1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Itty-bitty, or jumbo-wumbo?

    1. MSD and up, definitely. It's much easier to find clothes for them and making them myself is easier when they're bigger. That being said, I would love a couple of really tiny dolls (maybe PukiPuki or Lati White size) because having a dollhouse would be really cool.

    2. I like just about any size as I have dolls as small as 12 cm up to SD17 (65 cm). But with smaller size dolls I prefer mature or anthro type sculpts as I don't really care much for the toddler/baby looks of the smaller dolls. I love some of the 70+ cm dolls, but they are just too big for me to handle as experience has shown. :sweat

    3. I tend to flip flop between big and small dolls, from big 70+ cm to small yo-sd. It really depends on the sculpt and everything.
For a while I will be completly convinced that big dolls are it for me and then I'll just go back to preferring the small ones.
Because of this my collection is just a mish-mash of sizes, but I like it that way.

    4. I am still figuring out my perfect size. I love SD sized dolls, but I haven't gotten any resin SDs because I'm afraid that they might be too heavy for me to really enjoy. I do know that YoSDs and smaller are just too tiny for me. They are adorable but far too small for me to comfortably craft for.

I have a feeling that MSD size might be the best size for me. I've had dolls that size my whole life, so they don't feel special to me which is why I haven't gotten one that size and have been actively avoiding that size. But, I have been looking into Volks' Dear SD size and that might be perfect for me. Big enough to wear nice SD sized clothing (for the most part), but short enough to be MSD size. Big enough to have a presence, but small enough to be easy to carry around and craft for.
