1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

La Légende de Temps - Roderich & Vincent

Sep 13, 2010

    1. Thanks ^^

And yeah, it must be the sculpt cause if I would've done this face up on any of my other boys I probably wouldn't be satisfied, something would've gone wrong :/

    2. My second Roderich head arrived on Christmas Eve :). The weather doesn't really allow face-upping just now, so Roderich 2 will have to remain blank for a while... He'll be an altrenative head (with beard :)) for Gawain.

      - I also wanted to add that I have created a photo thread for LLT - I was surprised to find that there wasn't one yet. Please contribute!

    3. Hello! It's me again! Feels like I'm posting this thread to death XD

Does anyone know if the dollshe pale tan matches the LLT tan? Or does anyone know of some other good match?
(I already know about the crobidoll tan and the angelsdoll tan, but both are hard to find :(, and the crobi body doesn't really appeal to me.)

    4. I have a question too. Do any of you contacted La Légende de Temps in the past? How much time do they take to answer usually? I have an order with them and I wanted a confirmation as I find the website a bit confusing. I don't have any news after one week, I'm kinda worried.

    5. It took them a lot more than a week to answer me! But they will answer, I think. Also, as I've understood it, you don't need a confirmation. But send them another e-mail just to be sure ^^

    6. Thank you Resi, I hope they will answer soon, it's kind of stressful having so much money in the air without knowing if everything is ok. But I'll be more patient and wait at least another week.

    7. Just got my confirmation today, I'm sooo happy I think I'm going to cry (or not, it's late here and I'm always more sentimental when I'm tired haha) still I'm so happy! I wanted to write my happiness somewhere so here I'm and thank you! He wasn't planned, I just totally fell in love with him, but I regret nothing! I can't wait to see that wonderful sculpt in real in front of me in all his tan gorgeousness (is that a word? english is not my first language...).

And now to read every page of this thread to find him a body! ^_^

    8. Congrats! I was just as happy when I finally got my confirmation ^^

      Who did you order?

    9. Thank you! ^_^ Oh yeah I forgot to tell who! Roderich, in tan skin. I'm even more happy to have him as he was on my top 5 in my wishlist. I now wonder if he is going to be the old version or the new version with thicker resin in the eyes. O.o

Oh Resi I see you have a Roderich in tan too, congrats! You must be really happy as he is your grail doll! This sculpt is so gorgeous and the tan is lovely, I couldn't resist when I saw him! ^_^

    10. I'm ordering a Roderich head but wondering which eye size looks/fits better, 14mm or 12mm? If anyone has reference pictures, that would be wonderful!

    11. I've got 14mm Gumdrops in my Roderich and they are a perfect fit! :)

    12. Okay, thank you so much! :whee:

    13. My Gawain (older Roderich head) wears 14 mm eyes from Alice's Collections (high domes). I think 12 mm would probably work too, provided they were oval eyes. My new Roderich head can't wear the high domes that the old could, and I intend to try oval eyes for him.

    14. My boy wear 12mm silicon eyes :

    15. And there's no gapping for either of them? Thank you so much for the pictures, they're such beautiful boys~ :)

    16. My boy is wearing 12 mm silicon eyes by eyeco

    17. There will be gaping with 12mm round glass eyes. But eyeco silicon or oval eyes should do.
My boy's eyes are as well from eyeco.

    18. What Sjota said. I like smaller irises, especially in more mature/adult sculpts, so I really prefer 12 mm, but in regular, round eyes, 12 mm will be slightly gappy. That is why I would like to try 12 mm but in oval eyes.

Sjota, Katalina, your boys are gorgeous! Katalina, yours looks like a kind of modern elf :D - I love his style.

    19. I think I'd also throw in my vote for 12mm eyes being best-suited for the Roderich sculpt, if you can avoid the gapping. I've tried both in my Roderich; below are 14mm round acrylic eyes in the first pic, vs. 12mm oval flat-backed glass eyes in the second. In the second photo, the LLT Edria (open eyes version) is also wearing 12mm eyes from the same maker, just in a different color.

Also, since the Roderich sculpt has half-lowered eyelids and somewhat deep eyewells, I would recommend eyes with lower domes when possible.

Gosh, it's so nice to look at everyone else's gorgeous dolls here! If only we could have a giant meet-up of all our Roderichs from around the globe, haha ...

    20. I'd love that :P. I'd say the Edrias can come too...
