    4. Great fall colors, and I love the kids. Cinny is still one of my favorites.

    5. What pretty little pumpkin gatherers they all are! I always love your photos.

    6. Wow, it's been forever since anyone posted here. So I'll remedy that with something reasonably new....

    9. Beautiful photos! That's a fantastic family of KW kids you have there, and all so beautifully dressed too!

    10. Thank you! I really like Kaye's earlier sculpts, especially in the smaller sizes. They are so much easier to photograph and sew for.

This is my Mini Layla and I really love her, but I have been wondering if any others feel as I do about her hands? I've never been over the moon about them and have recently been debating about changing them. Has anyone done this?

    12. Not on a Kaye Wiggs doll - I like the hands on them) but on one of my other tinies (after a finger got broken when she fell onto a cobbled street during a photoshoot). The original company was willing to replace the hand, but onluy if I sent them the doll!! I wias wiling to send the broken hand but not the whole doll, so I looked for alternative hands elsewhere.

It was a matter of finding a company that did dolls of the right size in comparable skintones, and who sold hands separately. Which might be a whole lot easier these days, given there are a lot more BJD companies and varieties of size out there now than there were fifteen or so years ago when I did it.

Good hunting, if you decide to give it a try.

    13. @Teddy Still haven't done anything about her hands, but there's no immediate hurry. She's been living with those hands for years and I know what I'm like at putting off restringing dolls, so I doubt if I'll be changing them any time soon.

    14. {Laugh!} It's taken me a couple of years to get around to stocking up on more elastic for restringing and a doll that's been waiting that long has finally had his dead elastic removed, only to sit for over a week in pieces on the spare bed waiting for me to get around to actually stringing him again.

    15. @Teddy Seems we both procrastinate far too much. Still we have plenty of other dolls to fill up that space in time.
