1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Is it okay to dye any Bjd?

Feb 20, 2017

    1. I totaly understand, and this is something i have been considering to.. I am going to buy a abs doll first and try to dye, and a mirodoll and resinsoul before i try with a more expensive one. and since i am a person that change taste over time, i will think hard about doing anything that could destroy the value of course :) thank you for your thoughts!

    2. it's your doll, you're the one who choose

    3. I have modded a doll from that very same company, one that was discontinued even before the company discontinued everyone, and I have dyed (jet black!) parts of a limited Soom. My mods went pretty well, so that might be coloring my opinion, but basically... go for it. I think it's smart of you to try dying other resin first to get a feel for it- I did not do this, but then, the color I wanted was "as black as possible" so just dipping it longer was always an option for me. If you're after a lighter color, it's a good idea to test and see how to achieve it before doing it to the rarer doll.

So that's my other advice aside from "do it if you want to": do experiments and research! Look at dying tutorials and things like that. And good luck with your endeavor!

    4. It does not matter if it's a cheap or extremely expensive doll if you want to dye it then do so. Nobody has any say so on what you do with your dolls.

    5. It's your doll and your money. Dye to your heart's content.
