My handcasted Ted Brooklyn hates wigs. He will only wear his knit cap. Briar Rose (Hanyuu) however has much hair in her future.
Very ,very sweet// Is he standing on his own? I am afraid to stand Hanyuu on her own....I guess I need to balance her better,,,,,I do not want to hurt those wonderful ears... Ted looks really good in that blue......
BlueDollyKiss, do you mind if I ask what eyes Nexus is wearing? dolllife, I can tell you my Ted stands is some of the cutest poses. If I can finally get some good lighting, I'll snap a few shots of him. Darned gloomy weather. grrrrr
hello dollife1, Nexus can stand on her own but I feel safer if she's leaning on something. lossefaire, Nexus is wearing oval shaped almost flat acrylic eyes that came with her. She cannot wear eyeball-shaped eyes.
I stand my two all the time, actually. They don't like to do it (they would rather sit) but they stand just fine. They've also both taken their share of faceplants and been completely fine. Of course, now that I have seen and felt the professional casts, I understand dolllife1's concern--the artist casts are heavier, more solid. BlueDollyKiss, you can take a 14mm eye beveler (available for like, two dollars at Mini World online) and a few hours of spare time to bevel out Nexus's eyes. I did it with my Ayo, and he can now wear his round Gumdrops with ease.
I tightened up the stringing on my little blue Breckon. He was doing fine before, but for the kinds of posing I'll have him involved with, I thought I'd try tightening. Worked like a charm. ^_^
Thanks for all the responses my friends.... I do not want anything to happen to Hanyuu..She can stand on her own also but I do not leave her like that ever.. I have a hand in front and behind.. maybe tightening her stringing would work...but for now I am happy as she is... she is my kind of perfect... smiles, Barb
Thanks for posting her pix... I just love her in braids and her cap... she likes it too.... Are these not the most wonderful bjds?? I have such a good time with this girl
Yep, that is her little kiwi.. she has a thing for strange pets..... He came from a doll friend in New Zealand.. Actually, he is my second one... one of my dogs found the first one I received very attractive....
I love the original blue, red, purple and black! Have you thought of doing any more casts with the original colors you had? I love the professional casts too, but something about those darker colors just pulls at me... BTW; Congrats on your success!!! You have made some wonderful dolls!!!
Well, purple won't be produced again, for sure. I've got the only one...he was a dye mishap (supposed to be red) and I don't think LS is anxious to play dye roulette with her expensive projects any time soon, lol. Bobobie doesn't offer the darker colours, but I know there's someone on this board who can dye dolls just about any colour for a fee.
Here is Briar Rose, with her new and improved faceup. The original one was a disaster, I did it in a rush, just goes to show. Hope you like her!
Very sweet.... Hanyuu says a big hello to her cousin.... I could never do any type of face up.. I am very fortunate that Lady S did mine for me..... I would LOVE to see purple Ted..... All of these are wonderful kids.....
Purple Ted, lol. Although he's really more of a burgundy/black swirl, I don't see purple at all except for in LS's original first photos of him. His name is Deva. Being all broody and evil and faceless. (Note my whiteskin Ted behind him and thwippersnapple's NS Ted off to the right...all three of them are part of the original 32) I said evil, I meant it. All I did was make him mad at Megacon, really. Gotta love the pointer hand.
