I got Lilith this morning, and she didn't fit into any of the clothing I brought for her! She's bigger than what I was expecting (Katie is around 42cm tall, and my ResinSoul dolls are around the same). But here she is, in her faceupless glory and "wonky cleavage"
I honestly think I've read this thread start to finish 4 times in the past few days while waiting for my account to be approved. *laughs* I'm a mess of nerves (good ones) and excitement while waiting for my Island Doll Wallace to arrive! He should be here by Wednesday and will be my first doll! (I think I've said that three times already tonight, but I'm just.. ah... it's wonderful anticipation!) I've followed the Underrated BJD tumblr that was talked about here, I'm definitely going to submit a picture of him to it. Thank you to who referenced it! And have been marveling at all the pictures here and how utterly utterly unique each and every doll posted looks. Such beauties!!
Hey, it's been a while! I come looking for advice today lol. After spending a long time trying to find a character that would actually stick to my Lilith I finally found one that feels right. The only problem is is that she needs a fitted woman's business suit and I have no idea where to find one that will fit! It seems all the nice mature clothes are only for SDs OTL So I decided I'll probably need to commission an outfit but I have no idea who to go to that could actually sew for her size since she has the large chest. Any of you know of anyone that works with her size?
Sharing some Lilith spam, as I just got my girl, Faye, today. I think she's going to need to be restrung, as she feels really tight and one arm isn't posing as well as the other. But that will be a project for next week since I'm moving on Friday and packing needs to happen first. Then we'll need to work on sewing her some pants, since these ones don't close, lol.
Zia89 - I found out that normal MSD clothes work for the Large bust Liliths, slim MSD clothing will not work and be super tight or not fasten at all, specially at 45cm tall. I still need to figure out who my Lilith is going to be, she won't settle on a certain character/person. I think it may be because shes in snow white skin, so no "human" character will work for her (as much as I'd love a human character that white, it really isn't usual) Though, speaking of styles, I think Katie has made her mind up on her style... Just needs a better face up... at some point...
Thanks Umaeril. :-) Good to know to avoid slim msd clothes. My current issue is trying to find pants to fit my girl, lol. Kerantli- she's really pretty. I'm look into that Moonhawke, my Lilith (currently named Jess) certainly has an otherworldly look about her, unlike Katie (Amy Maid), who is innocent, but knows how to use men to her advantage.. As for pants, no help there.. none of my girls really wear pants/trousers, plus 4 out of 6 are slim MSDs! (Katie, my MNF and my two ResinSouls. The two that aren't slim MSD is Lilith and my Fect Doll). Plus, I sew them their clothing some times, only way I know they'll fit! Faye got restrung this evening, and she's posing great! The sueding really helped. I'm still having some trouble with her sitting though. I wonder if maybe her mobility joints aren't in the correct position?

I've quite enjoyed reading this thread! My first bjd is on layaway, and she is an Island Dolls Lillith in Island skin. :3 it was love at first sight, as as soon as I saw her, I realized that she looked just like my D&D character Oreana. I ordered her with a face up, I'll have to find her a wig and clothes, but I have a few months to figure that all out. I've loved seeing everyone's pictures and I can't wait for her to get here.

I've only had my Lilith since Xmas, yet she was very close to being sold. HOWEVER, I figured out what it was that was annoying me about her. her massive eyes. So I went and got some air drying paper clay to see if I could mod her eyes into something more suited to the way I wanted her. My test mod worked and you can see it here; With that version of the mod she was in 10mm eyes, which is a big difference to the 18mm purple ones in the unmodded half of that picture. I now have milliput to do it properly.
