Iplehouse Toyko Story dolls discussion! New SID boy Storm & SID girl Soo

Clara, this is the closest I have to a side profile of him at the moment but he does have a great nose.

 

Doh! That's right, Auster! - I did already meet your wind-god in his arrival thread. Old brains, fulla holes. ;;^^ Well, I still like that wispy windy wig on him. He is a very intriguing looking young man.

I think his nose has a little bump similar to Tedros's, but not quite so pronounced. He doesn't look like he's had it broken in a bar fight. It is a fine nose.

 

Thank You Clara, you are too kind. He's not really any different from the other Tokyo Tedros . . told ya, they cloned the guys! Yes, that is Lee in the back . . could be he's trying to learn how to wield that sword from the big guys?

Patrice, Storm doesn't need a sword to compete! He can just look daggers through his enemies!! What a striking man he is . . I see he and JennyN's Tedros both seem to have an issue with clothes? .. What is it with these guys? Do you just not buy them many clothes or what? One thing for sure, Iple will come through for you on that sword! Whatever, he is on my wantlist for certain . .

JennyN, I have to run check out more of your Hassan's new post.. Well, I guess I can't blame him for tossing the outfit... With a body like that.. you might as well show it off when and where you can! LOL .. That one shot with him standing there and kimono flapping in the breeze is priceless... But that last pic is delicious.

Have to agree with Clara on Patrice's Storm . . that nose is fine! Nostrils that could flare like the god of thunder should! It always fascinates me how many different avenues people take their doll's character . . One a god, another a rascal, one a scholar, I love hearing their stories and just how they came to be . .

 

Flappin' in the breeze almost got 30 pix of just that, it's so awesome. Massively muscular thigh peeking out of long open gown, what's not to love?

Half-seriously, though, no, Hassan does NOT have as many clothes as the Superhero boys do (he's my only Model). And he cannot share a lot of them. ;; It's depressing how baggy Superhero clothes can look on him, and I refuse to camouflage that bod. We does need to shop for him more.

 

Who care about clothes when they have bodies like that!

Well, that's why Hassan didn't QUITE finish escaping from his fullset in only 1 photoshow!-- it took 30 pictures to get out of that fancy outfit & get the swords right, and now there's another 30 of him lounging around naked, but those will follow later -- I just think he prefers going bare to wearing unflatteringly baggy clothes. He doesn't have a lot of charm, so he must rely on those abs. XD

(SIDs totally need more tight leather clothing, btw-- if I had Lee or Storm he would also be going half-naked too. Those guys are built just as spectacularly as their Elder brethren, and yet their clothing selection so far is so wholesome....)

 

JennyN, you might get by with some well placed gems! I have seen some of your men look quite dashing with those and little more.. Then we could all just sit and admire many more of his muscled arms.. legs.. torso .. Why limit it to only the thighs!

Patriceand Baakay . . I think that is a universal agreement! More photos.. show more skin!

LOL .. No charm? For shame . . It might not be proper for Ms. Manners . . but he is absolutely loaded with charm.. Not so wholesome . . guess the younger set of SID has to learn to work that thing..

That is exactly what I thought about Tedros' nose too. I like Tedros' broken nose look - adds to his broodiness or bad boy look. As for Storm, I thought he had that bit of a bump too which is why I asked to see the side profile. Thanks for showing that Patrice. Tedros and Storm look like they could be related. Auster! Looking GOOOOOOOOD .

Like to see more of Hassan's photoshoot - maybe a few more pictures of the kimono flapping in the breeze? Curious as to how high that kimono flapped. Such a shame about the non-fitting of superhero and model bodies clothing. I would really like to put Luo the Strongman' halter top on Christian and Cuprit's black wings to make him one of Sharon Shinn's Archangels.

Models can get away with some of the Superhero clothes, but for anything fitted, it's remarkable the difference in size. Neck, chest, butt, shoulders.

I just order my Jessica last week, very very excited and can't really wait until she arrive. Are you happy with her? did you get one with large or medium breast? What do you think about the mobility thigh? I didn't get it though hope she still can move ok??

 

I can't agree with you, nose is a very important feature on men face. It actually help to make them look more masculine!!! and iplehouse did the best job on making a men face on their dolls, that's why I love this company

aekworks, I'm not ix-tab, but I will say the Jessica here is a dream sculpt . . and very happy with her! She came with the large breast in the Noctarcana character and it is everything you would think that title would be. No mobility thigh and I never miss it on the girls.. as their legs are so lovely without the line. They still pose nicely! Love the girls as much as the men . . And that is saying a great deal!

 

I don't have the mobility joint on any of my girls either, and don't miss it. 2 of my guys have it and I can't say I ever really use it that much. I'm with Sherry, I prefer the cleaner leg line without it. Jessica is a beautiful sculpt! You will love her.

 

Now Sherry, don't be cruel. If you lived closer I'd have one of my Iple girls give him the time of his life. But alas he will have to miss their skills in the art of love.

aekworks--I agree with Jackie and Sherry. None of my girls have the mobility joint. I much prefer the clean line of their legs and Iple females have beautiful legs.

 

It depends on what kind of mobility your girl will need! If she's into getting really Tantric with a neighborhood Tedros, or if she's into yoga, or both, then the mobility joint will let her cross her legs & widen her stance. But if she'll be just standing around looking hot, then skip the joint.

 

The guys have been getting too much attention in this thread. So, here is Soo -- she arrived yesterday. I really love her. I was so nervous about her -- is this the right sculpt for me, do I like the SID body, do I like the resin color, yada yada yada... The answer is yes, yes, yes, I love her!!!

She says a huge "hello" to her Soo cousins with Derilan85, nancy_schroeder_ca, and Padme79!!







PS: She's wearing the "gift" denim skirt from Iplehouse. They also sent a very short boyish bright red wig -- I was going to try it on her but she said "Don't even think about it." Her red sweater was handknit by my friend Monica Cooper (RandiC).
