1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Island Doll Tinies

Sep 23, 2009

    1. Congratulations! How is her resin and her posing?

    2. Oh, congrats! Isa is a pretty name and fits her well, and she looks very cute!

    3. Thanks! She is really wonderful. I have nothing honestly bad to say about her.

Her Resin is very heavy and smooth. I actually got her to pose on one leg but didnt have the camera available (of course). I do have a cute pic of her hanging from a tree. Her knees and arms are double jointed and have a nice firmness to each position they get put into. Her Headcap is held on by a very strong magnet

@Milly77 I have pics of the inside of her head in my box opening thread now.

    4. @PsychaDurmont Congrats on your new tiny! She's a cutie!!! :D I'm in love with her fullset outfit.

    5. Isa is beautiful! I've been debating back and forth for months about getting an Artemis. Thank you so much for posting real life pictures of her and for the review

    6. PsychaDurmont, I really like her with blue eyes.

    7. Congrats Milly77 on your arrival! She looks adorable.
I love how you captured her moves and poses. :D

    8. I thought about ordering a Island doll body, but I'm really confused about their skin options. I have this french seller's site (http://winddoll.creezvotreboutique....=1205&osCsid=12d6c69a52867fc9aa48e43f1d01f08f) and it says that you can order either "Island resin" in 7 different colors or "Resin Japonaise" in 3 colors. Is Resin Japonaise = French resin? Which one do you think is better, Island resin or resin Japonaise?
(I want to order a body in white skin)

    9. babyelf On featherfall's site is a great pic of the different resins.

      ISLANDDOLL

      I hope this helps :)

Personally, I find the Island doll resin to be nice and heavy and smooth. I dont know about this other "resin Japonaise" but it almost sound like to me that they are just saying that it is made out of Japanese resin and that there are 7 standard colors from resinsoul. But that's just my guess.

    10. Oh, I just found the answer to my resin question. Villemo Art, a polish BJD shop, has a very good description on their site. Maybe it is of interest to someone else.

      - ENVIRONMENTAL resin - it is a type of resin which gives you a feeling of a delicate, transparent skin. It looks a little like "french resin", but it is more UV ray resistant then french.
As environmental is more universal resin, you may choose between 7 colors: snow white, milky white, normal, island, pink, neutral beige and tan.
      - STANDARD resin - it is type of resin which is solid and not transculent. Standard resin as most of bjd dolls.
You may choose between 3 colors: white, normal, pink.

Obviously Resin Japonaise is just common standard resin :doh.

    11. Thanks, I was always thinking about the difference. :)

    12. Is your girl standard or environmental resin?

    13. She is environmental resin, milk white colour. The resin looks indeed a bit transparent/translucent, but not in the way you could see through it. ;)

    14. PsychaDurmont, I thought the bow&arrow are not included, I noticed everywhere it says "not available for purchase"...did they just include it for free?

      I really want an Artemis♥

    15. She was purchased from Featherfall as a fullset. She came with full outfit, wig, free random eyes and bow and arrows.

Thats funny about the bow and arrows. I just noticed when looking back at the featherfall site that it states they are not included for separate sale. I think maybe it was just the LE fullsets that came with them. You can still on featherfall, purchase every other part of the outfit and even the wig for a short time.

However, the bow and arrows shouldnt be too hard to make if you're crafty. the arrow tips and feathers are just felt glued onto small straight wires. The bow is also felt over plastic and twine for the bow string. I hope this helps.

    16. Lol, I'm not too crafty, but I think I could try that, I didn't even notice the part that the arrow tip and feathers were felt XD
I love her outfit though, I would definitely only get her with everything in the fullset photos (even w/o bow&arrow)!

    17. I'm surprised nobody has updated the news thread about these two cuties! They have a new boy and girl tiny! One is named Finley (Gonna mod him to be a girl), and the other is Sophia. They have two other new dolls as well in the SD category. But, well this IS the tiny thread. So, anybody going to be ordering the new cuties?

    18. Hi everyone!

Someone pointed me to this Tiny thread. I've bought my first BJD about a month and a half ago and she's an IslandDoll Cookie. I'm looking to buy her a nice pair of jeans (not to boy-ish and preferably with a wide leg) to go with the Converse sneakers I ordered for her (really cool ones with Jack Skellington on them).

Any tips on where to look for YO SD jeans?

      Thanks!
