@Cap'n both of those hybrids are cute as heck! I actually think i like the bru better on the 1/6 body
Yeah 1/8 Bru looks so uncomfortable to me. Like the head is gonna snap under the weight. But on a 1/6 it looks like a chibi.
@Cap'n OMG, I was actually planning to hybrid with a 1/6 body! The kiddish proportions are adorable. I'm so glad it looks so cute, I wasn't sure what to expect- I'm still kind of unsure of the exact scale of these guys
Ooo! Love the hybrids! Makes me tempted to find a smaller head for the body. But I don't even know where to start. I've never looked at tiny hybrids.
Hello! I've just bought one and I was wondering if 20/22mm eyes would fit, as I'm not a fan of large eyes and my other dolls have way smaller eyes, so I can't compare when it arrives... If someone could let me know how does a smaller eye size looks like, I'd be really grateful!
You may be able to get away with 22mm but 20mm are much too small and there would be noticeable gaping. I would actually recommend ordering the eyes the doll comes with since glass 24mm eyes are hard to come by.
Oh, I see... I only unpacked my dolls yesterday (poor things have been in a box for 8 years, I'm the worst) and saw that I actually have 20mm eyes, so I'll check them out when the doll comes, either way, I took your advice and orderer 24mm eyes Thank you for your answer, it was very helpful!
Updating this thread since I stumbled across these cuties by accident on ACBJD, and since Islanddoll is having an event sale, I ended up ordering Greedy in NS and Gloom in Dark Tan! Does anyone know the average turn around time for Islanddoll?
@Akemi3167 I just bought a blank body from them on 10/02 and it was delivered to my agent on 12/5! But I bought directly from their taobao. In my experience they tend to take around 2 months, but idk if the sale or holiday will make that longer.
Thank you I'm currrently just windows shopping as I can't do any doll orders at the moment. But they have piqued my interest (especially Gloomy) as I already got a few Blythes. I thought Bru and Blythe would be cool together sharing the same doll shelf.
Love everyone's pictures! Am thinking of getting a Bru and just wondering how they would look beside a pukifee -- I have a roombox for my Pukifee and if they are to share this, I want to make sure the Bru's head isn't too big
They might look a bit odd in comparison. Depends on what sort of look you are going for. Bru can actually wear some Pukifee clothes but their heads are much larger. Pukifee have a 14cm head while Bru have 22cm heads. Bru's head and face is overall a lot bigger. I don't have a Pukifee but I have some smaller headed 1/8 dolls that can wear Pukifee clothes (Lati Yellow and Tiny Delf). I'll see if I can get ya a comparison pic in a couple hours of them.
