It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Junga D Skull Discussion

Jul 27, 2010

    1. Just ran over there to take a look. I'm so excited about mine now. I got some dead flower arrangements today to put around his cage. It actually looks prettier than I intended it to. *_* Well I can spook it up some more I'm sure.

Congrats to you for getting Dee home. Can't wait to see her completed.

    2. this is awesome!

is it me or does it scream TARMAN from ROTLD??

      *BRAINS*

    3. I have finished the faceup for Morticia McAbre today, still so much to do (I want to order a pink/lavender wig for her, her eyes are coming soon - I hope, and she'll need a body and lots of clothes)

    4. I think the hand was meant to be a base for modeling your own hand; same as the head bases they sell. Using hot water the fingers can be moved into any position you want.
It just accidentally doubles as a skeleton hand.
      Still fascinating tough...

      Has anybody bought them yet?

    5. Sadomina: She looks absolutely gruesome! And I mean that in the nicest way. :fangirl: Very, very effective!
What body are you thinking of getting?

    6. oh my goodness that is so cute.. I like the animated gif that they did as well lol...I could totally see someone do a awesome airbrush job on him...

    7. I love these little skulls so much. I actually have a full human-sized skeleton model (like you see at universities), and it would be fun to get him a little skeleton BJD friend. However, they are still a little too pricey for me to buy it for no set reason. Sadomina, I love your face-up. It's extremely dramatic, and reminds of Mexican Day of the Dead art. Very spiffy. ;)

    8. :D I just ordered one of these today...anyone still in this thread? :3

    9. Yay! Go, Vampire Angel! I just ordered a pair on the 22nd. EMS tells me they are currently at the Chicago airport. What are you planning to do with yours? I want one traditional skull, a little on the zombie-ish side, and one Dia de los Muertos skull, with fun colors and pretty decorations, like the mini sugar ones decorated with frosting (fun to make, but you definitely don't wanna eat them. Blech!)

    10. oh that sounds awesome EriChanHime! I can't wait to see them finished! Especially the Dia de los Muertos skull. Who doesn't love a sugar skull?? And how fun will that be to paint??

I'm using mine for two "characters" in a way. In one of my short stories my characters find a skull, and the main one keeps it around pretty much forever, so I've been wanting a BJD sized skull for a while now as a prop. I also have two Angels of Death, one is the "baby" (Azrael) and one is the evil fallen one Azrael is supposed to be replacing...Sammael is human looking but goes all skull-faced at times - because that image had to come from somewhere - so I'll be getting it a body and it will double as Sammael for some creepy photos as I have Azrael at home already.... If that works out, I'll get him a human head too and switch them out every once in a while. I'm excited, I think it will be fun to play around with! I just don't know how to tackle the eyes...I don't want it to have any, just empty, black sockets XD

Jungatoy is a great company....only one order and they impressed me completely! I uh, accidentally ordered two instead of one (don't ask XD) and Kim got back to me immediately with help. And then said my skull would be shipping soon and I should have it in about 5 days!! How awesome is that? X3

    11. Very spiffy. I'm quite impressed with their shipping speed. I didn't need to contact them, but others have said they are quite helpful. I love characters with skull faces, and plan to swap mine out with normal-headed dolls just for giggles (no OC's, I just love skeletons).

VampireAngel, I don't remember whether I saw it here or on their website, but if you like the hollow eyes, paint the entire inside of the skull and headcap black (they used fabric, but that would shift too much, I think), and you probably won't have to add eyes at all. :)

    12. I think they're really cool, I wouldn't get one though lol. :)

    13. Painting the inside is a good idea...I'd have to spray the inside lol I've never done that before! fabric is a good idea too because the right kind wouldn't reflect any light and that would actually be awesome. I might try that too. It can be tacked down with glue and then it wouldn't shift at all! Now I'm really excited to get my skull head. I've been looking at bodies but I need to stop. I need to see it in person first, before making any rash purchases lol

    14. and now it's on shipping!!!

    15. Hooray! Yeah, I think when I first read fabric, I was thinking they just stuffed it in the head, but I bet if you made circles a bit bigger than the size of the eye sockets, and then glued (or something) them around the inner eyes, they would hold nicely, and have some good depth still. And I know what you mean about the bodies. I will either be sticking them on two SD's or two Iplehouse JID's, depending on how big the heads turn out to actually be. :)

    16. Yeah, they say SD on Jungatoy's site, but it seems like a lot of people have them on MSD bodies. I'm kind of used to tiny heads though so I doubt I'll care too much if they're not huge...and I really want a super-skinny body to put it on anyway!

    17. I have mine on an Angel Street SD body. It works nicely. :)
I don't know where Jungatoy is getting the idea that it's an SD sized head, but it seems a bit in-between the two sizes. A little big for MSD, and a little small for SD. So it works okay on the JID body which is a little bigger MSD body, and good on the Angel Street body that is a little smaller SD body.
I'm finally getting supplies together to work on my Muerto. I'm hoping I'll get him done by Halloween! :sweat

    18. How tall is an Angel Street body aernath? I have a B&G Boy body laying around that I can't get rid of, so if I can get it on that for now it'll work, but I'd like something taller if possible.
I wonder if it's smaller than a Dollmore head?? They're teeny...at least that's what my friends keep telling me, that I like small heads XD

Did anyone else name theirs Bob??

    19. My skulls arrived today! I'm so happy! It took a bit longer than expected, but they sent me some free metallic powder and one of the little F skulls. It makes a cute little shoulder pet. My smaller JID bodies are unstrung for blushing and face ups, but once those are finished, I'll take better pictures. This is a 70 cm DZ Yuu body. (The little skull is perched on his hand; sorry for the washed-out cell phone pic; I couldn't wait) Hooray!
