I´m looking for a resin comparison of Infiniti white skin to Soom white skin or Souldoll white skin. How far is it from LLT white skin?

this is the first time im in this thread and already im blown away by the photos!! they are all so goodlooking, congrats everyone!! ♥

 

Gawain, my Roderich, finally has a body too! I went for the 65 cm Dollzone body in NS-pink. The resin colour is a really good match, though not identical. I'm very pleased with it, and also with the proportions, though I guess my Roderich is the shortest of the lot . Like Sjota, I've noticed that the movement of the head is pretty limited - there is no way he can really look up. That does bother me, especially as I'm contemplating buying him a wife who is taller than he :/.

 

Is everyone having head mobility issues? I thought maybe it was just the body we'd chosen, but now I'm thinking that maybe I should widen the neck hole a bit.

 

I also have some issues with the head mobility, it's not very fluid... It kind of pops in place like a gearwheel. My Roderich is on a Popo body.

 

I can pop my Roderich head on my SDGr body later and see how that works since the SDGr body has the bigger of the two necks I have here.

 

Ah. I also thought it was the body at first (my first hybrid...), though I'm used to better head mobility from Dollzone. It must be something about the head, but I'm not savvy enough to know what.

 

I also thought it was the body. I just checked my Roderich head and it could be the back of the head (the lowest part where the head turn into a piece of neck) that's too long, I'm not sure though. I'm not very good at explaning things but I hope you can understand what I mean.

 

I personnaly think it has something to do with the hook position in the head. When I try to pull up his head i see that it stretch the elastic from the neck. Im wondering if I cant fix it with some silicon at the hook position.
Ill try it and post pics later on.

 

I think you're right, Sjota. I moved his head up with the headcap off, and it's obvious the head isn't going to stay up when the elastic pulls at it like that. Looking forward to the results of your experiment!

 

My boy's body finally arrived yesterday and I put him together last night and sat him down with his brother. Still not painted, but here is a crappy iPod photo of the twins!

Kyros on the left is mine, Lysander on the right is idrisfynn's. I opened Lysander's eyes just a touch so we could tell them apart!

I also compared the neck hole in the Roderich head to the neck hole in the Orijean head that came with the Dollshe body. As I suspected, the neck hole in the Roderich head is much deeper, with the concavity being almost straight-walled! So I filled the entire base of concavity with a layer of hot glue, maybe 6mm deep, and smoothed it all out so that it's a shallower well. Now his head mobility is great and I didn't have to modify either part!

I had actually thought about doing the same thing for my twins for pretty much the same reason, and also because Ciaran doesn't act as serious as Enna, and thought that slightly opening his eyes would give him more of a playful look.

 

You're right to think so, he definitely looks more playful with wider eyes!

 

Good to know! Now if the face-up artist I want re-opens shop I'll be in business.

 

Quoting myself here and I confirm that the hook positition in the Roderich head is the problem.
I did not have any silicon at home but I tried to cheat with the neck part that comes with the Spiritdoll Proud body.
Ofc It´s not really pretty with the neck part (but easy to hide with a wig), something thinner at the neck position or inside the head at the hook position would do the job.

For me they could not look up, but it's very clever idea! I have to memorize that!
I adore them : ) I love their sculpts, very interesting and it could give many makeup possibilities!

I took advantage of our freakishly warm weather and gave the twins some hasty face-ups on New Years Day, so at least they won't be sitting around blank for the upcoming rainy season! We are very happy with how they look on the Dollshe Pure bodies!
