@Spenatskalle: Happy update, my package has reached the U.S. now (although it's still in Alabama customs, and I'm all the way over in California, lol). It seems like Chinese EMS is just on the slow side, so don't worry, I think yours will update from "Despatch from Sorting Center" in a few more days, too.

Thanks so much for posting pics of the heads, guys! ^3^ Roderich is gorgeous. I wish I could order him, but I don't give hope I can do it later. However an info given on previous posts is bothering me: owners said the head is small (8"-9")... but the neckhole is made for 11mm necks, and the bodies which have this size of neck are often huge (65-70cm), I don't understand the choice of making a 11cm neck hole for a small head, where on earth will we find a body that fits the proportions AND the neck??

 

The Roderick and Vincent that Spiral and I purchased (one each) came home today safely! I was so nervous after all of the missing heads

A few of my 70cm dolls have heads that small, so I think that a tall slim silhouette should work for this guy. Our twin Roderichs are being delivered today, so we can try him on a few bodies this evening. 11cm will also allow us to put him on a Dollstown 15 body or a Volks Graffiti if we're looking for a 60cm doll. I know I'll have to do some modding to make it work, but I think I want to try the new Dollshe Pure body for these guys.

 

Thank you St James, I can't wait for your impressions (and congrats, btw! ^^). I love the DT body, but the neck is 10,1cm, I'm curious to see if the head will fit well on it, without a too large gap or making the neck too short...

I have an IOS head and while the size for the wigs is 8-9" too, the head looks good only on 65cm or 70cm bodies. Because the head has a very long face, it looks it's too big on 60cm bodies, even if the skull is small. So I can understand the paradox. ^^

 

Oh gosh, have you tried sending them an email yet? I've sent one, but it seems like they're being characteristically slow about answering.

Well.....they sent the wrong color. Opened both of the Roderich boxes and could tell they were normal skin before I even took them out of the box. I am sort of boggling at the disorganization of these two individuals (since as far as I know the company consists of two people). WTF. And I'm just going to delete my little rant and leave it at that.

The Roderich sculpt is gorgeous and fits right in with our doll family; head size is perfect and he looks appropriately related to my Genji and idrisfynn's Corvi.
Since I had all of our Volks dolls standing around in the workroom for another project, I snapped a couple of shots. Not going to do any body trials since these heads aren't ours and will need to be returned.

The flash really washed out the head in these shots, but the match between the pureskin normal and Roderich is actually very good. He's also just a touch lighter than Dollshe/Dollstown Orientalskin.

st. james...maybe you could switch your normal skinned boy with someone else who gets white skin?? i bet you won't be the only one that gets the wrong color..or maybe someone might realize they want normal instead? anyway, thanks for the photos.

 

Wow, so.. my head arrived today? But they never sent me a shipping notice... I don't think I will order from them again, even though their sculpts are lovely. I was anxious throughout the whole process. xD

I hope that everyone else gets their orders soon. ;;

EDIT: ...They sent me the wrong colored head as well.. Dx I ordered WS and they sent NS..
