1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Island Doll Tinies

Sep 23, 2009

    1. Oh, Lisa, I'm so glad you are excited about your Island Dolls! I have Emily with Artemis on the way. I can't wait to get her. I need to take some pictures. I think Island Dolls are underappreciated. They really are a good value at an affordable price. And they have lots of resin color choices!

HoushiChan I can't wait to see your Cassandra pictures. I'll bet you are counting the days!

    2. Chaye, I love Elise's wig! Can't wait to see her all dressed up!

    3. My friend is currently making her a little dress while I wait for a Soom outfit I ordered to come in ^_^ Once I get her in some clothes I will be sure to spam <3

    4. HoushiChan: Hi! Congrats on your new Cassandra! I will try to post some pics of my girls tomorrow, as long as you forgive their outfits. Like I said previously, I just stuck some of what I had that would fit on them, so they wouldn't be naked. They are such beautiful dolls that I can't wait to sew them some outfits that hopefully do them justice. I had never heard of Island Dolls before I saw them on The Junky Spot's Black Thriday Sale, but it was love at first sight. I am so thankful that I was able to buy them. I, too, need to build up my dolly funds again. I bought them some wigs from The Junky Spot also, and I just love them--so pleased! They came with eyes, of course, but I purchased my own for them off eBay; and I really love them, too. The next thing I need to get them is some shoes. I am trying to decide which colors I want. I really think that I will just get a neutral color for each of them, so that they will go with several different outfits. I do love all the pretty colors, though. Hopefully I can do that within the next day or so. By the way, I love your signature--so true! :aheartbea

Bev: Congratulations on your two girls as well! I know you are going to love Artemis as much as Emily when you get her. I agree that Island Dolls are definitely underappreciated. If it hadn't been for The Junky Spot, I may have never stumbled across them. I had considered Little Fees because I have a very large Puki collection, but I just couldn't see dishing out $330 per doll. Three dolls would have cost me a little over $1,000 with shipping. That's why I was so thrilled when I saw the price of the Island Dolls and thought that they were just as beautiful as the Little Fees, but for a fraction of the cost, especially with the special sale prices. You just couldn't beat them. It is so nice that they have the different resin colors. Not many BJD companies seem to offer that. My girls are all normal skin, but I do think the other colors are very attractive as well. ;)

    5. Oh my gosh, Artemis arrived and I love her! Her blue eyes might be a little startling, but I'll see whether I get used to them. If not, I can change them out.

    6. Bev Ooooh, her eyes are really glowy! :o She's really pretty, how is her posing???

    7. She poses nicely and stands rock solid. She is even well balanced in a crouching position and not a bit kicky.

    8. >//< aaaah, that makes it so much harder to wait for my Cassandra! Just 3 more days but this week has been soooo slow! D: I can't wait until Saturday! ;~;

    9. I can't wait to see your Cassandra! I'll bet she will be just beautiful! The last few days' wait seems to drag, I know!

    10. Bev: Artemis is so pretty! I am so happy for you! :) What a darling little outfit! I like her pretty blue eyes. They really stand out with her skin coloring and dark wig. Her wig is wonderful, too! She is just gorgeous from head to toe! :D

HoushiChan: Hang in there! It won't be much longer! Waiting is definitely the hardest part! :o

I finally took some pics of my girls--Emily, Kayla, and Cassandra. I have a couple more on my Flickr if you would like to see them. ;) Remember, these are just temporary clothes until I can make them some. I had to use whatever I could find that would fit them. I know--pretty pitiful!

    11. Your girls are beautiful! I think their outfits are cute--and Cassandra's matches her coloring perfectly.

    12. Lisa's Dream Dolls Aww >///< those pictures just made it THAT much harder to wait =w= They're all soooo cute ^^

    13. Bev and HoushiChan: Thank you both so much for your sweet comments--and my girls thank you, too! I did get their shoes ordered late last night. Yay!!! Now to get working on those Christmas dresses! I have the material--I just need to find the time to sew. Whew!!! So much going on! Bev, I am looking forward to seeing more pics of your beauty; and HoushiChan, I can't wait to see your new girl. ;)

please excuse the knife... I took this during a box opening =/

    15. Polkaroo, I'm glad you explained about the knife. I was a little frightened of your sweetie at first! She's beautiful, and I love her red hair.

    16. Thank you Bev! Usually forks are her weapon of choice lol. I discovered recently that her wig is actually a Spite&Malice. It's a great wig; you can do like anything with it :)

    17. A Spite&Malice wig and armed with a knife....hmmm, you might want to watch that one. LOL. Just kidding. She's adorable.

    18. Polkaroo: I, too, was wondering about the knife when I first saw it. I thought, "Here's this pretty girl dressed in a dainty dress...with a knife." I'm glad to hear that she was just holding it for you. She is very pretty! I love everything--her wig, eyes, and dress. Congratulations! :)

    19. HoushiChan: Oh, I am so happy for you! ***jumps up and down*** Mila is just beautiful!!! :fangirl: She looks gorgeous with the white skin! I can see her now with a pretty blonde wig. She will make the most beautiful angel ever!!! A BIG congratulations to you!!! :D
