1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Island Doll Tinies

Sep 23, 2009

    1. @ Bev and Lisa's Dream Dolls thanks!

HoushiChan, she is so cute! Congratulations!

    2. Elise just got her dress my friend made for her so we celebrated and went out to a cafe! she wasn't happy that we ate all the cake and she didn't get any...

    3. Chaye: Beautiful dress! Your friend did an excellent job sewing it. The pink and white is so pretty. Elise's pigtails are very cute on her, too. :D

HoushiChan: I hope I didn't sound like I was critiquing your dress with my comment on your box opening. I'm sorry if I sounded that way. I truly think you did a wonderful job sewing Mila's dress, especially with handsewing--that is hard work! *_* Anyway, keep up the great work! ;) I hope you can get Mila a wig soon--maybe for Christmas. Put out some hints to your family members and friends! I know how it is to be short on dolly funds. Sometimes its hard to be patient. The good thing about Island Dolls, though, is that their heads are so smooth and pretty that they look good with or without hair. Of course, I prefer hair, but in the interim, Mila is still a beauty. I'm looking forward to seeing more pics of her. :)

    4. Lisa's Dream Doll: Thank you! My friend is silly and said she didn't do very good seems and such but she's makes a pretty dress despite her complaining! There is also a VERY cute lace underskirt she made too :3 I love the pig tails on this wig so much <3 but I have to be careful cause sometimes the braids fall behind her and she looks like a little boy in a dress LOL

    5. Chaye, Elise looks gorgeous in her new dress! I love how sweet and feminine it is, and it suits her perfectly. I love everything about Elise including her name.

    6. Bev: Aww! Thank you so much ^___^ isn't she just adorable?

    7. Lisa's Dream Dolls Oh no, I didn't take ANY offense lol! XD But she won't be getting a wig for a while as this was a secret purchase... And I do feel very guilty for buying something so costly while my entire family is having a very hard time during this recession including my parents :( I did save lunch money to buy her but I still feel guilty, although I don't regret anything ^^ I guess I'll just have to work harder to make myself feel like I deserved it! :)

    8. HoushiChan, you sacrificed to get her, and she looks just fine as she is. When you do finally save up enough for a wig, it will be like getting a new dolly. Meanwhile, enjoy her for the sweet little angel she is. Think of the cute hats you can make for her in the meantime. I have one little elfin doll who wears hats more often than wigs. She wears knit hats, and beanies and just about any head gear you can imagine. Hats can be made from old socks and all sorts of scraps of fabric or ribbon.

    9. HoushiChan: I think you do deserve a little pick-me-up now and then. Those are the things that keep us going in these hard times. Think of your little angel as a blessing from God! I know she is. God wants to bless you with nice things. I truly thank Him for all of my dollies! ;)

Bev and HoushiChan: Those are great ideas! What dolly wouldn't appreciate a nice warm hat this time of year--actually what human wouldn't?! There are also a lot of ways to make your own wigs with those fake fur fabrics like they sell at Hobby Lobby. They have all colors, and they're pretty cheap. I have even heard of yarn and feather wigs. HoushiChan, just let your imagination flow! ;)

    10. Rory would like you all to have a Merry Christmas

    11. MERRY CHRISTMAS Rory <3

    12. Polkaroo: I just got back in from out of town, but I hope you and Rory had a very Merry Christmas! :)

    13. I keep wanting a tan... but who?

    14. Hello! It's my Jessie Special. She lives at me from now on.

    15. DeadLegato: I think that any of the sculpts would look great in tan. You should get whatever sculpt speaks to you the most--the one that makes your heart beat a little faster!

Moymishka: Hi! Welcome to the thread! I am not able to see your Jessie's photos. Maybe you could try re-posting them. ;)

    16. Moymishka Ooh she's so pretty :D Your Jessie looks very sweet <3

On a side note, I just bought a wig :3 yay! But does anyone else have a problem with the feet or legs? One of my legs gets sorta stuckish, like its a tad hard to straighten out. Unlike the other leg which is waaay to loose (but thats not a problem). The stringing isn't the problem for the stuck leg cause the elastic isn't that tight... but its just... something else. I'm thinking it could be one of the double joint pieces?
      And I think one of the feet hasn't been drilled enough or something. The right foot bends up higher than the other foot by quite a bit. ;~;

    17. BUMP for dead thread :P

    18. Congratulations on the wig! That's odd you are having problems with the feet and legs. My two girls are some of my best posers and I haven't had any problems at all. I don't know enough about stringing issues to give good advice. :(

    19. Moymishka <3 Your Jessie is so pretty :3

    20. HoushiChan: I am also sorry to hear that you've had some problems with Mila. All three of my girls seem just fine. There are always differences/variations among dolls, though. I haven't heard of stringing problems with the Island Doll Tinies, but I heard one complaint on the MSD-size. It was on YouTube. This person complained that their Island Doll was strung too tightly. If you are really concerned, I would e-mail Emory at The Junky Spot and see what he says since you bought her from him. He's a really great guy, and I'm sure he will give you some advice. You can also leave him a message on The Junky Spot forum. That may be the better way to reach him. Actually, I would do both. That way he will be sure to get your message. I hope you can get things worked out.
