Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.       I tried to order one of the dolls but I can't check out! I selected North America for my "Shipping Area" as I live in Canada, then entered my zip code, which contains alphanumeric digits, I press next and it tells me "Zip code must be a number". <_< ;; Not sure what I should do. Maybe I'll just leave a comment in the notes box and include my proper zip.

      *** Please understand that all Chinese Characters do have one or multiple meanings; however, when the characters are combined together to make names, the literal translations do not equal the meaning of the name. Often they (the Chinese Characters) are chosen because they sound cool together and the look of the Chinese Characters (yes, the way how the words appears) is cool (for those who study Chinese or Kanji, you know what I mean). A lot of times, Chinese Names can be very strange if you try to translate each Character. The names of other Chinese BJD Companies are not translated literary so we should do the same for these boys.

      Name: &#23428; (Gui) - the word does mean "traitor" but does not mean that he is one

      Name: &#21271;&#28319;&#29572;&#26122; (Bei Ming - Xuan Hao) here the Bei Ming (northern darkness)is his last name and the Xuan Hao (profound Heaven) is his first name.

      Name: &#37324;&#22887;&#8226;&#32645;&#29305; Leonardo (yes, this dude is with a Western name, the sound of Leonardo is written in Chinese Characters when said together sound like Leonardo..... Same effect as Katagana in Japanese for those who are familiar with Japanese)

      Name: &#36196;&#33980;&#40659; (Chi Cang Yi) here, ChiCang is more like his last name, he has a one character first name

      Name: &#38750;&#22825;&#31145; (Fei Ten - Si) - Fei Ten is often used in Chinese Martial Art novels, it means against heaven (to hint someone is fighting against the will of the heaven or not following the wills of the heaven) - not "non-sky"

      Name: &#29428;&#29364; (Bi Jian)

      I've been waiting for this. I was sure my machine translations were rather off, especially as one translation came up sounding more Japanese than Chinese, which confused me. XD Chinese Characters can often be pronounced many ways, and sometimes there's no way to be sure which exact pronunciation was intended until the one who chose them tells you. X3

    11. Well, I am not exactly related to the company that makes the dolls, so I am not sure if what I posted it can be called "Official Translation" LOL But I do speak Chinese, so I am pretty confident what I posted is in fact what they have intended.


      Yes, the same Chinese Character has many different pronunciation depending on which Chinese Dialect you are using. I went with the Mandarin Pronunciation here since that is the official Language.

      Just a side note, the sculptor for the head mold is the same sculptor who carved the handsome red-headed guy featured in my avatar. This project is something that they have been working on since the beginning of last year, so I am happy to see how they turned out.

      Based on what I was told these are being sold as BJD that wears wigs. But depending on what the final words, they may have slightly different versions of full sets (more for hardcore Pili fans) available - for these the hairs are actually implanted (or glued one). I have pictures, until the official words, I will not be able to share them yet.
