1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

~~**Ladysaiyuki's professionally casted Ted and Hanyuu **~~

Dec 29, 2007

    1. CathyM - The color of your Ted is amazing... and that faceup matches the skin color so well!!! <3

    2. She is so darling. I had planned for a boy, but the face was rather girlish to me. That lip! I love it.

The color is wonderful. Kind of a minty, icy blue and it's totally even. No marbling at all. No parting seams. All sanded evenly. I am really impressed.

    3. Sanded?! That is delightful news! I was just starting to wonder if I would be able to sand him, so hopefully I won't need to.

    4. Sanding a doll is not really hard. Just takes patience. AND ventilation AND a mask. :)
She is terribly kicky at the moment, but I will coat her, and restring her and that should fix THAT. Or sueding.
Part of that problem is that she IS sanded so smooth! Funny dilemma.

    5. I was just worried about sanding a doll of color. I only have NS dolls. These Teds will be my first colorful dolls. I know with most tanned resin sanding leads to whiteness. I wasn't sure how these little ones' skin would fare.

..oh the wretched masks... hours of hot breathing...

    6. You won't have to sand these kids, they are pretty darn smooth.

    7. Yay...they can wear M. Alexander-kins clothes!
I have an old Red Riding Hood dress, and it fits her perfect.
Wrong shade of blue, mind you. But it FITS. Yahoo.

    8. That dress.. those shoes... adorable!

    9. OK. I just went through all 7 pages of the Waiting Room, and did not find a thread for these cuties. Did I miss it, or can we start one?

*sigh* DOA life without Search is long. XD

    10. Okay, guys. I went to IDEX this year and took my Ted-lets.

http://www.leeann.ca/ See this website? Check out Leeann. Leeann's clothes fit Ted perfectly. Even the jeans look amazing over his bubble butt! The shoes fit wonderfully, too. And it's all totally affordable...fully lined jeans for $15?! Sneakers for $7.50? Yes, it's true!

The guy who makes these dolls was quite excited to let me and my girl try things on our Teds, and we ended up buying several things from him. He's in Canada, so it might behoove us to save on shipping with a group order, if anyone's interested. I did promise him I would steer the Ted-owning group over to his site, so here's the post. Let me know if you're interested...I plan to order from him (we were rather rushed as the retail room was about to close when we were in there) soonish. :)

And I can post pix of Ayo in his jeans and sneaks, and I'm sure I can get my girl to take pix of Lucien in his L-style outfit, if anyone wants to see.

    11. good to know as I think I have a few LeeAnn outfits for my Yo kids..

Ted will have a ski outfit, now he just needs a face...

    12. Faces!

For anyone who has a colored Ted or Hanyuu with a face, would you mind posting some photos? I would like to see what various faceup colors look like on the colored skin. Thanks!

    13. I met Natalie and her amazing kids at IDEX. The pics don't even begin to show how totally cute they are!

    14. My Ted! Sprog ...also made it home

LOVE LOVE LOVE !"it" because Sprog isnt sure what it is ...but Im thrilled ...I am not supposed to be buying at all ...not after my tax bill LOL
BUT I am thinking I have to get me a Green Hanyuu

    15. Sprog doesn't have to choose. My Ayo doesn't. I say "he" but..."he" has long red hair and a drop-pendant necklace. Also a raglan jersey, jeans, and sneaks, but hey. My whole story about him is that he is both and neither at once...doesn't care which pronoun you call him and will dress exactly as he wants, lol. Which means I get to put him in dresses, too. I love it.

    16. My Ted arrived this morning and it was :aheartbea and :D and :fangirl: at first sight. He's soooo cute and the professional cast is very impressive! He is silky-smooth with no trace of seam lines whatsoever. He curled up in my hand as if he's always been there and with a little patience I got him to stand, despite the slightly loose stringing these little ones came with.

      A pic:

I can't wait to give him his first face-up!

Thank you so much Lady Saiyuki!!

    17. Oh the cuteness. How precious he looks all curled up. ^___^

    18. Who's got stringing tips for me?

    19. ^_^ super happy to see that everyone seems to be having fun on the discussion thread ^_^

as for stringing tips ^^; oh dear...yeah they are strung a bit different...as for me I just hot glue sueded them and it improved their movement and ability to hold poses like at least 10 fold ^_^ it's clear and quick ^.^
Stella ^_^ you should totally post your Hanyuu when she's all done up O.O I"m dying to see her ^.^

      oh and just to let everyone know the Second preorder is up and in full swing and I plan to close it on the 15th of Feb ^_^ it's looking like it's going to be a small one...but eh...small is better than none I guess ^.^ I can't wait to show you all my two new head sculpts I'm working on ^^; it's been a bit slow for me due to me leaving all my dremeling and sculpting tools at Idex with Catrina ^^; dummy me ^^; I have to wait until Catrina gets some free time to hunt them down in her many many boxes and trys to get them to me before I can go back into full swing O.O as I really don't have the money to go get another 80+$ dremel and such ^^; as I'm pretty broke ^^;

but I'm so super happy that everyone is sharing there dolls on here ^_^ I love them all and I'm so very glad that you guys like them so much ^_^ it brings so much joy seeing all of you enjoy Ted and Hanyuu ^_^ *Huggles on everyone*
