La Légende de Temps - Edria

I finally finished my NS open eye Edria. I named her Cecily. I have her on a SD16 body. It's an excellent head/neck fit. Absolutely no adjustment needed. The body is a tad more yellow than Edria's head. But not so much that it bothers me. And if the resin were really off, it would bother me. So I can live with this for a while. I like the proportions. Though, honestly, the SD16 isn't my favorite body. I might sell it and go on a hunt for something else for Cecily.

I posted in the Gallery pictures of all three of my Edrias if you'd like to take a look. But thought I'd share this picture of open eye Edria as I'm not sure if there are many finished yet or not.

Oh Jay she is gorgeous, she is the mystery face in your gallery that I couldn't recognise. I second wanting to see pics of the dark faceup as I have one on order.

 

Did anyone received their dollies yet? I didn't hear anything from LLT, even though i send them few emails. Maybe they still celebrating their New Year?

 

I'm still waiting for mine and it's been way past the 35+ working days. I think they're still celebrating the New Years. It doesn't end until February, I think.

Wow, I had no idea a smaller Edria was in the works. What a sweet face. I'm going to have to pass on this one sadly. Car repairs before dolls

 

She is not smaller. The size is the same. It's a different version of the regular Edria but I'm not sure what are the differences except the make-up.

 

This is a different head from the regular Edria. The head is meant to be a younger version of Edria. You can check Julia's flickr and see progress pictures of the head.

Looking at the new Edria pictures makes me want my own so bad D: I'm still in that "over 35+ days wait" boat, but I also supposed they were celebrating the New Year.

Hey guys, for those of you who have Edria(s) with you already -- mine is gone for a faceup currently -- what wig size range do you think fits best? For instance, I've heard that Monique Gold wigs have very stretchy caps, so that large dolls with smaller head circumferences like Iplehouse EID/SID women and Elfdoll girls can actually wear size 7-8 rather than 8-9. Would this apply to Edria too, or not?

Similarly, what eye sizes are working best for you guys? I'm still having trouble deciding between 12mm and 14mm ...

 

I think a stretchy 7-8 would work fine. I had a custom made wig on my Roderich head which is exactly if not almost exactly an 8 and it fit him perfectly. I tried it on my Edria and it was a little loose. So just going on that the 7-8 would probably fit her well. I haven't really tried eyes in her yet, but I have a few pairs laying around that I can when I get home.

 

I just got an email and my Edria will be shipped in ten days. Happy dance!!!!!!

 

Thanks a bunch, Cloudedmind, that's really helpful to know! I'm going to order a Leeke wig and a Monique wig or two in the 7-8 size range then, and see how they fit, since I've heard that Leeke wigs tend to be on the large size and Monique Gold wigs are plenty stretchy.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the eye sizes, too; I did try a few different 14mm pairs in my Edria head before sending her off for faceup, but I don't own any 12mm eyes, so I unfortunately didn't have any basis for comparison ...

Sorry for the late reply. But I tried the few eyes I have, but sadly no pictures. I've got a 12mm Volks HG glass pair, a 16mm Volks acrylic pair and what I think are 8mm. I got them with my Har head so I'm not so sure. The 12mm fit with some gaping they could probably work better with a low dome. The 16mm fit with no gaping but there's hardly any white showing. The 8mm didn't fit at all.

 

Thanks for the help, Cloudedmind. I just had a few pairs of 12mm eyes arrive this week, and lower domed 12mm eyes seem to work best for LLT Roderich too, so I suppose this does mean that my Roderich and Edria will be able to share eyes once she gets back home. (On a side tangent: Wow, are Nabarro Har's eyes really 8mm? I didn't realize his eyes were that small!)

 

The eyes are actually to small for him to. He's probably more like a 10/12mm himself.
