    1. Please excuse the interruption of all the lovely photo's, but I was wondering if anyone had done subtractive modding on IslandDoll resin at all? It looks like French, which obviously is impossible to sand without causing yourself major heartache and I'd need to do some fairly major removal to make the 45cm body work for what I have in mind, so I was hoping someone could tell me if there's a colour on the ID spectrum that can cope with sanding?       Uma- Aditi looks stunning with those flowers! What kind of sunlight was hitting her? She just looks so perfectly lit she almost glows.

      guls- A blue Lilith!? Wow, I would have never thought of that since she has such a natural face sculpt as opposed to a more fantasy/elfish one, but she looks really good in your mock up. I'd be interested to see how she turns out in person especially since Island doll resin has a translucency to it. Have you gotten to order her yet, or are you still in the planning phase?

      Lulu-I've never sanded Island doll resin so I can't speak to how well it takes to it, but I know they have a stark white color option, snow-white i think its called. If I had to guess, that would be the best to sand since lighter resin usually takes to sanding better, and that's about as light as it gets. That's just my logic though :XD: Hopefully someone else will be able to help you more!

    4. Hi everyone! I don't know why I never post in this thread. I just saw it today and thought: I should pop in there and say hello. I have two Island Doll mini girls, Hunter (Ivy in Normal Skin) and Georgia Lee (Amy in Milk White). I'm currently waiting for Hunter's new wig to arrive, but as soon as it gets here, I will take some decent photos of my girls and share them. :)

      Everyone's dolls look lovely! I enjoy seeing all the photos. :)

      Sapphire- Howdy! Nice to see a new face for sure. I'm looking forward to seeing your girls, they sound real cute :whee: What kind of wig is Hunter getting? I'm always interested in wigs, they make such a big difference on how a doll looks.

    9. I haven't been around much either! Thank you about the photo I had to go back and look at it, I remember that day but that picture was taken out front so there was no direct sunlight on her.     10. Uma- Good to know about the lighting, I wouldn't have guessed there was no direct light. Bobo's doing pretty well, no real good pictures though to show proof, I've gotten lazy with the camera lol. I'll get back into it eventually though! And take your time, I'll just be window shopping on the marketplace in the mean time :XD:

    11. Hunter got her new wig last week! We've been having crappy weather, so I couldn't take her outside for photos like I wanted to until today. Anyway, here she is in her "lion skin" body suit. (She is a shape-shifter and her alter ego is a lioness.) Her wig is Monique Gold Label Collection "Ginger" size 6/7 in light golden blond/ginger brown mix. Her eyes are Brilliant Glass 14mm, although I am currently looking for ones I like better than these. I'm looking for a kind of gold/green colour.

      Anyway, here is Aurora Hunter (Ivy, normal skin, default faceup with lashes removed):

    13. Thank you! Yes, I have definitely been to Safrin. :D Almost all my dolls have Safrin eyes. Hunter is one of the few of my dolls that don't actually have Safrin eyes.


      So, I have a question for all you lovely Island Doll owners. Does anyone in here have a Shukaku? I'd love to see some owner pics of him.

      thank you very much! Yes, I agree...the company photos really don't do justice to Ivy. She actually looks kind of silly in the company photos, in my opinion. Ivy is actually my favourite Island Doll sculpt, though. :D


      I need to post pics of Georgia Lee (Amy) too, but I just noticed she lost her eye lashes off one eye. :( Hunter actually lost her lashes from one eye as well, which is why I removed the other one. I'm beginning to think Island Doll has some faulty eyelash gluing issues! Has anyone else had this problem?

      Anyway, I'm trying to decide if I want to remove Georgia Lee's lashes completely or get her some new ones. Maybe I'll take a pic of her as she is now (lashes only on one side), and ask for some opinions. :)

Lol I looked at Lilith's company pic again...she looks a little like a spaced out, buck tooth, cartoon character. :XD: Yet I still felt the instant love and ordered her the day she was released...with my fingers crossed that she will look like what I was hoping she would look like in person...and she did. ;)
