1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Is Your Doll Better Dressed Than You?

Feb 19, 2017

    1. Yeah, most definitely. I pretty much exist in a t-shirt and jeans/sweatpants, with the occasional time where I have to dress professional. My dolls are much better coordinated, and sometimes even wear more expensive clothes than I do.

    2. Yes! x) If I was a wizard I’d totally swap clothes with them haha. I spoil my characters too much. :P

    3. My girl's really hard to shop for (she's an Atelier Momoni Momonita) so unfortunately no:( But I'm working on getting her wardrobe better, learning to make tiny clothes:) hopefully she can wear all the clothes I'm not brave enough to:lol:

    4. Oh man, I feel this one. The new girl I just ordered is that weird size in BETWEEN the MSD-type and the YOSD-type and it's basically hand made or nothing at all.
What kinds of clothes do you plan on making for her?

    5. Not yet but they will be when I've got time to make them more stuff. I'm usually pretty casual but a couple of my characters have fairly distinct styles planned that just wouldn't work for everyday wear.

    6. Always XD Elio is very classy and professional and Thaddeus used to be a prince... I have a few other characters I’m waiting to shell, too, and I vicariously live through their good fashion lol! I’m usually in sweatpants and a hoodie haha

    7. Yes. Definitely yes. And they have a larger range of colors instead of black. (I can't help if black matches with everything!)

    8. Though she doesn't have much of a wardrobe yet, I'd say my girl dresses fancier than me, but we both dress well in our own ways :)

    9. Definitely! Although, that's not really saying much since I mostly just wear a t-shirt and jeans.

    10. Definitely and their wardrobe cost way more than I ever spend on myself, but they deserve it for the pleasure they bring me

    11. Absolutely! They have better style and more expensive clothes than I do.

    12. Definitely! Having grown older and bigger I wouldn’t dream of dressing in clothes similar to my dolls. I might have worn some of the styles when I was younger and slimmer but can happily fulfill any sartorial dreams through them.

    13. I live in tshirts and leggings. So yes my dolls dress way better than me. I kind of live through them.

    14. I live in jeans with t-shirts, or a polo for work. Uh, I would assume they are better dressed than me! But I'm working on that part.

    15. Yes and they wear clothes more expensive than mine, specially the shoes

    16. At the moment, no...she's nude! But I'm in the process of making her a gown which WILL make her better dressed than me. Hoping it comes together the way I'm seeing in my head. I think she'll stay barefoot, though. She says she's a fairy and I just can't see a fairy wearing restrictive shoes.

    17. Definitely yes. I won't be hestitant to buy 200-buck-cloth for my dolls, but for me, yes.

    18. Considering I love being comfortable, and comfortable doesn't always mean dressed well, I would say my doll(s) will most definitely be better dressed than I. I probably would long to wear some of the fanciful dresses and outfits I look at online while browsing around, I just get reminded about how uncomfortable they might be to wear and somehow I end up feeling fine about it. *laughs*

    19. Most definitely yes. I don’t personally buy much human clothes (for myself) for I only wear the ones I like the most anyway. But for my dolls I just can’t stop spending money on they clothes ;)

    20. No, they are dressed like me.
      I'm a fashion victim, baby.
