Is Your Doll Better Dressed Than You?

My dolls definitely end up better dressed than me. They also get hand knits since I'm still not brave enough to attempt a sweater in my size (plus doll sized is more instant gratification).
And when it comes to shoes, I beat one pair to death over a couple of years usually before I break down and buy another pair, and grumble if I pay over $10. My dolls, however: "Oh, look! Only $30 for that adorable pair of shoes for my Lati Yellow! She must have them!"

 

Absolutely, haha. I dress very casually, but my dolls will look far better than I do style-wise. I'm okay with that, since I don't really care about being fashionable. I'd rather be comfortable versus paying crazy money for clothing I'll outgrow. My dolls don't have to worry about that.

 

The outfit I ordered for my first boy is definitely much nicer than anything I own. Shame really that they don't make such beautiful clothing for people. Though I do prefer the fantasy stuff, be ok for the ren faire atleast >>;

 

Usually, yes. Alex has a lovely black kimono, which he often wears. And Ethan has a cute outfit coming soon. I just generally throw on random stuff that looks vaguely good together. I usually put more thought into their outfits.

But, right now, we all look like we're dressed for bed! I am definitely, Alex is sitting in a vest and baggy harem pants, and Ethan - being the new guy - is sitting in a pair of boxers and a t-shirt.

 

Yes, I basically live in pajama's.

 

I don't even have my girl home and yet and she's already better dressed than me! It's odd that a doll I don't even have in my hands yet has more of a sense of style than I do for myself. All the clothes I ordered for her are so specific to one taste and chosen so particularly down to the textures I wanted her to wear and here I am just throwing on what ever works for the day.

 

I mean, if I could waltz out in the street in Victorian clothes without getting some weird looks, I totally would.

If I would have answered this last year then I would have to say yes, they are but as of now I think we are equally well dressed as I have started revamping my wardrobe this year and have become a lolita.

 

Haha! Yup dolls definitely better dressed than me! If all my doll clothes would be life sized though I reckon the outfits would cost a fortune, I love how detailed they are though probably wouldn't look any good with me!

 

Whenever I get a chance to dress the way I like, no. My dolls are mostly college kids wearing fairly stylish casual clothes, but I am a lolita.

I wear normal clothing on working days or very busy days, and then I would say we're neck and neck.

Despite having today off, I have forgone petticoats for pyjamas due to illness, so I guess they win.

 

Always... They get way better outfits than I do. But it' hard finding nice outfits like theirs for me so.. XD

 

So so so so so so true!! My dolls clothes are all more expensive than my own!! I dont even actually buy clothes that much and i go for simple and comfortable clothes!! I always get my babies the best and i spend more on shoes compared to clothes!! Hahaha (personal preference) ♡♡

Um, of course! Haha, my dolls styles vary, but all are put together to perfection. I actually have a fairly decent style myself, but some days...not so much.

 

Yes! XD my dolls clothes are more expensive than mine id only buy a 5$ shirt for myself and if its morethan 10 i wouldnt buy it lol my dolls dress better that i do

 

They used to! I would spend much more on clothing for BJDs rather than myself during my college years. Now that I'm further along in my career working for an art business in NY, I've had to spend a lot more on dressing myself.

 

Yes, they definitely dress better than me, have more clothes & their clothes are more expensive. While I like nice things for myself, I live in jeans & pretty tops that I buy when clearance prices are 50% off that. My dolls are indulged in full price outfits & those crazy expensive shoes. Oh well, I'm far too old & fat to wear the styles my dolls wear anyway.

 

Currently my girl is wearing an outfit I made to match one of my own favorite outfits so we're equally well dressed. But I have a lot more bad hair days than her so overall she is better styled than me
