1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Rhiannon and Adam are rp characters. Rhiannon was mine so I had to have her although I never planned on it beforehand, but now that is how I see my girl. Adam was a friend's and he was Rhiannon's love interest and I had to have them together.

Simi is the same Simi from the Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. So not mine, but it's fun having that little character around. Life is interesting.

Caitlin is from one of my many fan fics, but while in the story she is an adult I have her child form represented. I saw the Hinaichigo mold and knew I had to get the doll to fit Caitlin.

Maurya and Sorcha I haven't decided on the two versions quite yet. In the story they are from they are Caitlin's younger twin sisters, but I want Rhiannon and Adam to have children so I haven't made up my mind quite yet. I have time to figure it out as I got waiting time now.

    2. So far? No. All of my current dolls are their own chacter that only came into existence once they were in my arms...though Caspien gave me an inkling ahead of time as he was on his way home. ;3 I'm getting an Axel MNM head and hell yes he's going to be Axel. xD And I plan on making my RP character Yuiko into doll form sometime next year as Musedoll Re-an. ^^ But otherwise I prefer them to be a non-premade character.

    3. For me, I always figured that I'd see a doll and a new character would come to mind...and then I saw the MNF Seorin face mold and went, "That is EXACTLY what Aria looks like in my head!" Since Aria's the main character in a novel I've been editing for publication for years, obviously the new character thing didn't happen ^_^.;; But I'd never planned on getting a doll of a pre-existing character before seeing that mold. And then it was just CLICK!

    4. I only have dolls based on characters I've previously created. It's a good way for me to control doll buying urges, so I won't pounce on every pretty doll that comes along. :sweat

    5. One is, very loosely. But he doesn't do that character justice so I might start over one day and find a doll that better does...

But by loosely, I mean very very loosely. As in.... I thought "hey, he's a really character awesome" and went from there.

    6. All of my dolls will be based on characters that I have created in the past and liked enough to want a 3-D version of them ^^ In fact, the first doll I'm getting will be based on a character that I've had in my life for almost 10 years. But I probably have hundreds of spare characters in my life, so even if I did just get a doll without a character in mind, it would only be a matter of time before I went through a sketchbook and said "yeah, this doll is definitely this character, no doubt."

    7. I based my doll off of an RP character that I made up. Oddly enough, the character's appearence was based off of Jack Spicer from Xaolin Showdown or something and over the years I finally made up a whole background and appearance for Xion. And now I'm working on bringing him to life in doll form ^^ along with Aron and Marius. There's so many more i want, but I doubt my parents would be happy with me blowing my entire paycheck and buying 15 dolls. I'd eventually run out of space xD

    8. Jyusal is based off of a very old original character of mine which I RP as frequently. He's been around since 2004, and he's also been through many 'stages' in which I would constantly change his personality. See, he used to be all serious... now he's really silly and flirty most of the time. And, very, very arrogant. xD He is part of an original story of mine.

    9. Mine kind of are based on original characters. I saw these dolls, and thought they were awesome - then I saw the Minifee Shushu and thought "I want that one, and she'll dress like this..." then suddenly I had a name, and a style, and then there were 2 other characters, and then a couple more, and by the way - this is our story! So the doll inspired the first character who took shape very quickly, and the other characters then joined her in my mind - some of them I'm searching for the doll to fit the character, and some of them it was more like "I've got to get this doll. Who can he be?"

They have a rough outline of a story, but details of anything more than character are pretty sketchy still.

    10. My first boy is turning out to be ridiculously hard to figure out- he's just not telling me anything yet, so I'm going to wait til I put him in his new wig ^^

I've made plans for a second one also who remains nameless and without personality as yet, but my dream doll list has five dolls on it who'd be based on characters that I developed after seeing them- it's a bit complicated to explain, but their faces just struck me as a perfect fit for a "such and such" character type and thus evolved from there >.<

    11. No, some of them may have small traits from anime characters, but they are really their own personalities.
I tend to not go too deep with my dolls character/personality anyway...:sweat

    12. I put both :)
Yue and Zeke aren't based on anyone in particular.

But Yuki is based on Yuki from Fruits Basket and
Kaname is Kaname from Vampire Knight (but when he is a child cos DZ Leo is only little ^_^)

    13. I've always toyed with the idea of trying to personify some of my favorite characters as dolls...but I'm also a little wary of it, because when I got Elijah his personality was so different than anticipated, even though I wasn't basing him off anything to begin with. It's still so cool to find a mold that looks perfect for a character though! :D

    14. I have two that are and one that isn't. The first one a friend actually said he looked like the character I role play on a forum with her so he became that character. The second was one I bought for the sole reason that he looked like a character I had made up and had been drawing for years. Then the last one who had no character I purchased off of the marketplace here because I just fell in love with him. The doll created the character and its definitely an interesting one. ^__^

    15. Mine all just sort of...evolved once I got them.
Emma's name came to me when I picked her up for the first time, and her backstory has been 'revealing' itself ever since.
Yun's name came from extensive research for a possible (and realistic) Chinese name. His backstory hasn't been decided outside of being Emma's cousin (by ...marraige?), possibly a model and he travels a -lot-.

    16. Almost all of mine are based on pre-existing characters that I've had for years and years. x3 Finding this hobby made me SO happy, because it gave me a chance to create a physical manifestation of things that are very precious to me. It's priceless to be able to hold something that you can deem the personification of a character that you've worked hard on creating and giving life, making it that much more real.

And, I'll admit, I'm going to be getting some video game character boys in the future. xP Having seen a doll that was cosplaying one of them as my very first Dollfie, it was inevitable. That, and I just love them so darn much. ^__^

    17. I voted both.

None of the dolls I have right now are based on anime/manga/pre-existing RP/other types of pre-existing characters. But I do plan on getting another biy in the future who will be loosely based on Wolfram from Kyo Kara Maoh. I've had him in mind for a while. I might make a few other character dolls too, if I have the funds after Wolfram and the rest of my original dolls.

    18. I voted No, but I remember now that I thought up the characters of Zenshin and Hinoko before I chose their sculpts. They were always meant to be dolls, though, and don't exist as RPG or fiction characters. Beyond that, all my dolls introduced themselves to me at box-opening or even before. My fictional characters exist on paper, not in 3D, and if I really fangirl an anime I'd rather write fanfic than create resin versions of the characters. I guess my imagination isn't as visual as other people's.

    19. Based off of an existing rp character, in fact the story I've created with my bestfriend (and my rp partner in fact) took such importance that I thought it was worth to use the story for my dolls.

    20. I'm in the process of creating a character for Eva, but I'm planning to buy another doll based loosely on a little boy from a short story I wrote two or three years ago and still love.
