Junga D Skull Discussion

I was wondering if they'd arrived! Mine's in Chicago already so I figured yours had to be home...Yay!!
Lol They're cute!! i can't wait to see them finished.
Definitely small for a 70cm body. I hope they work on my 59cm one...

 

The Angel Street body is supposedly 60cm with head on. (Too lazy to go measure.)

EriChanHime - that teeny skull is adorable! Yay! You got two? How are you planning to paint them up?

Yep, they're adorable, but definitely not 70cm size. They'll be going on the 43cm JID bodies I have, but I don't mind if they end up looking just a little big. 60cm might be about perfect in terms of actually being proportioned correctly. Their faces are really small compared to their head size, though. It's interesting.

Aernath, I'm planning to paint one in a normal skull/zombie kind of way (that'll be the boy), and then the other one I plan to do as a Dia de los Muertos skull (for the girl). It'll probably take me a little while to plan the design, but I have some parts worked out already.

 

Mine came today!! It's so cute lol!!! and I also got the free tiny skull! X33 also adorable. I tried it on my B&G body and it's perfect proportionately but doesn't fit neck-wise, which I kind of thought :P So I have to keep looking. I'm only a little bummed, I was hoping i could use it at least temporarily. But it's ok, he's going to float some anyway in order to fill his other character!

I can't wait to work on him, he's so different!!

If anyone has a Resinsoul body they can try their skull on, I would be so grateful!!

 

So glad it got to you safely! I can't wait to see pictures. I spray sealed mine tonight, so hopefully over the weekend I'll be able to start working on them. I sealed the little one, too, so it will be getting a matching mini-face-up. *smirk*

 

Wow it's been awhile since this was updated D:

but I have a picture (finally. It's bad though) of my skull, Bob (yes, Bob), who has actually been done for months lol and I just didn't get around to taking any pictures! I still didn't, but at least you can actually tell what it looks like. Bob usually hangs out with my Tinies, he likes to go to meets and look creepy. I'm hoping he fits on a Doll Chateau body because I'd love to get one that would be my character Sammael, the angel of death, who sometimes looks all skull-like. DC are so skinny...it would make a perfect Sammael!!

Sorry! I just looked into it for you. I remembered seeing this news update about the skull being sold on Notdoll instead of Junga Toy:

But then it looks like the Notdoll site is down.
So I did a quick feedback search in the companies' section, and it doesn't look good. Here's the last entry for them:

So I would say, keep an eye out in the marketplace, or put up a WTB thread there.

Thanks aernath. I was afraid that was the answer. I first saw one on deviantArt and wanted to buy one, but though I placed an order they cancelled it and refunded my money saying it was sold out. I guess my timing was right at the point the company was taking a nosedive. I guess I'll have to keep my eye out on the secondary market.

My two finally have face-ups! From the lovely Minda on DOA. I have yet to put them on bodies, but they look pretty awesome just sitting there. They were done in the Day of the Dead (El Dia de los Muertos) style. Their little teeth are even metalic gold. SO CUTE!

I knew I'd seen those somewhere. I came across them while I was looking at the pet dolls. Ah, why must I be broke. I'd buy it just so I could give it a face up and use it as a decoration, mostly because I can't think of a character I'd make for him.

They have that basic base with just the eye holes as well... Reminds me of an alien (and kinda made me want to do a Centaur BJD mod with that head to make Ax (from Animorphs if anyone remembers him))

i have 2 of the skulls and they are both on the larger bodies, they do work better on the smaller sd and are not good on the larger sd size! larger msd size also works and looks so cute too!
my girl is on an aod sd and my boy he is on a volks sd body - the neck is not a good fit on the volks but on the aod its perfect, but i put a scarf around that and it hides that issue! ive also bought other junga toy items like the female head and a head stand, i really love their stuff! its good to know that their items are still for sale out there.

 

I have my boy on an Fantasy doll boy body. The neck is a bit long, but with all the neck ruffles he wears, it isn't too noticeable.
