1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

~~**Ladysaiyuki's professionally casted Ted and Hanyuu **~~

Dec 29, 2007

    1. Stringing tips:

      S-hooks for hands and feet.

I had to undo the knotted elastic to coat my Ted with MSC and I toyed with the idea of attaching small loops of string as are in Bambicronies but settled on making teeny little s-hooks. I think I made 9 - more rejects than ones that actually worked.

Properly made, you're supposed to realm out the resin in the hand the elastic currently loops around, drill across the wrist and insert a metal rod to hold the hook, but I just made my s-hooks fit around the existing resin (lazy... and scared of the drill!!). A little tricky to make them fit just right, but it seems to work fine!

Ted's much easier to unstring now, and I'm not going to be untying and retying the elastic at different points, changing the stringing tension inadvertently in the future.

If pics would be of interest, I could be persuaded to take some tomorrow. :)

Edit: P.S>Two new heads, LS!! Can't wait!! :D

    2. YaY!! TWO new heads... I soooo can't wait to see them!! :) :)

    3. hehehe ^_^ I'm super excited about my two new heads ^o^ I hope you all will like them as much as I will ^-^ I'll be sure to post some pics here for you guys ^_^ as well as in my Artist thread and of course on my own website ( Ladysaiyuki.com ) ^.- you guys should check it out ^_^

    4. Will the new heads be cast by Bobobie like Ted and Hanyuu? I'm so excited to see them! I decided to wait out this preorder, since I want to make sure which head I'm most in love with first. ;)

    5. Thank you Gelfling.
      Two new heads are exciting.

    6. Two new heads..... ohnoes.. this could be dangerous.

      ;)

    7. Have to share my Hanyuu!

    8. And a photo of grumpy Ted in a cute Konlin outfit :)

    9. She's such a cutie! :) I'm curious, though, if anyone has any photos of Hanyuu with her eyes in another position, besides looking up? I love my dolls to have a sideways glance, and I'm wondering if that would work for Hanyuu.

    10. actually Briar Rose, my Hanyuu is side glancing but she looks a little nervous! I'm just doing her faceup this weekend, I'll take some photos as soon as I can.

    11. Hanyuu would look cute with teeth (just a random thought), if anyone's up to trying a mod.

You guys are soo good with your eye placement.... I seem to have real trouble getting them both facing the same way. My Ted is a bit cross-eyed, and my Noah (and a few other dolls) have thier eyes just not facing the same way, and it irks me to now end. What's the secret to getting them straight? Anyone?

    12. Looking forward to the photos! :)

Just keep working at it! Sometimes I can spend half an hour messing with eyes until I get them both straight, and in the correct position. I've also heard that holding your doll up to a mirror can help you to spot any imperfections in eye position.

    13. I finished her this weekend greeniebone, I will take pictures tommorow. She is very flamboyant and colorful and I don't remember which way her eyes are going anymore! One thing I think the elastic could be changed out it is very thin.

    14. But I still wanted to share these photos of Briar Rose with her new faceup. Clothes by me, eyes and wig thanks to her fairy godmother sgtgeorgecarter.

Oh, and that's her brother Brooklyn with her.

    15. My Ted has a face-up - finally - but no name as yet, and he's in borrowed eyes, wig, and - um - clothing (such that it is!).

      But please enjoy him nonetheless!

    16. Gelfling- Your Ted's faceup is AWESOME. I love how natural it is, yet it still reflects his personality 100%!! One tip... those fake eyelashes for $3 at walgreens (cut to size) would do wonders! ;)

    17. Gelfling, your Ted is adorable. I quite like Ted as a boy even without eyelashes.

    18. Gelfling; your username reminds me of the dark crystal xD <#3

i never realized how nice bobobie's tan colour is owo

Cute teds and hanyuus everyone! =w=

    19. Stella, Gelfling ^_^ I love you kids! they are too cute! do share more with us. I so wish to see more, thankies so very much for sharing them with us ^.^

GB, I will take some pics today of a Hanyuu looking in a few different directions...the reason why I face the eyes up is I think it expresses more personality...^^; if you look at all of my dolls...you will see that I'm guilty of tilting all of their eyes up slightly ^^; it's just a preference of mine....

and yes CK I sooo Agree with you...Loving on the Tan skin...actually Julia's Tan baby has convinced me that I can't live without a Tan SD sized Ted ^_^ hehehe ^_^ can't wait till I send him off to Dennis to be casted O.O so can't wait O.O

and I'm so glad to see so many on here enjoying their selves looking and discussing my little Ted an Hanyuu ^_^ *huggles on everyone*
