OMG My Millie Came! You are going to simply die of awe when you get yours! OMG! Just a quick late night pic, but Please Welcome my Maya - the spell is cast!

 

LOL Wally - They are Happily chattering away as we speak! Look at how adorably Maya holds little Tiggs! I do think Tiggs is quite enamored of her, and oh the sweetness in Maya.

I got her just before work tonight, so I couldnt do anything with her, she was just naked and eyeless and looked sort of miffed. But I got her home and just cant get over how much sweeter she looks as she and Tiggs are together - Omg, you are so going to love these dolls!

I really wasnt sure when I first saw her, then an eyelash was falling out, and I mucked that trying to reglue it - with tacky glue applied with a scrap of paper??!!! OMG! But even with all my Newb fiascos, by the minute, she seems to grow warmer and more settled in, and sweeter. You are going to die of awe when yours come! And clearly they are truly on the way now!

 

Dollzwize, I use the "clear gel" Aileens tacky glue, and toothpicks-one to put the glue on the lash and a clean one to press it into place on the eyelid. I have found some eyelashes at DDE that don't have the "sticky" on the wrong side of the lash and it does make it way easier to apply them. Before I put the glue on, I cut them to length and roll them around the stem of a toothpick to give them a "curve". I do like the "clear gel" better than the white Aileens...but it's still a bugger to apply lashes...

Ok, so looks like maybe a couple more weeks before fair skin millie arrives here, but we're getting really close now!

 

Thank you Wilkies - I am so tickled you like her - you have one coming too right?!!! I so HOpe!!! She is utterly irresistable, I cant put her down. Its a really neat size, though we will have to all put our heads together on clothes and patterns and such!

Wally Thanks so much for the eyelash advice, I really wasnt sure what to use. I really appreciate your help on this. They look so lovely on her, but do come dislodged when putting in the eyes. One person lost one already. Grace is terrific about replacing, but we probably should all reinforce them when they arrive. I am on the fence as to whether I will or whether I will just have her go lashless when they do fall off. I like playing with my dolls and lashes, though lovely, do seem to be something I might consider just letting her be without if it comes to that. In the meantime I am taking lots of pics coz she poses like a dream, stands like a rock and is so freaking Fun to play with!


Oh Lany - so Happy you have one coming TOO!!! I do agree, Tiggs just does steal the show to me no matter what!

Oh Wow! I had totally lost track of this thread! Hi Peeps! has anyone gotten their fair Millies yet? Any other tan Millies to play?! Thanks so Much for Lovin Maya, I am mesmerized by her, and indeed Tiggy adores her too!


I have been playing around some with wigs, I have no idea where I got this short one, but I just love how Indian she looks. I am planning on making a crochet one for her because I found some lovely yarn to try out. I took off her eyelashes, its just more fun for me to play with and cuddle her without worrying about them. I think she looks younger and so mesmerizing. Hope yours come to play soon!!!

I made Maya a new wig tonight, I so wish you could see how it sparkles! Will have to get a sunny pic tomorrow!

Yep, its a sparkly eyelash yarn I made her a wig from. I saw it in the yarn shop and was like OMG - thats IT!

My Millie arrived yesterday, and she is awesome!! Unfortunately her wig has not arrived yet, so she had to borrow one that a little too big, but I wanted to post a quick pics

She has borrowed a Little Fee outfit, which fits her like a glove although she is skinnier and taller, it will depend on the outfit.

Thank you, she is cute, and I love the feel of the resin, it is so silky!

I don't mean to mislead you about the Little Fee outfits...this one fits, but I am sure that anything that needs to be more fitted to her shape, like a skirt, would be too big in the waist, and possibly too short. It will depend on the style as she is pretty skinny! The LTF bloomers and stockings are actually too big, but the elastic in the legs is holding everything up

Her feet are very near the same size as LTF. These shoes are just a little too long on my Little Fee, and about the same on Millie.

Have fun trying outfits on her!

 

Oooooh SC, your Fair Millie is so Lovely!!! Its so true that its kind of hit or miss what fits. I sqouze her feets into Goodreau shoes and ordered the whole lot of them as they do fit, albeit very snugly.


Quick blurry shot of Maya in a mix of things, I so love this Agnes Dreary outer dress, though Maya's feet would never fit thru the leg or arm openings of the body suit, so I think thats a Goodreau black shirt underneath, a tad large for her. But those shoes just slay me!

I would think Lillie would be on topic as she is merely a small Annabella

 

Sweet Creations, I'm so amused by your use of a ball of tissue to hold in Millie's eyes. What we won't do to find a way around problems with our beloved dolls.

My two Millies arrived on Saturday, so of course I have to post some pics!

They're still bargaining over who will keep the name Millie and what the other name will be. Let's see... Tillie and Lillie are taken. Hmmm. How about Sillie or Fillie or Dillie? Maybe not.

 

Speaking of 'Sillie', we are still waiting on the proper wig but Millie wanted to try on Secret's wig...... the result?

I gotta laugh because when my hubby brought me my Millie when she came as we had to race to DC, the only thing I had to put in her eyes with was the packing paper too!!! Desperation is truly the mother of Invention!

Ooooh more Millies!!! Sfbeck Heavens your crew are so wonderful in their adorable outfits!!!! You seem to already have tons of trendy cool things for them - did you make them or adapt them from other dolls?

I got a Huge box from Goodreau today, I had bought more shoes and she threw in all sorts of goodies. Many of the 8" doll clothes work for her and Oh Heavens I soooo Love this dolly!

My Millie is here! Her name is Valentina

I still haven't got her definitve wig, nor clothes or shoes. I made this dress last summer (no patterns, just the official measurements and some illusion, hehehe). It isn't finished yet (must fix the straps and set the back closure), but I'm pretty happy about it, cause it's the first dress I ever do using my sewing machine (and the third dress I ever make), though I wanted it to be a little shorter, sigh...

i'm getting a millie in january, so thanks so much for these measurements!

Millie and Willie ventured outside today for their first snow experience. I'm not sure they liked it, since they were kind of stiff and didn't loosen up or smile. They like their coats and matching purses, though they stayed on the cleared walks without even making a snow ball!

 

Love the adorable clothing they are wearing!! I'm sure they need their mittens and hats with all that snow!!

 

Awww, look at the 'snow bunnies', they are so cute in those outfits Sharlene!

By the way, I tested two more of the Little Fee outfits I made on Millie yesterday, and they fit very well. A simple snap adjustment would fix the bodice, but not necessary, and of course you must watch the length since Millie is taller. ​

However my darling Millie assured me that this one was NOT too short for her ...​
