You could always send the head to a face-up artist who can airbrush/blush the head to match the body you choose.

Also, I don't really think of yellow/pink descriptions that way, I think of it more as like when you're talking about your undertones when selecting a foundation. For instance, I'm white, but I have yellow undertones in my skin. Actually the description "normal skin" bothers me more than anything when it comes to BJDs.

 

Hello dears!

I just got my lovely Bambi senior head and now I'm in search of a body. I was taking a look at April story as their 13 year body looks good to me but I'm not sure about the resin color or if the size would look good. Bambi looks as big as mi Rusi from Switch (and I would love to get a body like the one my Rusi has, but Infinitidoll is not available anymore )

Any suggestions for my girl?

I got in on the Eden pre-order as well. I'm hoping he can share the ns classydoll 66cm body I have. I'm not completely sure that he is going to be right for the character, but it looks like the eden head might fit in better scale wise with my Dollstown girls than the Leeke Alex who is currently that character. The Leeke head has a strangely small face :/

In any case Kana's sculpts are beautiful so even if it doesn't work out, I will have had the chance to see a great head in person

 

my Eden arrive today! It's a beautiful head in person, so detailed and well balanced. I'm trying not to make any final decisions until I see him all painted up and put together, but I'm disappointed in how small the head is. The rest of my crew is a totally different scale

 

Eden is indeed very small. I was surprised at how small he is when I opened his box. I don't even own any 12mm eyes and I think 14mm may be too big for him T_T.

 

I also got my eden head about a month ago and I love him a ton already! even though he's still blank...
Im just afraid he will look too much like my mars when Im done with him T_T

 

I painted mine in the first week of having it, and now I'm realizing that I never got any photos of it to share... If it clears up in the next day or two I will absolutely do that. I haven't seen anyone else's Eden, either I think.

Also, I was sure it was absolutely a boy head when it arrived, but after painting it and storing it a while, I absolutely think it works as agender/strong featured girl as well. Maybe it's just the faceup I gave it though, idk

 

Would anyone with an Adrian head be willing to measure the exact head and neck circumferences? I'd like to see if it's suitable for a shorter hybrid. Thanks in advance

My Adrian boys are away at the moment but I hope the following information helps: titytetee's Adrian in NS is on a Little Monica Harmony Boy NS body, if I recall correctly the skin tone matched quite well and no mods required. The LM Harmony Boy body (on their website) height without head is 54.8cm, shoulder width 14cm and the neck circumference is 10.4cm, so Adrian will probably be around 59-60cm in height. So far, this is the shortest hybrid I have seen since most owners put him in 62-65cm bodies (such as SD17 and Switch 65). And Adrian's head fits comfortably in a 8-9 inch wig.

 

@pliskatesky Thanks so much! Unfortunately I'm considering a much shorter body, closer to 50cm. I've done it before with one of the smaller Switch heads and it worked out, but I can't find any precise info on Adrian's measurements. I know I'm asking a lot, but when they return could you do a rough measurement to see if they're more or less than 8.5 inches? My planned hybrid will look pretty awful if it's on the upper end of 8-9 inches. I'd be incredibly grateful.

To be exact, my boys are on their way for their face-up, so it might take a while, probably a few weeks. But I am happy to provide measurements for you as soon as possible and in my best ability. And if anyone here can help you before me, that is great too.

Hi, I'm new in the thread. I have been thinking about buying an Eden head from the September preorder. But I don't know... There's just a few Edens on Instagram and Flickr and would like to see him from other perspectives. And I'm a bit worried to read here that Eden head is small. It is smaller than Adrian? I'm thinking about hybrid him on a Popodoll 68 body.

@milkyselenite My boys are back today! I measured the head and the neck with a tailor/stringy tape, so the measurements are:

Head circumference: 8.75 inch/22 cm
Neck circumference (measured at the top crater): 4.25 inch/10.5 cm

@pliskatesky You are the best!! I can't thank you enough. That head circumference is just barely out of range for the hybrid I have in mind... but I love the Adrian sculpt too damn much. I'll just take the risk and re-sell the head if it's too disproportionate. Thanks again for helping me make an informed decision.

 

@milkyselenite Just go for it! I agree, the Adrian sculpt is so pretty that I own two of them It's very easy to re-sell the head in my opinion because it's just a fabulous sculpt that many people want. Anyways, I hope the hybrid works out well for you
