1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Junior Delf Discussion

1. Yes he was sadly not very popular it seems. It took me months of searching to find my second JDF1 head but he is definitely worth it. I love him so much. I'm not sure how many are out there and there are sure to be some that no one has mentioned.

I don't have a KDF of my own yet but my Maska elf boy is on his way home at this moment so he should be here any day. He should actually be here tomorrow but I will be at work and not here to receive him. We actually joke that my Terra and my friend's KDF Aru are brothers. They look so much alike at least partially because they have similar wigs and eyes. I don't have any pictures of them together though.

2. iris0110: Fellow Maska owner! :) (or future owner?) I've seen you in the Waiting Room thread. I hope he arrives soon! I hadn't thought of Aru and Terra looking alike, but I bet the wig and eyes would do it.

StarsOfCASi: That sounds like a good plan. :) I won't have Aru until August, I think, but I will definitely post bunches of pictures when she gets here. ^_^ I probably won't have a JDF until next year, but when I do have one I'll do a full size comparison shoot! >.< It's sad how few pictures there are of JDFs and KDFs together.

3. Alright, this is my first time on this thread. Hello, and thank you for all the lovely spam and info! I have been wanting to get a Terra for so so soooo long now! I missed out on the New Year's event discount and now I am hearing about the Summer event. Can someone fill me in on the summer event? THANKS! :)

4. OH, hai.... I didn't even know this thread existed -_-; ('tis 13thMuse's fault I found it, though. So, if you hate me, blame her. XD) I have a small question that probably no one can answer, but I'm going to ask it anyways (I asked the Luts waiting room, then found this, so I figured, what the heck? I'll ask here too!) so, um, I was looking at Little Monica Crow, and I liked him, but he seemed just a bit too tall for my liking, so my sister told me 'why don't you get a Crow head, and then put it on a Junior Delf body?' so I was like 'O.O That could work...? SERIOUSLY???' so now I'm wondering, if when I someday happen to get a Crow head, would it possibly work on a JDF body? or should I just go 'to heck with it!' and drop him off my want list (Or, you know, just get him big >.>') I've checked, and the head sizes are actually pretty similar, so I guess I'm asking; are JDF bodies better then Little Monica bodies...? /end long stupid... thing/

... But just watch, I'd end up getting a JDF to go with my JDF sized Crow... Thing. XD

5. Hello~How~Are~You, I wish I could offer advice on that! >.< I have no idea. ^^;

13thMuse- Looking at the money I have now and what-not, I'll probably end up with my boy at the same time, lol. xD Yay summer!

Very excited though- just jumped on the Luts group order that Forbidden is running, so I can have the wig/shoes/eyes for my boy in advance! <3

6. 13thMuse - Thank you very much! Oh, I am so hoping that they offer a rock'n discount like they did for this last winter event.

7. I wanna take spam pics, but I'm stuck at school... *grumbles*

I has a Terra spam.

8. StarsOfCASi: yay! We can swap new doll pics. :) And having stuff in advance is always good; it's really awkward to have to introduce people to a naked doll. >_>

AmoraSeth: I hope so too! >.<

Nasa: We want to see spam pics! Maybe you'll have time later.

9. Whoo, yay Nasa! ^^ Tohru looks epic. :D

AmoraSeth, that would be awesome. @.@

13thMuse- Augh YES you're so right! My first doll essentially had to stay in the box for a day or two before I could play with her, because it was Christmas when I got her and I hadn't found spare time to finish her shirt! (Didn't help that she didn't have a wig at that point either... ^^;).

I'm hoping to get some free time next week and for a while after until swimming restarts, which I can hopefully use for sewing! I have one MSD project going I want to finish first, but I should be able to at least pattern out clothes for my future Nihal with the online measurements. :D Definitely want to make sure he has clothes when he gets home!

10. Nasa -Thank you for the Terra spam. I love this mold!

Can I make a request for a Terra spam-fest???

11. I can do Dreaming Terra. ;D

12. Dreaming Terra spam is equally fantastic! <3

Oh, while we're talking about photos- for those of you who already have your dolls, how well do they pose? Any troubles at all? Did some joints need sueding to work well for you? Was restringing necessary? (Just trying to get an image of what kind of work I'll have to do when he shows up, lol).

