Man! I was a little nervous today when I got my package form LLT. With all the mistakes going on, I didn't know what to expect!

I lucked-out and it was the normal skin Roderich head I ordered. And, Im happy to report he is gorgeous! He's a little lighter in color than I expected. And, with the size of the head, I will definitely be looking for a 70cm body.

Enki, when you get your Roderich, it would be great to see photos of him on the Popo body. I've been wondering about the resin match with the Roderich head.

Rabbit -moon...I have actually purchased the Roderich Head from Enki (she decided he looked too mature for what she wanted) but I was curious about the PopoDoll match, PM her and here is her response:

The Roderich head did match the Popodoll jointed hands I have [they're newer], but the rest of the body is blushed, so I cannot compare. :/ Even size-wise it's a good match. No bobble-headedness. The only discrepancy I had was with the Popodoll neck. Depending on which wig you use [I recommend a longer one], you can get away with hiding the length of it.

Hope this helps...currently debating between a DikaDoll and PopoDoll for the body myself

Ok, are there any people whe haven't got their heads by now?
According to the tracking it's still in Shanghai, and the status doesn't change since November, 22nd.
What is going on? EMS has never been so slow. There is no e-mail contact at their website, so I called EMS
in Ukraine (the counry I live in), they said that it's not in Ukraine yet, so what should I do?

 

Utoshi-san, unfortunately LLT can't do anything about that, I think

Sometimes it might take a loong time for the package to get sent, since they might wait until the airplane is full until they sent it out (or so I heard) and i think once or twice it has taken a week or more for shipping to get past some point. But that is odd, since EMS should be fast. I hope you get it. Though you could try to email llt to try to call to ems.

Also, my head is in customs now.. this is going to be expensive again.. ^^;

 

@Utoshi-san: I haven't recieved my package yet either (I'm in the Netherlands and EMS doesn't ship from China to the Netherlands). And I have no idea where it is now, since my tracking number refuses to work.

 

Woohoo! \o/ I got my boy Roderich home today and in right colour (tan) and he is downright gorgeous. I have no idea which company has the same tan if any.. it's really dark.

And I have been thinking that has anyone gotten white skin? Would it be possible, if the ones you got were the right ones (white skin) but they don't look like regular white skin. Like Leeke nowadays has quite white resin as normal skin and Spirit doll white is just light normal. : o dunno, just wondering since it's bit odd that no one has gotten "white" but everyone got ns. Pity no one ordered both colours to do a comparison (I think?)

Yeah, I kind of wonder if Rabbit-moon's Roderich is white. He looks a lot paler than what we received, but that could just be the photo. The white skin, from the photos on LLT, just looks like a lighter shade of normal. Seems like the only way to know for sure is by comparing it to a Vincent heads, since we know those were only available in white. Armeleia sent me a shot of her Vincent head with a few other dolls and confirmed that it really is an excellent match for Volks white. So I know for certain that the heads we received were normal skin.

 

I received my package on Tuesday, and the contents were correct, a very gorgeous NS Roderich head! However, that means I unfortunately can't really help with the question of what LLT's white resin looks like. ^^;

I can confirm that the Roderich head can be put on the old-style 70cm DZ body with the 11cm neck with no issues of neck fit or weird proportions. Can't say much about resin match since the body I stuck him on belongs to my tan DZ boy, the only doll I have with me at the dorms at this moment. XD;;

Anything else: Overall, the resin is smooth and weighty and the sculpt is just as finished and beautiful as expected. Headcap fit is fine, magnets are suitably strong. The only question I have is, does anyone else's Roderich head have one eye-well that seems a bit bigger and/or somewhat more irregularly shaped than the other?

 

Actually, I was just about to post about this problem! The issue seems to be that the eye well wall is too close on his left eye. This causes the eye to gap. I have spent the last hour or so carefully scraping out the eyewell with a round-bladed ceramic knife. I plan to do the same to the other eyewell also, because I'd like to be able to use a wider selection of eyes. So far, the only eyes that have fit well without the modification have been Soom 14mm, Enchanted 14mm, Volks acrylic 14mm and the glass eyes shipped with him.

While I was at it, I opened the hole for the s-hook a tiny bit so I could try him on the old Dollshe body. I like the proportions, but I expect I'll probably have to modify the neck on the newer bodies and I'll fix the mobility issues then. The adam's apple on the Dollshe body prevents the head from tilting forward.

Ah, St. James, your pictures of your Roderich head on that Dollshe body really makes me wish I could have gotten one this time around. He looks so handsome and the proportions spot on. Also what color Dollshe body is that, Fresh or Oriental?

 

That's an old V2 Dollshe body that I swiped from one of my other dolls temporarily, so it's the old normal skin. It's a bit paler and more pink than the head, but the resin colors varied a lot at the time. The previous pictures I posted with the head on the taller DSAM 32 body are the new orientalskin resin, and that's the color I'll be ordering.

Aw, thank you very much for that, F_Mihael^^! I expected him to be stuck in customs, i kind of know the drill by now, but it's nice that I can now check^^. Hopefully he'll be here soon now.

 

Thanks, St. James! Yep, it's the left eye-well that's smaller for my Roderich head as well, so I'll probably try to open it up a bit when I have time. The proportions with the Dollshe body look wonderful; if I might ask, what's the neck circumference of the old and new Dollshe bodies?

 

Supposedly the neck on the new body will be the same circumference (11cm) as the old one as it is intended to be compatible with old Dollshe heads. The new Pure bodies won't start shipping until the end of January though, and they haven't yet posted measurements. I'm quite certain modification will still be required - the last two I did required a hack-saw and a lot of filing - but I don't think this will be that drastic.
