are painted differently.
(I'm making notes...for faceup tips. LOL)

Once you put Hassan's correct wig on newbie...the transformation happens.

I really appreciate the wigless and eyeless shot...it almost looks like the two theatre dramatic masks...on dark one light...(I forget what it's called...rough busy week). But it's a great comparison to study!

I haven't paid mine Tedros off yet...grumble.....but it's great to see spam to get me through.

I think the brown resin may be his best incarnation yet! And I'm loving that brow blushing that they're doing on this Tokyo Story version of him...

And congrats to those who are now On Shipping! Iple told me two weeks ago that they'd be shipping my Storm this week; but he's still 'Before Shipping'. So I guess I'll be waiting another week or more for him. I ordered him with the full outfit and a sword, plus a custom face up and some clothing (can't have him running around naked... or can I?) and paid in full on August 5.

 

The green with purple would be quite striking . .

Not that I don't think Christian there wouldn't make a charming Easter Bunny, of course; come April, he'll need that wig to wear with his lavender puff-tail thong

CONGRATS JennyNemesis on the arrival of your new Tedros. Ah yes..... the Tedros twins do look divine together. Very interesting to see the differences in their faceups.

I think the facial hair somehow increases the Angry. He's beautiful with those caribbean-aqua eyes in.

You mean the comedy-and-tragedy masks? Except this is intense-and-intenser. Or something. XD

It is amazing how changing the frame of the eyebrows sets up a whole new face, and how painting the lips differently can seem to change the thickness and softness of the mouth's whole expression. You could paint endless variations and get endless different men. These're both so beautiful! But alas, I'm not in the position to keep both! Hassan #1 will soon retire to a lovely house in San Bruno.

LOLOL Oh now I have the suspense...along with the wait.

I know I would regret not getting Tedros........I may have to chalk it up and get him Custom made instead in this wonderful resin color and that beard makeup too. Keep spammimg ladies I really love lookin at him and so does my Soo......

JennyN, I have nary a clue about the swords. In the shoot Onomatopoeia did last weekend you'll notice I handed one of them to Saber. Actually GAVE it to Saber because I have a couple of uber-awesome metal katanas here crying out for someone to hold them. (and yes there are so many really wrong places I could go with that thought...)

They're cool looking but have no heft and one of my two kept coming apart, irritating thing. So Saber has it now. It's exactly a perfect weight for a lighter doll.

She kind of acted like she'd not have minded taking Tedros home, but that is as large as my current largesse gets

That is just part of the agony Luluna . . or is that ecstasy? . . Wondering what your child will be like. Not even Iple knows! Whatever... he will be for certain... gorgeous! I haven't seen a single Tokyo Tedros yet that wasn't!

Clara.. I am thrilled that someone thinks I am assassin enough to show the way! With a rubber sword, to boot!

 

You know what I just discovered-- inside the haori-jacket, there are two little ties. I am betting those have something to do with the way these swords are supposed to go on (without the ties being visible)! Each scabbard has a loop, a long tail, and a short tail. I improvised & tied the long and short tails together in a sash style across his chest.

Iplehouse's sales photos are not much help; in some photos you can see the ties, in others they're not tied on, and there's no two pictures with the same positions. I think maybe we're supposed to wing it. ^^ So I'm kinda just giving up trying to figure it out.

Kay, I'm sorry to hear these swords didn't work out for your man! Luckily my lads are not sword-queens; if it's just for a photoshoot then these bendy plastic ones will do. XD They look good so far though, any way his special little sword-hands can hold 'em.

And Christian, I've been a bad girl for more years than you've got hairs on your little lilac head.

 

Hi Padme79!! My Soo is "On Shipping" too!!! It's the start of the holiday so I'm so glad they got them shipped before it started. My soo is apparently on the plane between Korea and New York right now. I might get her Tuesday (crazy squeal!!!).

Be sure to post pics when your girl arrives. I didn't get the kimono -- I'm sort of regretting that now, but I'll just have to make one for her.
