I swear Julia is killing me with these.

 

This is crazy because I really wanted Edria and missed the ordering period! I will be scooping up either a half closed or an open eyed... ^^ So excited!!

 

Ugh, I totally love Edria. Perhaps my second favourite sculpt of all time. I can't actually think of a number one, but Edria, for her age, is super prominent in my mind. One of the most realistic, prettiest faces I've seen! Too bad I can't pick up more of her, though it's good news she'll be released again!

 

I just got an e-mail from miho regarding tan-skin Edria:
"Thank you for your attention!

we do not have plan of tan Edria, since the demand of tan girl is so limited
we need more than 10 head order in Tan to make order to the factory.

I'm so sorry but unless we collect 10+ tan edria head order, we will not make the head in tan skintone."

Oh well, I'll try to collect 10+ people then. I need this head in tan ; w;

 

The pictures for open eyes Edria are up on the website for teaser. And wow, I was going to get her blank...but her faceup is so stunning....I'm captivated. My man said he'd buy her for me, and I'm absolutely drooling. Can you buy her with faceup or no ?? I'm not sure, I'd love to..

 

So far Julia hasn't offered any of the heads with a faceup, they've all come blank.

 

Aw man. Do you think if I emailed her, they could? I'm not sure if that would be rude or not.

 

As far as I know, Julia only does the faceups for her personal collection of dolls, but I don't think it could hurt to politely ask about it via email, since you'd be willing to pay for the faceup (kind of like a commission) and it's an expression of your admiration of her artistic talent.

(Also, yay, you're in Los Angeles too? 8D)

 

I agree with meili-melee. I think she would be flattered by your interest if you ask. The worst outcome is a no. I don't blame you, that faceup is gorgeous! Hey, I'm in LA also, lots of Edria fans here I guess. Maybe we should have an Edria & friends meetup after the next release!

 

Now I wish I lived in L.A.! I would love to see more Edrias!

 

I would totally be up to that (Is also in L.A.^_^). Although my Edria has no body or faceup. ^_^;;

 

LOL, no face up here yet and she has stolen Jessicas IH Elder body that has too big a neck. I still don't know what I want to do with her. I think I am sort of wating for the open eye version and do them as sisters. That is why I was thinking we should do something after we have some time to play with the new open eye heads. So happy to hear so fast that you guys are into a meetup! Hope they are for sale soon!

 

Hey, Lace Princess!

Don't you also have a Leira coming? I was wondering if you could do me a small favour -- I would love some comparison photos between the two sculpts (LLT Edria and Leira), with the nude heads, head on shots, profile, etc (don't really care about the skin tone, though!) - and if you'd take some pictures for me, I'd really, really appreciate it!

My own Edria also doesn't have a face-up, yet. He is going to be dyed red, like my incoming Soom Trachy.

 

I'm so glad to hear that there are so many of us in LA! A meetup would be awesome. Although I don't own an Edria, I do have a Roderich, and the open-eyed Edria head is seriously making me consider. (Ludwig is driving me bonkers with anticipation as well.) Do you guys think an Edria head would work well on a Popodoll 65/68cm girl body, in terms of proportions and/or resin match?

 

I think I'm going to email her and ask, your right the worst she can say is no!

No problem, happy to do it for you, can't wait to see the two together too! I won't have Leira until end of August. I feel it is the least I can do after snagging Leira. I did look for over a year and am paying a ubsurd amount of $$$ for her, but I still wish one for you too! We must have similar taste in dolls cuz I just love little red demon Trachy too, just can't have them all.
The more I look at Julia's faceup on open eyed Edria the more I love this sculpt!

 

Thank you very much! It's appreciated, for sure -- are you the one who picked up Tskui's Leira? I was offered the same doll, but couldn't pay on such a short Layaway, and the owner was reluctant to have the doll modified, which I would be doing (of course!). Actually, it worked out for the better, what with my cat suddenly taking ill the way he did, and needing a visit to the vet. I wouldn't've been able to afford her, anyway. I'm glad you found yours, though! Super glad!

I actually do think we have similar tastes, which is definitely a good thing! I see you popping up in all the threads I like to frequent, so it's nice to see a familiar face! I like the open eyed head, but I'm glad I got the dreamy one. Edria looks so sly -- perfect for my demon character!

 

There's another member who has an Edria boy who looks so nice. Had me rethinking buying two more Edria heads to be my Roderich twins younger selves.

 

Oh, that would be lovely! Do you have a link to the boy? I'd like to see him, especially if he's face-upped!
