La Légende de Temps - Part 3

i've been pretty lucky with fast: 2 weeks or so door to door, to more than a month. even at the height of the pandemic. i think the longest thing i waited for after shipping out was a head from Korea took 3 months even as EMS.

Was mostly concerned it just was pinging "the airlines receive it" for 3 weeks solid, and recently things were moving quickly again, so that seemed odd. but suddenly - not so much everything grinds to a halt again. time to relentlessly stalk the number... i get a little more worried too when the dates say after x days we return to sender. hopefully they give a bit more time to sort it all out.

my poor Lazuli is languishing in the cargo bay, doesn't even have a frosty drink....
(but at least he's got his friends with him)

 

Well, my boy suddenly popped back onto the radar, and was delivered only two days later. I haven't had time to have a look at him, but the new LLT shipping boxes are amazing and sturdy with those hard plastic reinforced corners, so I'm assuming for now that he's fine.

Funny thing is, I've been waiting various numbers of months for an IOS boy and outfits from two of Moonlight BJD's Chinese seamstresses...and all of them also arrived within the past week. The postal systems may be slow and nerve-wracking these days, but they do seem to come through in the end.

I think that all of us who ordered from this last batch may have gotten a little lucky. Julia seems to be losing interest in producing dolls at the moment - her website doesn't even work anymore. I'm sort of wondering if this may be the last time we'll see the dolls offered again for quite some time. I hope not, but it really does look that way...

 

No worry, she will continue. And this year she will open another order period. I last saw her on weibo she was saying these plans.

but what I want to see the most is her new works. She posted the work of a male head and a female body long time ago, no update since. So curious to see.

my boy Lazuli is home! the new packaging/boxes are terrific, you could see how the postal service was trying like all heck to destroy it, but he survived without a scratch! i am so in love with those ---gloves--- good lord.

 

@Grimalkin Amazing packing, right?? I think that a lot of dolls were damaged in the past shipments, so she did her best to keep them safe this time. Agreed...the glove hands are fantastic - I felt a little guilty for spending so much on them, but it turns out they were worth it! I may need to get them in the white we saw on IG when they're released. Congrats on your boy's safe arrival!!

Good to know @elovesgr - I didn't think that she was quitting altogether, but I got the feeling that she was taking an extended break. Looking forward to her cleaning out my bank account again in the future!

I got an update from LLT today and they'll be sending me a replacement foot! Whew~ I'm so glad!

In the meantime, I gave my boy a face and I'm so blown away by him.. omg! His name is Izaak.

I just got my 2 Roderich boys. Im struggling a little bit finding pants for them becausr their booties are so big. Does anyone know of a good size or a good place to get pants. Thanks

 

I bought some nice faux leather pants from @Darkling (sorry for calling you, but it's important ^^).

That's unfortunately correct, I can't ship overseas right now. There's a "cheap" option available again but It can take about 3 months or longer and I don't want people filing a claim with PP just because it's real slow
If people don't mind the super high shipping costs otherwise, there's a tracked and insured shipping option for whopping €56 *ouch*

I am waiting for the shipping going back to normal because I have a few pants finished for sale for a while now.

I've been trying to get a Neil for some time, but it seems like every time any of the dolls are available, I've just missed the cut-off date. Tried checking the store site and the blog, but the store doesn't really have any info I need and the blog hasn't been updated in years.
