Thanks for this. The neck size between the DT elf body and DT13 body must be very similar because I see the slight gap between the head and neck is about the same. That is my only complaint about the proportion of the LLT Edria head on the DT elf and 13 body is the way the neck openning gaps. I do think the overall proportion of the DT13 body is a bit better overall than with the elf body, but there is not a huge difference. The resin match is really great between LLT and dollstown fresh skin. I do wish they still made the DT15 year old girl for my character, but maybe I can find one used in the MP someday.

but I didn't get any order-confirm mail. Is LLT doesn't have order-confirm mail?

 

LLT did have a order-confirmation e-mail send to the customer but you might have to wait for a while to recieve it... few days may be. ^^;;

norha, if I remember correctly I never received a confirmation of one of my orders with LLT (my second Roderich, I think), but they did sent me a tracking number when it was ready and shipped... This time round I did get a confirmation e-mail, but it arrived a week after I'd placed my order. Their communication can be a bit wonky...

Wow, there are some STUNNING dolls in this thread!!

This is Carmine, my Vampire Edria on a modified IpleHouse nYID body (Sendell, I see we had the same idea!)

She's on an "Addiction Bianca" body (which came with the wings and claw-hands), and I modded her neck to fit. I could probably use the artistry of a pro modder to smooth things out at a certain point (I didn't want to carve down the neck too much, and I couldn't find my half-dome dremel bit to slightly enlarge the neck opening of the head -- so, I just reduced the width of the neck at the top, and reshaped it so that it didn't have an outward curve/bulge, which is how IH heads are designed to fit on their bodies -- they have a larger neck hole in their heads to accommodate it.

All she needs now is a manicure, but I'm still deciding how I want to do her claw-nails. She was a lot of work, but she's VERY much worth it!!

Speaking of, does anyone have size/resin-match suggestions for LLdT WS? (I have an Edria, not a Little Edria.) I'd bought her to go with my SOOM Garnet android body, and she has a lovely cool-colors-and-silver face-up to match, but the body is much more ivory (and looks yellow next to her pink-toned white), and I'm going to have to do a FULL body repaint to get it to look decent.

I'm contemplating going with another body instead, and trying to track down a head that's a better resin-match . . . she's a good size-fit on the SOOM body, and the neck didn't require alteration, but LLdT has the darkest, pinkest WS I've ever seen, so I honestly might have been better off trying to match her to a light-NS body.

(It's a stunning resin color, just an absolute mismatch, even though the Garnet body has been kept in a box since I received it, and is definitely just an ivory-white, not yellowed in any way -- I bought it new from SOOM.)

I may be able to make it work, with a LOT of repainting of the body, but full-body-repaints are subject to chips and scratches, whereas an actual resin-match would only require painting the parts of the body that I wanted to be a different color.

Hiya!

She's wearing Leekeworld 12mm glass eyes -- some 12mm eyes are slightly smaller than others, so I'd go for either 12mm or 14mm (14mm Mako urethane eyes also looked good -- other 14mm eyes were a little too big.)



My open-eyed Edria (who you guys haven't seen yet, because her body customizations are taking *forever* -- she's a cyborg-girl, which means a lot of work for me, especially since I don't own an airbrush) is wearing Leekeworld 12mm glass eyes, and also suits 14mm Makos.

Luckyl - Thanks ! I liked the proportion with the body, but resin match is not 100%, Edria is a .. 'light pink/ivory' WS, Supia is a very 'paper white', but it's very little, I did resin-match in make-up.
Ashbet - I agree with you, Llt is a 'pink white' , I compared it with a Soom WS, FeepleWS(a nanuri 08, and even then is more white) but, and she match better with a Dollmore NS

I'd definitely go with pink (or NS) rather than white . . . it's really challenging to get an entire body to work when you have a resin mismatch, and the LLdT white is *far* from paper-white.



Her shoulder-caps are unpainted (because it would rub when her arms move), and you can see the difference between SOOM white (which is a creamy/light ivory color) and LLdT "white".

I had been planning on painting sections of the Garnet body anyway, so I didn't mind, but I hadn't expected the *degree* of mismatch (it seriously looks like a NS head in comparison, and I'd have been writing LLdT to tell me they sent me a NS head by mistake, if I hadn't bought a NS Vampire Edria head at the same time!!)

LLdT NS is VERY slightly darker and peachier (it's still a very light color, it was a good match with brand-new IpleHouse NS), but it doesn't have that pink-white tone.

It's easier to blush a head darker to match a body, than it is to blush a body darker to match a head -- I've done both, and the latter is a much bigger challenge! (I don't mind blushing cleavage/collarbones/etc. to make the body match a little better, and to make it look more like real skin with varying tones . . . but a serious resin clash is another matter.)

The WS resin is *beautiful* -- luminous and delicate -- but I wish that they made a body to go with it, or had "official" recommendations for well-fitting bodies with similar resin tones!