13. ^^ Thanks guys!
Tohru: *preens*

Actually, have a whole gallery

Stars:
Funny you should mention it, I've actually got a small posing thing
here. I've since discovered that he has a piece in his chest that keeps him from slouching a whole lot. I'm not sure what purpose it serves, but I've seen a couple people who've had it just randomly pop out and it doesn't seem to affect anything *shrugs*

Toh
ru came to me pretty strung tight, he did (and still kind of does) have a tendency to randomly "bow" (or moon people, whichever). I'll have had him for a year in July, and he's definitely loosened up. He still stands well, though it takes a bit of fiddling, and occasionally he'll just want to flop into my arms.

I've neve
r felt that he needed sueding or kipping, but if you like your dolls looser, you'll want to get some more elastic, because they come tiiiiight and there isn't enough extra to just loosen what they come with.

14. Thanks! <3

And re: Posing

I haven't sueded my boy, but I did wire his arms because the joints in them are odd and can only be pulled into a position where his hands are nowhere near his face without the extra stability. The legs are stable for standing and he does a good job sitting up, but as others have mentioned, he likes to sit with his legs spread and unless you can maneuver him into unlocking his upper-thigh joint (which is hard for me with pants on him) he won't cross them, wants to keep snapping back into his default sitting pose. Mine slumps nicely, because I've removed the piece in his torso that would prevent that range of motion (in the name of not letting his torso gap, I'm assuming, though I don't much mind that). He can do a lot of amazing poses one he's maneuvered into them, but he lacks the fluidity of movement of the larger SDFs and SSDFs.

Don't let any of that discourage you, though. He's the nicest poser in his size-range I've played with.

15. Thank you all for the lovely spam! I really can’t wait to bring this boy home. But I am forcing myself for a good Luts promo.

It is good to hear about the body possibility as well. I am confused by this inner torso mechanism you all speak of; I will just have to see that in person. I am glad to hear that he sits and stands pretty well. I really have no experience with Luts doll. I did purchase a Dreaming Cherry off the forum, but I sent her out immediately for a face up and body blushing (that is the extent of my Luts experience thus far). I have heard that the Luts are on the slimmer side. Are the JDFs pretty slim? They look so delicate, I love it!

16. They're skinny enough that I had to move the snaps on a pair of Delf girl pants for mine. He has no bum in comparison to the Delfs, so he can't share most of my other boys' clothes.

17. I might be able to help you here since I own both a LM boy and a couple of JDF boys. Are JDF bodies better? That is really a matter of opinion. I am preferential to larger dolls personally and my favorite doll is a draw between Aric my LM boy and Noble my DZ 70cm boy (who is also my oldest doll, almost 3 years in my home now). I like the feel of a big doll. I would say that both LM and JDF have similar posing capabilities and my LM poses like a rock. My LM boy can actually stand while holding my JDF boy in his arms. I also love the look of the LM body. So again, matter of opinion on which is better.

As to whether you can put the head on the other body that is a little tricky. I can put my JDF event 1 head on my LM body and it looks fine, but for some reason when I put my Dyuke head on my JDF body it looks odd. I do not own a Crow though so I don't know how that would look. The heads are roughly the same size. With LM the proportions of the head to body and then the face are a bit more realistic than with Luts, you don't get the bigger faces and giant eyes as much. You might browse the picture request threads and see if anyone has any, or make the request yourself. The best I can offer is to do a head swap with my boys and take pictures to show you. It might at least give you an idea but like I said it can vary head to head.

13th Muse: Hello there! Leander managed to make it home today, I picked him up from the PO. I want to give him a face up tomorrow but it will depend on the weather. They are calling for storms starting tonight. Even if I don't get to do that I think I will do a little size comparison for everyone. I now have almost every size of Luts doll at home. I think I may have a slight addiction 0_o All I am missing is an actual SDF and a SSDF. My SDF head is on a Popodoll body. But I will compare HDF, KDF and JDF anyway. Maybe even Delf for fun.

StarsOfCasi, I had to suede my boys hips especially to get them to stand well. Also there is the piece in the torso that the others have mentioned. I have been meaning to find the time to take my boys apart and try to remove it. Other wise I am very fond of these bodies. I am a big fan of Luts dolls in general.

18. Re:posing Thank you so very much, everybody! So other than that torso piece thing, they seem to pose fantastically. :) Brilliant! Very glad to hear that!

Iris0110, I hope the weather cooperates for you! I know where I am, we're supposed to have rain all week, a sunny weekend, and then rain again all throughout the week! Crazy, right?

Also YAY this thread is really becoming active! :D This is so great. <3
